Chapter 160: Dad’s First Rival in Love Is Godmother
Chapter 160: Dad’s First Rival in Love Is Godmother
Hearing Dominic Hawke’s words, Bea pouted, shaking her head in disapproval.
"Brother, Dad doesn’t love Mommy at all. I heard Grandpa and Grandma say with my own ears, he treats Mommy as someone else’s substitute. Mommy is the best mommy in the world, she’s one of a kind, if Dad doesn’t cherish her, I can’t help him."
Even though he was happy Uncle Hawke was his dad, he was more inclined towards Mommy.
If Dad didn’t truly like Mommy, he wouldn’t side with Dad.
"How could that be? Who did Dad treat Mommy as a substitute for?"
Dominic Hawke furrowed his small brows, asking anxiously.
Bea tilted his head, trying hard to recall what the Hawke family’s elders had said in the revolving restaurant.
"Grandma said she was that girl from the Miles family, named Samantha. Yes, that’s the name, Evelyn Miles."
Evelyn Miles?
Isn’t she the aunt who came to Dad’s office today?
Dominic Hawke suddenly realized.
"Bea, Grandpa and Grandma must have misunderstood Dad. I saw that aunt today, and I specifically asked Dad if he was going to marry her. Dad answered me very seriously; they are just ordinary friends. Bea, we shouldn’t listen to rumors, we need to believe in Dad."
These words made Bea think, and for a moment he didn’t retort.
Dominic Hawke’s dark eyes sparkled enticingly, "Bea, don’t you really want our family to live together? Don’t you like Grandpa and Grandma? There are so many bugs in Grandpa’s lab, if our family is together, you can study bugs every day."
He needed to persuade his brother.
Hmm, bugs were his brother’s favorite.
Use this to tempt him!
Surely, this would make him join the same side!
Sure enough, Bea’s eyes lit up at these words.
His big eyes shifted, and he nodded, "Okay, even though I’m still skeptical of Dad, I’m willing to give him a chance."
Of course, he wanted the family to be together.
So it turns out they are his biological grandparents!
No wonder he shared the same interests with Grandpa!
"Great, Bea, I’ll have Dad come over right away."
Dominic Hawke was satisfied, happily saying.
"What? No way, no way, if Dad comes over now, he’ll find out the truth, and that’ll make Mommy unhappy!"
Bea was startled and quickly responded.
"We won’t let Dad know the truth; we just have to wear masks."
Dominic Hawke suggested.
Bea’s eyeballs rolled and finally, he nodded, "Alright then."
He was looking forward to seeing Dad being tricked and running around by them.
Serves him right for fooling Mommy before!
Dominic Hawke took out his phone to text Damon Hawke.
"Dad, can you bring over the teddy bear by my bed, and the books and picture books on my desk?"
On the other end, Damon Hawke had just changed into a fresh set of clothes upon arriving home.
When he received his son’s message, he raised an eyebrow.
His son was really impressive.
This was giving him an opportunity to visit Elara Don’s house!
"Okay."
Over the phone, Dominic Hawke received Damon’s message and grinned.
"Alright, Dad agreed."
Only by letting Dad and Mommy spend more time alone could they develop feelings for each other!
"Charlie, Bea, come out for dinner!"
Elara Don’s voice called from outside.
Dominic Hawke hurriedly put his phone back in his pocket, exchanged a glance with Bea, and both left the children’s room with smiles.
When they arrived at the dining room, the table was set with homemade dishes.
The little ones swallowed their saliva, looking a bit tempted.
"Come on, wash your hands, and then you can eat."
Elara Don caught their little expressions and smiled fondly.
She loved these two sons dearly.
As long as her two sons were by her side, she was happy just looking at them.
"All done!"
Leia Quinn placed the last bowl of soup on the dining table, satisfied with the spread of dishes.
"Kiki, thank you for all your hard work."
Elara Don led the two freshly washed little ones to the dining table, placing them on their chairs.
"Why so formal, wifey?"
Leia Quinn winked at Elara Don, making her chuckle.
The brothers exchanged a glance and blinked helplessly.
So, Dad’s first rival in love is godmother?
"Charlie, Bea, so you two little troublemakers switched places that many times! Charlie, does your taste differ from Bea’s?"
Leia Quinn sat at the dining table, arranging the bowls and chopsticks.
Dominic Hawke looked at the table full of dishes and answered honestly, "I don’t really eat spicy food or animal liver, but everything else is fine."
Especially pig brains!
Recalling the dinner they had at the revolving restaurant, Dominic Hawke couldn’t help shivering slightly.
He wouldn’t want a second helping of that taste, not if it killed him.
"I see! Then pig’s brain..."
"Godmother, don’t say it!"
Dominic Hawke quickly interrupted Leia Quinn, his little face pale.
"Alright, Kiki, stop teasing him."
Elara Don served Dominic Hawke a bowl of soup, smiling gently, "Sorry, Charlie, Mommy was too oblivious to recognize you right away. Please don’t blame Mommy."
The little guy clearly had so many unusual characteristics, but her carelessness kept leading her to make excuses for each one.
She was truly an incompetent mother.
"Mommy, it’s my fault. I shouldn’t have tricked you."
Dominic Hawke quickly replied.
If he had just clarified to Mommy earlier that he wasn’t Bea, they would have recognized each other a long time ago.
"No, you’re not at fault, love. Now, eat your meal."
Elara Don gently rubbed the little guy’s head, her eyes full of affection.
Opposite, Bea’s little mouth pouted.
"Hmph, sure enough, now that brother’s back, I’m no longer Mommy’s favorite! Bea is unhappy!"
Hearing this, Elara Don couldn’t help but laugh and quickly served him food.
"Who said that? Bea is always Mommy’s favorite."
"Liar! I see only brother in Mommy’s eyes."
"Hey, Bea, didn’t we agree to love brother together? A child without a mother is like a grass, isn’t brother a bit pitiful? In my heart, you’re not a younger brother; you’re like a brother to me."
"Hmm, okay! Then from now on, I’ll watch over brother."
"..."
Seeing the little guy appeased, Elara Don and Leia Quinn exchanged a glance, both unable to hold back their laughter.
The house would surely be much livelier with another member.
The group ate and occasionally chatted, the table a scene of joyous harmony.
Soon, the doorbell rang.
Dominic Hawke’s eyes lit up, sneaking a glance at Bea.
Bea was also looking at him, his big eyes twinkling, guessing who had arrived.
Could it be that Dad has come?
"At this time, who could it be?"
Elara Don put down her chopsticks, suspiciously heading to open the door.
When she saw through the peephole that it was Damon Hawke standing outside with bags in both hands, her expression immediately tensed up.
"Kiki, it’s Damon Hawke, what should we do!"
