Another year has passed in a flash, and the end of the year is just around the corner. It feels like each year is going by faster than the last.

When I was talking to a friend about this today, she said it's because as we get older, each year takes up a smaller and smaller portion of our lives, so it feels like time is passing by faster and faster. Thinking about it carefully, there's some truth to that.
