Chapter 1236: Head of the Keaton Family

Chapter 1236: Head of the Keaton Family

The shock in the audience seemed to be somewhat dissipated by the arrival of this special forces team. As all eyes watched, the cabin door opened.A group of men, dressed in the combat uniforms of the Keaton Family’s Vanguard Corps, quickly escorted over a dozen people toward the stage.

Perhaps considering them a lifeline, the spectators automatically cleared a path for this team.

As they approached, Jennings realized that these were the very commander of the bodyguard squads he had deployed around Century Plaza.

They were appointed as bodyguard squad leaders because of their exceptional skills and excellent marksmanship.

But now, one by one, they were brought onto the stage like prisoners by the Keaton Family’s Vanguard Corps.

Jennings began to panic.

Because these bodyguards stationed around Century Plaza were his last trump card.

If they were captured, his plan would fail.

Yet, he still clung to a shred of hope.

Until he heard one of the Keaton Family soldiers escorting the bodyguards suddenly ask Kyle Keaton, "Lord Keaton, how should we handle these people?"

"Lord Keaton"!

Isn’t that the title for the Head of the Keaton Family?

Even though he had never met this man, reputed to have power over clouds and rain, Jennings had heard many legendary tales about him.

The Marsden Family elders had compiled a collection of this man’s extraordinary feats from around the world, using it to mentor Jennings in hopes that he might one day become a formidable figure like Lord Keaton.

Thus, the title "Lord Keaton" was indeed well-known to Jennings.

Yet, Jennings never imagined that one day he would encounter the Lord Keaton from his textbooks, especially under such circumstances...

So, does he still have a chance to survive?

"No, this isn’t fair!"

Jennings was almost hysterical.

Why did Kyle Keaton, already owning so much of the Kane Group’s wealth, now become the Head of the Keaton Family, possessing wealth that rivaled a nation?

"You can’t be Lord Keaton; you must be an impostor."

Jennings continued to shout.

However, Kyle Keaton still ignored him: "I’d rather feed him to the sharks."

The tone was indifferent, as if he were disposing of rotten meat.

But in reality, this was a living person.

How could Jennings let someone else decide his fate?

Even if it cost him his life, he would find a way to survive!

Jennings suddenly grabbed a gun again, attempting to kill Kyle Keaton while he was unprepared.

His thought was that if he successfully killed Kyle Keaton, the Keaton Family’s Vanguard Corps would be headless, the wealth rivaling entire nations would be without an heir, and July Quinn would become a widow.

If he could manage this group, maybe he could replace Kyle Keaton, gaining both wealth and beauty.

If not, at least he would have taken Kyle Keaton down with him.

But in that split second, July Quinn unexpectedly took out a handgun from somewhere and fired several shots at Jennings.

Each bullet hit Jennings, eliciting screams of hysterical cries for help from him, but none of the shots hit vital areas. After July Quinn finished shooting, he was left kneeling in a pool of blood, yet not dead.

The sound of gunfire and the bloody scene once again plunged Century Plaza into a state of panic, though fortunately, the Keaton Family’s Vanguard Corps began to maintain order.

A few minutes later, the scene was brought under control.

Thomas Grant prepared to step forward to take Jennings away, intending to take him to sea to be fed to the sharks as instructed by Lord Keaton.

Unexpectedly, July Quinn stopped him: "Wait."
