Daddy, You Got The Wrong Mommy

Chapter 213: No Need to Be a Couple Anymore

Chapter 213: No Need to Be a Couple Anymore

Blue Sky Apartments.

Elara Don finished tidying up for the two little ones and went to take a shower by herself.

Thinking about the man sitting outside, she took a deep breath, still ignoring him.

It seems he’ll be spending the night here again.

What about the future?

How should they interact in the future?

Turning on the shower, Elara stood underneath, letting the hot water wash over her body, her thoughts swirling.

The truth had finally come to light.

This was good.

At least she no longer needed to think about how to hide it every day.

Her only wish now was that the Hawke Family wouldn’t take her two children away.

She wanted to be with her two children.

As for everything else, she didn’t care.

Thinking about what Damon Hawke had just said to her, that he wouldn’t take the two children away, Elara closed her eyes, something flickering in her heart.

If he wasn’t lying to her, if he were just an ordinary man, how wonderful that would be!

Outside.

Damon Hawke was on the phone with Craig Landers.

"Damon, where are you?"

"Why, what’s up?"

Damon asked in a calm tone, as he looked at his computer.

"Nothing much, just wondering if you’ve heard any rumors?"

Craig probed.

Damon’s hand paused slightly, "What rumors? Did you see the news too?"

"Yeah, it seems you know?"

On the other end, Craig glanced at the woman in the hospital room, his anxious heart finally settling.

See, it wasn’t him who revealed it.

Damon found out himself.

So, he no longer needed to worry when discussing things with Damon.

"Yes, I’m with Elly right now."

Damon glanced at the bathroom door, a slight smile on his lips, "I’m really shocked. I didn’t expect not only to have two sons, but that their biological mother would be Elly."

"Right? I was also shocked when I found out. Now you can openly bring her home as your wife, aren’t you happy?"

Craig sincerely felt happy for his friend.

Damon’s smile paused slightly.

Seeing the bathroom door open and Elara coming out with her wet hair, he said, "Alright, I have to go, let’s talk next time."

He needed to have a good talk with a woman who didn’t want to marry him.

Hoping his wish would come true.

On the other end of the line, Craig listened to the dial tone, raising an eyebrow.

The movement caused a slight discomfort on his face.

He touched his swollen lip, sighed, and walked in.

On the hospital bed, Leia Quinn was consulting online on her phone.

Hearing the noise, she raised her eyes slightly.

Seeing Craig’s split lip, she frowned.

"What happened to your face? Did you get into a fight?"

After treatment, her throat had improved a lot, allowing her to speak.

Craig’s eyes flickered, "Yeah, I had a little altercation with a drunkard while parking."

He didn’t want to tell her the real reason for his injury.

Afraid she’d overthink it.

"How careless! Next time you see a drunk, stay away and don’t get impulsive. I’ll ask the nurse to bring some antiseptic."

Leia pressed the call button with her hand.

Seeing this, Craig walked to the bedside, sat down, and leaned closer to her, "Girlfriend, are you worried about me?"

Leia gave him a glare, just about to speak when she detected the faint scent of a woman’s perfume.

Instantly, her face was full of inquiry.

"Craig, the drunkard you just ran into was a woman?"

The perfume scent was familiar.

She remembered smelling it on Selena Taylor!

So, he had just met with Selena?

The injury on his face wasn’t caused by a scuffle with a drunkard at all.

Maybe he saw Selena being bullied and got angry in her defense, injuring himself in the process?

At this moment, a nurse came in.

Leia asked the nurse for some disinfectant, then thanked her.

"How could the drunkard be a woman? Cindy, why do you ask?"

Craig asked casually.

"Because you have a perfume scent on you."

Leia stared directly at Craig, not missing a single expression on his face.

Craig’s smile froze, and a trace of awkwardness flashed in his eyes.

He sniffed himself, "Probably because, during the altercation with the drunkard, I bumped into a woman, so the perfume got on me."

The perfume scent must have come from when Selena hugged him.

A miscalculation!

He should have changed clothes before coming!

Craig felt somewhat annoyed, looking into Leia’s eyes that seemed to see right through him, he quickly changed the subject.

"Oh right, Cindy, did you know about this? Damon found out the truth. He’s at Elly’s place now and knows about the twins she had for him."

At these words, Leia suddenly froze, "What? How did Damon find out the truth? Did you tell him?"

"Cindy, do you really see me as someone so untrustworthy? A reporter discovered the truth, alright?"

Craig only found out about this big news today from the gossiping nurses.

It involved his buddy.

That’s why he confirmed it with Damon.

Leia stared at Craig, then curled her lips into a smile, "Since Damon knows the truth, then we don’t need to be boyfriend and girlfriend anymore."

"What? Cindy, you can’t go back on your word!"

Craig frowned, protesting.

At this moment, the nurse came in with antiseptic.

Leia took it, thanked her, and handed the antiseptic to Craig.

"Apply it yourself."

"Cindy, you’re my girlfriend, you should apply it for me."

Craig sat at the edge of the bed, refusing to take the antiseptic.

Leia laughed mockingly, "Mr. Landers, I agreed to be your girlfriend on the condition that you’d keep my secret, but Damon found out the truth so quickly, you kept it stuck in vain!"

Craig chuckled, "But in any case, I didn’t sell you out, Cindy, you can’t be so unfaithful."

"Didn’t sell me out? Who knows?"

Leia replied softly, "After all, Mr. Landers, you’ve always been a master at lying."

He deceived her?

Craig frowned, "Cindy, when did I ever lie to you? Damon knowing the truth really isn’t my doing."

"Mr. Landers, you just met Selena, didn’t you? The perfume scent on you is from her, right?"

Leia stopped beating around the bush, speaking calmly.

Craig’s smile faltered slightly, looking at Leia’s now indifferent face, he sighed.

He reached out to hold her hand, "I’ve realized that dating a psychologist means I can’t lie at all. Okay, I’ll tell the truth, I went back to the old house, so I ran into Selena. She told me she still loved me and hugged me. My brother saw it and got angry, so he punched me."

He still hid some details.

Not wanting Leia to know that Selena had kissed him forcefully.
