Gu Qimiao was nervous the whole way, twisting her hands together until they were sweaty.

Xiaoxiao said they had some friends who often hung out at KTV. They could just join them for a bit.

They were all art school classmates, and Gu Qimiao received cheers upon arriving, making her a bit embarrassed.

After some teasing, a waiter came in with a few drinks.

Gu Qimiao glanced at the drink, illuminated by colorful lights making its color unclear. She sniffed it and caught a faint lemon fragrance, which was quite pleasant.

She took a sip, only to find it didn’t taste as good as it smelled - it was a bit bitter and burned her throat.

But thinking about the plan ahead, she forced herself to finish the whole glass.

She thought it would be like champagne, but soon her face felt hot, and her head became dizzy.

Xiaoxiao turned around after chatting with her friends, seeing Gu Qimiao’s empty glass, she widened her eyes, "Gigi, you finished it?!"

Gu Qimiao shook her head a bit, fanning her face, "A bit hot."

"You normally don’t drink. Why are you drinking so much now? I told you just to have a taste. Don’t get really drunk."

Soon, Xiaoxiao’s phone lit up again. She motioned to Gu Qimiao, showing her the caller ID, then answered, "You here? Room 609, come over."

After hanging up, she quickly said to Gu Qimiao, "My brother’s coming soon!"

Shen Yanchen, walking into the KTV with a stern expression, couldn’t believe Gu Moming was still in the hospital and she had come here to drink.

When he entered Room 609, the loud music instantly hit him, making him frown. Seeing Gu Qimiao leaning on Xiaoxiao on the sofa, his frown deepened.

Upon seeing Shen Yanchen, everyone stopped singing in disbelief, a few girls whipped out their phones to take photos.

Ignoring everyone, Shen Yanchen walked straight to Gu Qimiao and asked Xiaoxiao, "What’s going on?"

Shen Yanchen, carrying Gu Qimiao, walked to the car. He set her down, holding her steady with one hand while opening the car door with the other.

Seeing her antics, Shen Yanchen felt both frustrated and amused. He pried her hand off and shoved her into the car. Just as he was about to straighten up, she clung onto him again, murmuring as if she didn’t want to get in the car.

With a sigh, he decided to carry her on his back, closed the car door, and walked home with her on his back.
