Chapter 1595  A Little Talk with War God Palace!

After the people of the Sword God Palace departed, the tense atmosphere gradually eased.

The remaining members of the War God Palace exchanged glances before one of their elders stepped forward toward Max. His bearing was calm, but there was clear anticipation in his eyes.

"Can you show us the Saint Token?" he asked respectfully.

Max did not hesitate. With a movement of his hand, he took out the token.

The moment it appeared, the expressions of everyone present changed.

The token carried an ancient and dignified aura, its surface marked with symbols that seemed simple at first glance yet contained a depth that ordinary people could not comprehend. Even after countless years, the power and prestige attached to it had not faded.

The elder's breathing became heavier as he stared at it.

"This…" he said in shock. "This truly is the Saint Token of Saint Reiner."

The other elders were equally shaken. Around them, many disciples of the War God Palace widened their eyes in disbelief. To most of them, Saint Reiner was a legendary figure whose name belonged to stories and records of the past. Yet now, proof of that legend was resting in Max's hand.

The gazes directed at Max became even more serious.

Tamara then stepped forward, her eyes carrying both admiration and curiosity.

"I believe Saint Reiner would certainly wish for you to visit the War God Palace one day," she said. "Why not come with us now? With the Saint Token in your possession, you would be welcomed with the highest respect."

Max listened quietly before shaking his head.

"This is not the right time," he replied. "I do wish to visit the War God Palace one day and pay my respects to Saint Reiner. However, I believe that can only happen after the Cosmic Ascension Conference."

Tamara's eyes narrowed slightly.

"You are participating in the Cosmic Ascension Conference as well?"

There was surprise in her tone, though not disbelief.

She studied him more carefully before continuing. "Your talent is unquestionable, but your cultivation is still somewhat lacking for a gathering of that level. It seems you were born a little too late for this cycle's conference."

Max chuckled lightly, unbothered by her honest assessment.

"I know that already," he said. "I will simply do my best and see how far I can go."

Tamara smiled.

"That confidence is not bad." Then her expression sharpened with competitive spirit. "Very well. I wish you luck in the Cosmic Ascension Conference. But if you encounter me or any disciple of the War God Palace there, do not expect mercy just because you hold the Saint Token."

Max nodded with a faint smile.

"I would not want that either."

Tamara seemed satisfied with that answer.

Then her tone softened slightly as she brought up another matter.

"As for the Black Dragon Clan, you need not worry too much. I doubt the Sword God Palace would dare move openly against your force while knowing we are standing behind you."

She paused briefly before adding, "Even so, we will still dispatch a group of people there as a precaution. If they make any reckless move, they will not find it easy."

Max's expression grew more serious, and he gave her a respectful nod.

"I am truly grateful for that."

Tamara waved it off casually, though the gesture carried confidence rather than arrogance.

Afterward, the elders of the War God Palace spoke with Max for some time longer, asking about several matters related to Orion, Saint Reiner, and his future plans. The atmosphere had become much warmer than before.

Eventually, their business concluded.

The members of the War God Palace gave Max their farewells before leaving one after another, their powerful auras disappearing into the distance.

Soon, Max was left standing alone once more.

But unlike before, he now knew that one of the strongest forces in the region had chosen to stand at least partially on his side.

"You have truly gained the favor of the War God Palace."

Lucia finally spoke after the others had left. She had remained quiet for some time, still trying to process everything she had just witnessed. Even now, it felt unreal to her that the people of the War God Palace, a force feared and respected across countless regions, had spoken to Max with such courtesy and regard.

Max only shook his head and let out a quiet sigh.

"It is nothing more than a temporary alliance," he said calmly. "Right now, their respect is tied to circumstances, not to me. Until I prove my own worth, none of it truly means anything."

His eyes narrowed slightly as he looked toward the horizon.

"Only when I display enough strength and talent will the War God Palace take me seriously. The Cosmic Ascension Conference is my chance to do that."

Lucia nodded slowly, understanding what he meant. In a world ruled by power, borrowed respect could vanish as quickly as it appeared. True standing had to be earned personally.

"I see," she said. Then after a short pause, she asked, "So are we still heading to Dragon Death Valley?"

A grin spread across Max's face, and the sharp confidence in his expression returned immediately.

"Of course," he replied. "How could I forget Dragon Death Valley when that was one of the main reasons I came here in the first place?"

His gaze swept across the area until it landed on a familiar figure standing in the distance.

Rose.

She remained apart from the others, calm and watchful as always.

Max looked toward Lucia. "Rose should be able to guide us there, right?"

Lucia gave a small nod. "Let me speak with her."

With that, she moved ahead toward Rose, leaving Max standing alone for the moment.

As Lucia walked away, Max's expression gradually became thoughtful.

He lowered his gaze and began assessing himself in silence.

"My cultivation has now reached the fifth level of the Law Awakening Realm," he thought. "The Cosmic Ascension Conference will begin soon, and I do not have much time left."

His mind moved quickly through possibilities and dangers.

That gathering would bring together monstrous geniuses from countless forces, many of whom originally stood at the peak of the Law Manifestation Realm. Due to the restrictions of the conference, their cultivation would likely be suppressed to the peak of the Law Refinement Realm.

Even in a suppressed state, such opponents would still possess terrifying combat experience, superior foundations, and methods far beyond ordinary cultivators.

A faint pressure settled in Max's chest, though it was not fear.

It was motivation.

"To truly compete with them," he thought, "I must at least reach the peak of the Law Awakening Realm before the conference begins."

That was the minimum standard he had set for himself.

Anything less would mean entering the battlefield at a disadvantage against the greatest talents of an entire generation.

Max slowly clenched his fist, feeling the strength flowing through his body.

Only a few months remained.

And in those few months, he intended to rise as high as possible.
