Defeating the World with the Power of One Dragon!

Chapter 55: Vira, Dragon Classification

Chapter 55: Vira, Dragon Classification

Vira was a faerie dragon, born in the Serene Spirit Wilderness.

This was a realm filled with various kinds of magic and wonders, mysterious and beautiful, not belonging to planet Bernardo.

While living in the Serene Spirit Wilderness, the faerie dragon Vira and some other spirit creatures, such as the Pique spirits and forest faeries, lived atop a singing eucalyptus tree, spending their days stealing unicorn manes for fun. The gentle unicorns never made things difficult for them; they were tolerant and kind, like elderly elders and also their guardians.

Until one day.

After living in the Serene Spirit Wilderness for over twenty years, having seen the same scenery repeatedly, Vira suddenly had a whimsical thought: to see the outside world.

Once this idea took root in its mind, it grew daily.

So, while the unicorns were napping, Vira secretly slipped away from its habitat to roam freely across the vast and beautiful Serene Spirit Wilderness, enjoying the feeling of complete freedom.

The sea of flowers was a riot of purples and reds, rivers surged endlessly, and the gentle breeze was mixed with the sparkling light of the fairyland.

Vira was intoxicated by the beautiful scenes of the fairy wilderness, unknowingly forgetting the unicorns' previous warnings. Driven by curiosity, it ventured into the dark and decaying deep forest, where it encountered the fallen and terrifying wrathful faeries.

Fortunately.During its escape, it entered an unstable spatial portal and was swept into the Ser Wilderness. After a period of adaptation, it settled there, becoming neighbors with a group of ill-tempered Rampage Bears, living by a stream outside Needleleaf Valley.

It secretly observed the Rampage Bears.

Finding these big, clumsy creatures slow to react and not very alert, Vira would, in its idle moments, steal bear hair to weave toys or use invisibility spells to blow air into the bears' nostrils, satisfying its playful nature.

After awakening from a period of slumber,

Vira felt its nest had become cramped, so it wanted to pull some bear hair from Rampage Bear Ridge to expand its little nest, while also planning to tease the stupid bears again.

As night deepened,

Vira made its move. It used invisibility to become invisible to the naked eye, lowering its presence, sneaking quietly through the dense canopy, and finally reaching Needleleaf Valley.

But unlike usual,

before finding the clumsy bears, Vira heard a dull, pounding sound coming from the edge of the valley. Driven by its curious nature, it couldn't help but approach to investigate.

Upon arriving, Vira was shocked.

It saw a gigantic dragon with steel-like scales, a body strong beyond compare, repeatedly smashing a hard tree trunk with its sensitive part, seemingly feeling no pain.

So terrifying.

So horrifying.

More terrifying than the wrathful faeries.

Vira dared not breathe or blink, afraid of attracting the attention of this dreadful giant dragon.

It wanted to quietly leave but couldn't resist curiosity about Garoth, so it cautiously observed in secret.

This dragon was probably in heat and without a mate, so it was taking out its frustration on the poor innocent pine tree. Judging by its appearance, although somewhat unusual, it faintly showed traits of a red dragon and an iron dragon—probably a hybrid of the red dragon and iron dragon.

A hybrid of the leader of the Five-colored Dragons and the leader of the Iron Hybrid Dragons must be an inherently evil dragon.

It is said that evil dragons have strong desires, and indeed, although this dragon seemed young, it even spared no trees.

If I get discovered, with my small body, just one strike from its deadly weapon... Vira shuddered involuntarily, heart filled with terror.

Just then,

Garoth delivered one final ferocious strike, splitting a tree trunk thick enough for several people to hug into two halves.

This dreadful scene terrified Vira to the extreme. Its body flickered, exiting invisibility, forgetting to suppress its presence.

Then it saw.

The red-iron evil dragon suddenly turned its head, its fierce gaze locking onto Vira, staring straight at it.

Their eyes met.

Vira froze completely.

“Faerie Dragon.”

At the first sight of the faerie dragon, Garoth was slightly startled, somewhat surprised.

Dragons come in many different types, classified by certain traits.

Five-colored Dragons.

—Red Dragon, Blue Dragon, Green Dragon, Black Dragon, White Dragon.

Metallic Dragons.

—Gold Dragon, Silver Dragon, Brass Dragon, Bronze Dragon, Brass Dragon.

Gemstone Dragons.

—Amethyst Dragon, Sapphire Dragon, Emerald Dragon, Topaz Dragon, Crystal Dragon.

These three major categories are the most numerous and relatively common dragon types, also called the main dragon categories.

Iron Dragon, Cobalt Dragon, Chromium Dragon, Nickel Dragon, Tungsten Dragon—though Iron Hybrids are a major category, their numbers are far fewer than the three main categories.

There are many other dragon types.

Like Sun Dragon, Moon Dragon, Star Dragon—Cosmic Dragons.

Faerie Dragon, Abyssal Dragon, Astral Dragon, Hell Dragon—Dimensional Dragons.

Earth Dragon, Flood Dragon, Forest Dragon, Celestial Dragon, Imperial Dragon—Emperor Dragons.

Time Dragon, Power Dragon, Iridescent Dragon—Legendary Dragons.

Plutonium Dragon, Blue Diamond Dragon, Prismatic Dragon, Star Dragon, Thirty-eight Winged Dragon—Hateful Dragons.

Cosmic Dragons, Iron Hybrids, Dimensional Dragons, Legendary Dragons, Emperor Dragons, Hateful Dragons... These are all sub-categories of dragons. The main difference from the main categories is their rarity—so rare that some are almost rumors. Their strength varies, from weaker than White Dragons to stronger than Gold Dragons.

It’s worth mentioning that besides sub-categories, there are also subclass dragons.

For example, Sea Emperor Dragon, Multi-headed Dragon, Rock Dragon, Mithril Dragon, Spined Ancient Dragon, Fang Giant Dragon... These are true dragons but cannot be unified by the same characteristics, so they are called subclass dragons.

Like sub-category dragons, subclass dragons have both strong and weak members compared to the main categories.

Back to the point.

Faerie Dragons, such sub-category dimensional dragons, are rare to see on planet Bernardo. Perhaps this was the only one on the entire planet.

Garoth was somewhat surprised to see a faerie dragon.

But beyond surprise, because his privacy was exposed, his eyes were filled with a dangerous gleam.

“Faerie Dragon, you...”

Garoth spoke in a deep voice, ready to question what the faerie dragon had seen.

But before he could finish, the faerie dragon quickly shook its head, almost creating afterimages: “I didn’t see anything, Vira saw nothing.”

Garoth fell silent.

Two seconds later, he looked at Vira the faerie dragon, a gentle expression squeezing onto his dragon face.

“Vira? I’ve remembered your name.”

“This is the first time I’ve met a faerie dragon. Your petite and exquisite body amazes and intrigues me. Let’s be friends. Don’t be nervous or afraid. I am not an evil dragon.”

Garoth said cheerfully as he approached the faerie dragon.

“Oh no, oh no, oh no! Ah, next time I definitely won’t be curious!”

Across from him, the faerie dragon screamed, its butterfly-like wings suddenly spreading wide.

Boom! A burst of sparkling magical dust exploded from its body, the blinding white light instantly filling Garoth’s vision, turning everything before his eyes into a white blur, losing sight of the faerie dragon.

Garoth decisively dropped his disguise.

With a powerful flap of his huge wings, a fierce windstorm suddenly rose.
