Chapter 68 68: Demon from hell
Chapter 68 68: Demon from hell
Caden was done with the day's lectures and it was time to return back to his dormitory.
At this point, his mind was disoriented.
He needed time off, to think properly and to understand what exactly was ongoing.
Again, he needed to summon Alyssa, he's certain there's something his summoned servant needs to report to him.

While the closing bell rang, first year students were seen exiting the departmental building in groups.
Sounds of whispers and mumurs echoed through the air. Many were still talking about Caden's feat.
After all, everything happened today.
It was still fresh in their minds.
Caden was amongst the few students to leave the departmental building last. This was something he had decided.
He didn't want to be greeted by hundreds and thousands of students who wants to be his friends by all means.
Walking out of the building, Caden was in deep thoughts. His eyebrows furrowed, not minding his surroundings.
He could be seen whispering to himself when a voice called out to him.
He slightly tilted his gaze, recognizing the voice. His movements came to a halt "Prince Hetu?" His brows curled up.
Running towards him was infact Prince Hetu of the Red Crescent Kingdom. A friend of Caden.
Caden breathed in deeply, it didn't take Prince Hetu much time to catch up to Caden.
His lips beamed with smiles "Hi Caden, what's up" Prince Hetu voiced out, Caden exhaled softly.
He shrugged "Nothing much, I'm just heading back to the special dormitory, that's all"
"How was the sword cultivation class?" Caden asked. Prince Hetu smirked, his arms folded "Well it was good tho"
Since both figures stayed in the special dormitory. They were heading towards the same direction "I'm still thinking of who to challenge"
"I'm still at the bottom rank tho" Prince Hetu answered.
Caden chuckled "Bottom rank?" He asked, "Your ranking number is below 20, there are many who will kill to be in your position"
"But I do understand why you feel that way, despite having such number….it still isn't enough right?" Caden asked.
Prince Hetu nodded "Yeah, that's what I've been telling my brothers but they think I'm battle hungry"
"That I'm selfish and all" Prince Hetu scoffed. Caden couldn't help but smile "Well follow your heart"
"But if I may ask…..what rank do you desire? Do you want to challenge me?" Caden asked.
Prince Hetu shrugged "Do you see me as someone so foolish?" He asked, "I'm quite strong but I'm still a weakling compared to your might"
"Against that second year's Number 5, I was watching everything, you were faster than before"
"Stronger than before and your abilities. If you wanted, you could have decimated that bastard"
"And I'm talking with your S-Ranked Innate Skill, he may be quite versatile, having five A-Ranked Skills"
"But skills are nothing but tools, the weapons are their owners. I know you simply held back"
"I knew you had more trump cards but didn't want to reveal it in front of those Number 1 students"
"They are all aiming for your position after all" Prince Hetu explained. Caden's lips curled into a faint smile.
"I guess you got me" He took a deep breath "But it's more than that" His eyebrows furrowed.
Prince Hetu's eyebrows curled up "It's more than that?" He asked with a confounded look written on his face.
Caden nodded "I'll tell you a secret, It's hard for me to hold back" He paused for a second "This is the reason why I mostly only fight demonic variant humans"
"This is the reason why I killed those seventy-two students even though I wanted to release them from their sufferings"
Caden clenched his fist "It's hard to simply hold back my power, this is the reason why I'm scared"
"I'm scared for those who will challenge me for my Number 0 ranking" Caden's exhaled softly.
He raised his head, glaring at the sky "For they may all perish by my wrathful fist"
Prince Hetu gulped, swallowing his saliva.
His heart shook as he listened quietly, thanking his stars that none of his siblings even dares to challenge Caden.
As long as none of the quadruplet is foolish enough to think they could defeat Caden.
If everyone else perishes.
Why should he care?
Prince Hetu smiled "I trust ya" He winked at Caden, "And besides I don't see anyone amongst the first years capable of defeating you"
"Not in a direct combat" Prince Hetu added. Caden glanced at him as he added those words.
"Hmmm" His eyes flickered with uncertainty, "Are you insinuating that there are those who can beat me if it wasn't a direct combat?" He asked.
Prince Hetu shook his head "That's not what I'm saying but in life, there surely are those who are stronger than you"
"Even amongst the students of the Valor Royal Academy" Prince Hetu explained.
Caden nodded "I don't doubt that" His eyes gleamed "But they aren't in the first year"
"No first year is stronger than me" Caden declared.
If it were someone else. Prince Hetu would think this person is delusional but this is Caden Ryder.
He knew the truth damn well.
Truly. There's no first year stronger than Caden Ryder.
Seeing the uprising tension, Prince Hetu decided to change topic "Caden, have you heard?" He asked.
Caden's eyebrows curled up "Have I heard what?" He asked. Prince Hetu wore a warm smile "There was an attack in the outer city" Prince Hetu reported.
Caden's gaze darkened. His movements came to a halt, his actions stunned the curious Prince Hetu.
"What is it?" Prince Hetu worriedly asked.
"The outer city?" Caden asked, "Isn't that where the guardians currently base in?" He asked.
Prince Hetu nodded "Yeah but we received a report that no guardian was hurt, none were even assaulted"
"the attack was sudden, a few dozens soldiers who guarded that area were brutally murdered"
"And alot of citizens inhabiting the outer city vanished without a single trace" Prince Hetu explained.
Caden glanced his teeths "It's starting" He mumbled.
Prince Hetu's eyebrows furrowed "What did you say?" He asked.
Caden quickly recollected himself, "Its nothing but how is it possible that an attack occured and not even the attackers could be identified?" Caden asked.
Prince Hetu shrugged "Well that's the report from the Military faction and the Adminstrative faction"
"They're both working hard to figure out who this attackers are" Prince Hetu stated.
Caden nodded with a sigh "Since they're making a move, I guess there's no need for us to worry"
"Nothing will happen to us" Caden stated, Prince Hetu nodded, they were already reaching the special dormitory.
While Prince Hetu had changed topics, Caden's mind was far too gone.
Drowned in his own sea of thoughts, his mind lingered somewhere else.
'This is just like the season of the first invasion, but isn't it too soon?' Caden bit his lips.
'I thought we had until third year before the Red Continent would launch their very first invasion'
'Why now? Is it because of me?'
'Did my arrangements cause this events to move faster than I could even anticipate?' He growled.
'Its too damn early, it's too damn early…..I haven't even prepared, I haven't even met my friends'
'Why is this happening now?' Caden gritted his teeths. This was when Prince Hetu noticed it.
"Caden, what is the problem?" He asked. Caden slightly tilted his head, he breathed in deeply "Its nothing, I'm just having headache that's all"
"I need to rest my body, it's the after effects of my S-Ranked Innate Skill" Caden lied.
He quickly left the scene, heading straight towards his dorm room without greeting anyone.
He even ignored Rollins who tried to talk to Caden.
**
Caden slammed the door closed and it was locked from inside. He softly exhaled "Come out" His voice thundered.
Emerging from his shadow was a figure, his dark cerulean hair flickered, landing behind him was his summoned servant.
The Ungodly Reaper.
Frey Blade.
"Greetings master" Frey bowed his head before Caden. His lips curled into a faint smile.
Caden nodded, slightly tilting his head "What is going on?" He questioned.
Frey's eyebrows furrowed "What are you talking about? Master" Frey asked, "I've been in your shadow dimension this entire….."
He was quickly interuppted by Caden.
"I'm not a fool Frey" Caden's voice resounded, "I'm your master, I know everything"
"I know the fact that when I was sleeping, you created shadow clones, sharing three S-Ranked Skills amongst them"
"Why did you do that?" Caden asked, "Please tell me, what did you see?"
Frey breathed in deeply "To think you knew of this fact and yet still chose to keep quiet"
He smiled "Worthy of my master" Frey suddenly turned his gaze, he glanced at the window.
"You've asked me a question, and as your summoned servant" He paused for a second, "I'm obligated to tell you the truth"
Frey glanced at his master once again, he took a step forward.
"In just a matter of time, this Academy will be drowned in blood and chaos" His voice reverberated through the air.
Caden gulped, swallowing his saliva "But why?" He asked.
A lopsided grin appeared on Frey's lips "Why?" Frey asked. "It's simple..."
"A calamity shall be unleashed…."
"A Demon will be freed from the shackles of Hell!"
