Daddy, You Got The Wrong Mommy

Chapter 157: Hostile Toward Her

Chapter 157: Hostile Toward Her

Leia Quinn adjusted her clothes, and composed herself, her expression returning to its usual coolness.

"Mr. Landers, your therapy session is over, I’m clocking out now, please leave."

There’s a big event today.

She agreed with Elara Don to pick up Bea from school.

The four of them are going to have a proper celebration today.

Craig Landers stared intently at her, about to speak, when Leia Quinn’s phone rang.

Leia Quinn took out her phone and glanced at it, saw that it was Elara Don calling, and her expression softened.

"Elly."

"Kiki, I’m almost ready to leave, can you head over now?"

"Yeah, I’ll be right over to pick you up."

Leia Quinn hung up the phone, looking at Craig Landers, "Mr. Landers, please leave."

Craig Landers raised an eyebrow, "You’re going to pick up Elara Don from work? I’ll join you."

"No, Mr. Landers, please keep your distance from us."

Leia Quinn took off her white coat, put on her jacket, and then walked straight out of the therapy room.

Craig Landers touched his chin and strode after her.

The more challenging something is, the more interested he becomes.

He was determined to succeed in pursuing this aloof psychologist.

Craig Landers followed Leia Quinn into the same elevator, one behind the other, to the hospital entrance.

Leia Quinn looked at the man trailing closely behind, speechless.

"Mr. Landers, are you sticky like chewing gum? Why are you following me?"

"Cindy sweetheart, I just need to get my car too, it’s not exactly following you, is it?"

Craig Landers smiled roguishly, leaning closer, "Of course, you can think of it that way too. Cindy sweetheart, are you actually interested in me? Otherwise, how would you know I was following you?"

Leia Quinn rolled her eyes dramatically, unwilling to pay him any mind, and hurriedly prepared to cross the street.

A car was coming from the opposite direction; Craig Landers pulled her into his arms, "Watch out."

Leia Quinn was startled, feeling the whoosh of the passing car, slowly raising her head.

Craig Landers’ expression was a bit stern as he looked down at her, "Why so reckless? Did the car hit you?"

His tone seemed reproachful but carried a trace of concern.

Leia Quinn’s heart skipped unexpectedly, as if something strange had touched it.

She opened her mouth, just about to speak, when a woman’s voice came from behind.

"Wayne?"

Leia Quinn felt Craig Landers’ body stiffening slightly as he quickly released her and turned to look at the newcomer.

"Selena."

Leia Quinn turned to see Selena Taylor walking over to them.

The woman was donning a high-end dress, with exquisite makeup on her face.

Her eyes were beautiful, but the look she gave Leia Quinn was anything but friendly.

Craig Landers’ sister-in-law held hostility toward her!

Why?

Leia Quinn adjusted the strap of her bag on her shoulder, standing silently.

"Wayne, aren’t you going to introduce me? Who is this?"

Selena Taylor stopped in front of the two and asked with a smile.

Craig Landers’ eyes flickered, suddenly putting his arm around Leia Quinn’s shoulder, "Let me introduce you. This is Leia Quinn, my girlfriend. Cindy, this is my sister-in-law, Selena Taylor."

His girlfriend!

Selena Taylor’s expression shifted, and her smile almost faltered.

She looked at Leia Quinn, feeling she seemed familiar.

"You..."

Where had she seen this woman before?

Leia Quinn frowned, reaching out to remove Craig Landers’ hand.

"Mr. Landers, please mind your manners. I’m just a regular psychology consultant, and not close to you. I have things to do, so I’ll be leaving now."

Is someone trying to use her as a pawn?

She had no interest in being anyone’s substitute.

Leia Quinn felt inexplicably uneasy and turned to leave quickly.

"Cindy."

Craig Landers called out heartily, wanting to catch up.

"Ow, it hurts."

Selena Taylor clutched her abdomen, appearing in pain.

Craig Landers paused his steps and looked back at Selena Taylor, quickly supporting her.

"What’s wrong?"

"It’s nothing, you go after Miss Linton."

Selena Taylor shook her head, looking fragile.

Her words suggested he chase after Leia, but her body leaned limply against him.

"Hurting this much and still saying it’s nothing."

Craig Landers picked up Selena Taylor and strode into the hospital, looking worried, "What’s wrong exactly?"

"It’s alright, Wayne, let me down."

Selena Taylor spoke coyly, looking embarrassed, "It’s just the usual problem, women’s menstrual pain."

Craig Landers fell silent.

Remembering the past.

Back then, Selena Taylor was his girlfriend, each time she had menstrual pain, he would take care of everything for her.

Buying her ginger tea, giving her a hot water bottle, pampering her like a princess.

He had thought she would be the princess he treasured forever.

But unexpectedly, she became his sister-in-law.

A moment of dull pain in his heart.

Craig Landers set her down and switched from carrying to supporting.

"Did you indulge again, eating something cold?"

"Wayne, don’t expose me like that."

Selena Taylor spoke coquettishly.

Through the glass doors, she gazed at Leia Quinn, who had just gotten into her car a short distance away, a glint crossing her eyes.

She recalled where she had seen Leia Quinn.

Wasn’t it the woman she saw the other day at the revolving restaurant?

The one who later called Craig Landers.

Does she want to become Craig Landers’ girlfriend?

No way!

...

Hawke Group.

Damon Hawke watched his son, wearing a mask, excitedly holding Elara Don’s hand, preparing to head home with her, feeling a bit envious.

Could he go home with them?

"I’ll drive you back."

Damon Hawke glanced at the time and spoke.

He had an engagement later, but it wouldn’t interfere with driving them home.

"No need, Mr. Hawke, my girlfriend is already waiting outside."

Elara Don instinctively tucked Dominic Hawke behind her, speaking calmly.

Somewhat indifferent.

Damon Hawke squinted his eyes slightly as he watched Elara Don walk away without looking back.

"Goodbye, Dad."

Dominic Hawke turned back, saying goodbye to Damon Hawke, and winked at him.

As if to say, don’t worry, he’s got it covered.

Damon Hawke’s lips curled, masking a trace of displeasure in his heart.

Why does the little woman treat him and his son so differently?

Outside, Leia Quinn’s car was already parked by the roadside.

Watching Dominic Hawke, the masked little boy, get into the back seat of the car, her eyes sparkled.

Look at those eyes, they’re identical to Bea’s.

So is his face really exactly like Bea’s too?

"Godmother."

Dominic Hawke removed his mask, grinning at Leia Quinn.

Leia Quinn blurted out, "Bea!"

"Ha! Kiki, this is Charlie."

Elara Don burst out laughing.

Oh right!

She actually called out Bea’s name.

But these two little guys really are so alike.

Can’t blame her.

Leia Quinn realized her mistake, shifted, and cleared her throat as she looked closely at Dominic Hawke.

"You’re Charlie? Honestly, have you and Bea ever switched identities?"

She suddenly recalled when she had just returned, how different the little guy was.

Now, thinking back, the two had definitely switched identities back then.

"Godmother is amazing."

Dominic Hawke candidly said, "Bea and I did switch identities at that time, and I was always worried that Godmother would recognize us."

"Haha, I really do have keen eyes."

Leia Quinn boasted.

Elara Don laughed, "Alright Kiki, hurry up and drive, let’s go pick up Bea."

"Sure thing!"

Leia Quinn started the car, "I’m so happy today, Elly, we absolutely must celebrate well."

"Definitely, I’m going to make a big feast for the kids."

"Wow, I’m in for a treat."
