Daddy, You Got The Wrong Mommy

Chapter 198: Who Is the Little Boy in the Photo

Chapter 198: Who Is the Little Boy in the Photo

Leia Quinn felt completely uncomfortable and reached out to push him away.

Wayne Landers sat still as a statue, "Cindy, I saved you, didn’t ask you to repay me with your body."

Leia Quinn: "..."

So, should she let him take advantage of her a little?

What kind of twisted logic is this?

Leia Quinn almost laughed in anger.

Before she could get angry, Wayne cleared his throat and looked at his phone, "Let me see, what do you want to ask me? Where is Hay Zephr now?"

Upon getting to the point, Leia Quinn paused her movements and instead used her eyes to question him.

Wayne Landers’s expression turned more serious.

"He was taken away by the police and is likely undergoing a mental evaluation now."

The man was shouting about wanting to kill Leia Quinn when he left, eyeing her crazily, clearly behaving like someone with mental issues.

Wayne looked at Leia, "Cindy, who is his brother? What exactly is going on here?"

Upon hearing, Leia Quinn grabbed her phone and typed out a line, "His brother is Cameron Hayes, and once..."

Leia Quinn briefly summarized the situation.

Wayne watched her slender fingers typing and his mind seemed to drift.

The woman had a faint aroma about her, not an expensive perfume but a naturally emitted body scent.

They had never been this close before, close enough that he could touch her face just by lowering his head slightly...

Leia finished typing and instinctively looked back at Wayne.

Her red lips inadvertently brushed against his thin ones, like a small jade bead dropping into a lake with a ding, causing ripples.

Both were stunned there, surprise flickering in their eyes, along with a vague, indescribable feeling.

Wayne’s hand around Leia’s waist suddenly tightened, looking at the woman so close, he leaned in slowly.

Gurgle.

Suddenly, the sound of a stomach growling was heard at an inappropriate moment.

Wayne paused his movement and instinctively glanced at Leia’s belly.

Leia was hugely embarrassed, pushing Wayne with force, and shouted hoarsely, "Wayne Landers, get up!"

Seeing her blush, Wayne coughed lightly, and stood up.

"Hungry? Hang tight a bit longer; I’ve already sent an assistant to get food."

The atmosphere just now was perfect, he was so close to sealing it with a kiss.

However, her attitude toward him was finally not rejected anymore.

Thinking this, a smile flickered in Wayne’s eyes.

He picked up Leia’s phone and glanced at the words she had typed, the smile on his face slightly fading.

"You’re saying, Hay Zephr’s appearance was a bit too coincidental? Someone told him you were here? Hay Zephr seems mentally unstable, the person who informed him might have ulterior motives?"

Upon hearing this, the blush on Leia’s face faded slightly, and she nodded.

She had just returned to the country, hadn’t been consulting for long, and wasn’t a particularly famous doctor, so she shouldn’t have attracted much attention.

The person who told Hay Zephr she worked at the hospital should know him and know about Hay’s brother.

This person needs to be thoroughly investigated.

Whether it was a coincidence or deliberate, she dared not make any assumptions.

"Don’t worry, I’ll have someone investigate thoroughly."

Concerned for Leia’s safety, he would not relax his vigilance.

Wayne prepared to hand the phone back to Leia, but when he remembered something, a hint of interest flashed in his long eyes.

He bent down slightly and placed his hands on either side, moving closer to Leia.

"Cindy, sweetheart, is there something else you’re hiding from me?"

He smiled wickedly, his handsome features magnified before her eyes, causing her heart to race.

Leia’s heart thudded again.

She shrank back, opened her mouth, "What am I hiding from you? Can you back away a bit?"

Her voice was hoarse, but Wayne, being close, could still hear her.

He raised an eyebrow, placing the phone in front of her, "Cindy, sweetheart, who is the little boy in this photo? Is it Charlie? Have you known Charlie for a long time? How come Damon Hawke never mentioned it?"

Leia’s gaze fell on her phone screen, and her expression immediately changed.

Doomed!

Her lock screen was a photo of her and Bea.

She never thought Wayne would see it!

What to do now?

Leia lowered her eyes, her irises moving as she urgently pondered a strategy.

After a while, she covered her neck and coughed lightly, pretending to be uncomfortable.

Let her take a moment, she needed to think about how to answer this question.

"Cindy, sweetheart, throat uncomfortable? No worries, just type, and I’ll listen to your explanation."

Wayne saw through her procrastination tactic, chuckling lightly, pretending not to know.

Leia cursed him inwardly, and glared at him.

Wayne raised his brows and moved closer, "Cindy, sweetheart, why are you glaring at me? Don’t want to say? I’ll say it for you. This child is Elara Don’s son, Bea, isn’t it?"

He figured it out!

Leia pursed her lips tight, staying silent.

Wayne chuckled lightly, "Your silence means consent, Cindy, sweetheart. I just want to know, why does Bea look exactly like Charlie?"

Now both kids are living at Elara Don’s place, surely these two women are hiding something from Damon Hawke.

And this matter would certainly shock everyone.

Leia glared at Wayne, refusing to speak.

Wayne’s long fingers rubbed Leia’s small chin, "I get it; you won’t betray your best friend. It’s fine; I won’t pressure you. I’ll call Damon and ask him if he knows what Bea looks like?"

Hasn’t his old friend been running to Elara’s place these days?

Yet he hasn’t noticed Bea’s peculiarity?

Is this even the same intelligent Damon Hawke he knew?

So strange.

Wayne straightened up and took out his phone, pretending to call Damon.

Leia was startled and quickly grabbed his hand.

Wayne looked at her and winked, "Cindy, don’t want me to call Damon, do you?"

Doesn’t this go without saying?

Leia rolled her eyes silently.

"Cindy, sweetheart, for your sake, I won’t make this call to Damon, but you have to tell me what’s going on here?"

Wayne seized the opportunity to hold Leia’s hand, not forgetting to feel the smooth texture of her skin.

Leia frowned, not caring about the creepy hand on her own, and pondered for a moment before grabbing her phone nearby.

"Bea and Charlie are twins. Four years ago, Elly’s man was Damon Hawke. It was Victoria Don who took away Charlie and pretended to be Charlie’s biological mother."

Leia typed out a line and handed the phone to Wayne.

After reading it, although he’d suspected it, he was still shocked.

Victoria Don is really bold to do something like this!

No wonder Charlie is so fond of Elly, this is indeed the bond of blood!

Seeing Wayne’s shocked expression, Leia grabbed the phone again and typed another line.

"Don’t tell Damon Hawke. He tricked Elly using a fake identity as Thomas King, and Elly is still upset."
