Chapter 1242: What Should I Do?
Chapter 1242: What Should I Do?
As soon as July Quinn stood by the door for a short while, the man noticed her presence. He quickly put aside his phone call, rushing over to pull her into his arms.
"Why are you standing here? The wind is strong, you know?"
He hurriedly pushed July Quinn into the room, guiding her to the warm lamp, letting her warm up while draping a blanket over her.
"Your health hasn’t been great already. If you catch a cold, it’ll be trouble."
He wished he could wrap July Quinn up like a dumpling, and then keep the dumpling in his arms.
"I’m not that fragile."
July Quinn couldn’t help but laugh.
But the man buried his face in her neck.
"July, I don’t know if I’m being selfish like this. Knowing your health isn’t great, yet still wanting you to have my child."
Kyle Keaton spoke these words with his eyes hidden in July Quinn’s neck.
July couldn’t see his expression, but she could feel the worry and unease in his hoarse voice.
"I’ve heard that giving birth is like a trip to the gates of hell, and yet I selfishly await this child’s arrival... What if something happens to you; what would I do?"
The last thing he wished for was for July Quinn to be at risk.
And now he vilely wanted July Quinn to have a child, taking her through the gates of hell.
What an evil man!
July suddenly realized that this man truly cared for her.
Cared so much that he feared childbirth might take her away.
She reached out to stroke his head, her fingers gently running through his hair.
"Yes, it’s a bit risky, but it’s not to the extent of a trip to the gates of hell."
"But there’s always the chance of something happening. If that chance suddenly appears, what would I do?"
And so, after finding out he was going to be a father, Kyle Keaton seamlessly transitioned between joy and anxiety.
July tried to comfort him multiple times, but upon realizing she couldn’t, she just went to bed.
Yes, she was very tired.
It seemed that it had been like this lately, probably because of the pregnancy.
Later, when Kyle Keaton saw her asleep, unsure of whom to share his joy and anxiety with, he simply sat at the edge of July Quinn’s bed.
And there he sat, until dawn.
Thus, when July Quinn opened her eyes the next day, she saw the man by her bedside.
He seemed to be looking at July Quinn with deep concentration, not even blinking.
"Did you stay up all night?"
July Quinn frowned.
"Not the whole night,"
The man snapped back, his voice notably hoarse.
Clearly, his words carried obvious deception.
July Quinn didn’t know what to say, so she chose to ignore him and went downstairs for breakfast.
Laura Quinn had a meeting early today, but she still personally prepared breakfast for July Quinn.
An egg, a piece of meat pie, along with milk and vegetable soup.
This was a breakfast July Quinn used to enjoy, but today, after a few bites, her stomach started to churn.
Soon after, July Quinn couldn’t help but run to the bathroom.
The sudden movement startled Laura Quinn and Richard Donovan.
"What’s wrong with Baby? Was it because my breakfast wasn’t fresh?"
"Doesn’t seem like it. She might not be feeling well! We need to call the family doctor!"
"I’ll call the family doctor immediately."
Richard Donovan stood by the bathroom door, while Laura Quinn hurried off to find the family doctor.
