Chapter 6

Aly and the kids reached Mister Car Wash after a while. The car looked familiar to the staffs. Once a week, Jackson will bring Aly's car for wash and wax there. They were a little surprised when Aly went of the car followed by the kids. They had furrowed forehead when they saw Harper and Aria going out of the car too. Dave was in the auto shop busy dealing with his clients when he saw Aly. He was enchanted. He dialled the intercom connecting to Brett's office.

"Bro, come down, quickly. A goddess had just arrived." Dave put down the intercom and immediately proceeded to where Aly was standing. Brett creased his forehead to what his friend had said and decided to peek at his window. He smiled but at the same time had questions in his mind. "Why is she here and with Harper and Aria. Did something happened?" He asked himself. He closed the folder he's reading and decided to come down to know the situation.

"Good afternoon, milady. What service do you need? I'm Dave ready to serve you." Dave said with a smile in his face. "Good afternoon. I'm looking for Brett." Aly said smiling. Dave dropped his jaw seeing a smile from a goddess. "Uncle Dave?" Aria called. Dave came back to his senses after hearing Aria's voice.

"Where's daddy?" Aria asked but before Dave could answer, Brett was already near them. "I'm here, sweetheart." Brett said. "Daddy!" Aria said then ran towards Brett, hugged him and gave him a peck on his cheeks. Harper did the same. Brett saw the swollen eyes of Harper. "Is there something wrong, sweetheart?" Brett asked. Harper looked at Andy. Aly smiled. "Brett, can we talk?" Aly asked. Brett nodded with puzzled face.

"Dave, please tell Rob to prepare snacks for the kids. Aly, what do you want?" Brett asked. "A coffee will do." Aly replied. "Stay at gazebo kids, we'll be in the office." Brett said and the kids nodded. "Dave?" Brett said looking at his friend still in dazed. He tapped Dave shoulders and the latter was surprised. Brett sighed and Aly giggled.

"Please sit down." Brett said. "What happened?" Brett continued. "Harper already had her monthly period." Aly said.

"Tell me what happened to you." Tyler said "Why were you crying a while ago?" Tyler continued. "Didn't you hear what Auntie had said, it's a girl thing." Harper said a little irritated. " Why are you angry? I'm just asking." Tyler said. "You're very importunate." Harper said frowning. Tyler kept quiet. He noticed that his bestfriend was a little moody the whole day.

Aria and Caden were busy eating the snacks prepared by Rob but at the same time they were listening to their siblings' conversation.

"What happened to Big Sister Harper?" Caden asked. "Secret." Aria said. "Why can't you tell me. I'm your bestfriend." Caden said pouting his lips. "Big sister had..." Aria didn't finished her sentence because Harper looked at her with an angry squint. Both of them looked down and continue eating.

"I've alreay told her what to do if she has her monthly visit. I've taught her how to use the sanitary pad. She's crying a while ago. Maybe she was afraid but I told her it's normal." Aly said continuously. "Thank you. I'm glad that you're the one they've called." Brett said. "No worries." Aly said smiling. "That smile again." Brett said to himself.

"Mom, what happened to Harper?" Tyler asked while on their way going home. "She already had her monthly period." Aly said. Tyler and Caden didn't asked follow up questions. They already studied about menstrual cycle so they have the idea of what it was. "Why did they cried, Mom?" Caden asked. "Maybe she was afraid." Aly replied to her son. "Aria also have it?" Caden continued. "Not yet." Aly replied. "Then, why did she cried?" Caden asked again. "She loved her sister dearly. Like you, you love Big brother Tyler so much." Aly said winking at Caden. "I don't love him, Mommy. He's always teasing me." Caden said pouting his lips. "But I love you." Tyler said preparing to kiss his little brother. "No, don't come near me." Caden said while blocking his brother's body. "Mommy! Help me!" Caden said. Aly laughed hardly.

"Are you alright?" Brett asked Harper. They were already home. "Yes, Dad. Only my lower abdomen is in pain." Harper said. "Do you need something?" Brett said worriedly. Harper smiled seeing his father's concern. "Don't worry, Dad. Auntie Aly already told me what to do." Harper said. "Daddy, will my undies get blood too?" Aria asked curiously. Brett was stratled. Harper felt his father's uneasiness. "Yes, Aria. But not now. Maybe when you're in sixth grade." Harper said. "I will call Auntie Aly too when I have blood in my undies." Aria said. Brett sighed.

Eventhough, he made himself ready for some situations regarding his daughters, still, it's really hard to face the fact when it's already infront of you. Gladly, Aly was there to help him. He was in the porch, sipping his coffee, thinking deeply. It's been five years. Five years of solitary life.
