After staying in the hospital for two consecutive days, Shen Yanchen had to go with He Ye to handle some urgent matters at the company. Before leaving, he reassured her multiple times that he would be back soon.
In the afternoon, Shen’s mother went home after checking on the child to prepare lunch for them. Suddenly, a nurse wearing a mask came in and told Gu Qimiao to go downstairs to get medicine for the child.
Gu Qimiao didn’t think much of it. Given the child’s special condition, it seemed normal for the doctor to urgently prescribe some medication. Thinking it wouldn’t take long, she took the prescription and went downstairs.
