Chapter 333 - 311: What if He Really Likes Me?
When they headed back home, it was Rong Yushen who gave her a ride. Su Yan’s car had just arrived a step ahead, and he was now standing on the balcony upstairs, watching the two below who found it hard to part."You bought quite a lot. Do you need help carrying it up?"
An’an hurriedly shook her head, reaching out to take the shopping bags: "I can carry them. You can take the rest home; I can’t eat that much anyway, and my Little Uncle doesn’t really let me eat these things."
"Just take them. I don’t eat these; I bought them for you." He said, carrying the remaining items from the car and walking towards the building with her.
After escorting her into the elevator, An’an said: "Leave the stuff here. You should head back now."
But Rong Yushen stepped into the elevator with her: "It’s fine. I’ll walk you to your door."
Actually, An’an was a bit scared of her Little Uncle finding out. She wasn’t exactly sure why, but she always worried about getting scolded for having a boyfriend
because her Little Uncle had always been strict, saying she couldn’t have a relationship too early and shouldn’t talk to troublesome boys.
Maybe that idea had taken root so deeply that now, even at the age for marriage, she was still anxious about her Little Uncle seeing her with another man.
Rong Yushen didn’t suggest coming in or anything. When they reached her door, he handed her the bags he carried: "Get some rest early."
"Hmm."
"I’ll head back now."
"Alright." An’an hesitated for a moment, then said apologetically: "Sorry, it’s a bit inconvenient with my Little Uncle around..."
"I understand. Come to my place next time. My parents really like you."
An’an smiled shyly: "Really?"
"Yes, go on in."
Watching him turn and enter the elevator, An’an finally took out her key to unlock the door. As soon as the door opened, she trembled all over, seeing Su Yan standing by the door and stammering: "Little Uncle..."
Su Yan remained silent, glanced outside the door, and walked into the house.
He had heard their conversation outside just now.
An’an walked in dejectedly, put the items on the cabinet, then started changing her shoes. Looking at Su Yan, she felt peculiar inside. She hadn’t been this scared of him before, probably because of last night’s events.
"Little Uncle... why did you call me back?"
He sat on the sofa, glaring at her coolly: "At this hour, were you planning to stay over with that man?"
An’an muttered: "I said... I’d come back after dinner."
"Do you know him well?"
"We’re still getting to know each other."
"Have you ever thought he might be using you to get ahead in the entertainment industry?"
Hearing this, An’an was taken aback. She hadn’t thought about it that way, and besides, he didn’t seem like the type with ulterior motives. "He, he probably isn’t that kind of person."
Su Yan sneered: "How long have you known him? Do you really know what kind of person he is? If you’re dating and a paparazzi follows you, if a scandal breaks out, do you understand how much benefit it could bring him?"
An’an was stunned. She hadn’t considered this, and her Little Uncle’s concerns weren’t unfounded. But she just didn’t believe Rong Yushen was that sort of person.
Little Uncle speaking about him like that made her feel a bit uncomfortable.
"Anyway... a scandal won’t harm me. What if he genuinely likes me?"
Su Yan sneered again, said nothing more, and directly went back to his room.
An’an stood there helplessly. She realized that over the years, the gap between her and her Little Uncle had grown wider and wider.
