Chapter 750 – Late to the party
Chapter 750 – Late to the party
The Ancestral 'Holy' Deer was rushing towards the Spirit Stone Mine, so that he could cut off the Earthen Elephant's last hope.
"Kukuku, to think that bastard would have his Cultivation Base reduced so much~" The Ancestral 'Holy' Deer laughed like a maniac. His son might've run away from now, but he would return and now that he would have a Spirit Stone Mine, nobody would be able to go against him!
"You are here too, huh?" The Ancestral Earthen Elephant snorted at him disdainfully.
"You can no longer play with me like before, so fuck off." The Ancestral 'Holy' Deer sneered at him. This pathetic fuck was now so weak that even a sneeze could kill him.
However, the Ancestral 'Holy' Deer was still enraged. As much as this little shit was weak, he was also free to roam anywhere he wanted without the restriction of the Contract.
"Let's see if you can say that once I get this Spirit Stone Mine." The Ancestral Earthen Elephant intended to consume the whole Spirit Stone Mine to quickly boost his cultivation. Even if that meant to incur losses for him, it would be worth it since he would be able to suppress the other Ancestral Beasts!
"Not before me." The Ancestral 'Holy' Deer sneered at him again. It was ridiculous that this bastard believed that he would be able to deal with his Holy Deer Clan.
Sure, he had the whole Clan behind him, but the most important rank was no longer there, meaning that their overall might drop significantly.
Even if those Earthen Elephants piled up like ants, they wouldn't be able to overcome the difference in stages.
The Ancestral 'Holy' Deer rushed towards the Spirit Stone Mine. The one who got there first would be able to occupy it easier, while the one who didn't would have a hard time attacking.
That was because the one who occupied it could burn the Spirit Stones for Defensive Array that would ensure nobody would be able to enter.
They all fought because they were both angry and delusional, neither of them noticed anything off with the Illusion Array...
"How long will you be able to stay outside?" The Ancestral Earthen Elephant snickered at him.
"More than enough to occupy it and take care of you!" The Ancestral 'Holy' Deer roared at him.
They were both rushing towards the Spirit Stone Mine, but the Ancestral 'Holy' Deer was inevitably the fastest.
He was able to occupy that Spirit Stone Mine and prevent others from approaching.
"Guhahahaha! This is mine!" The Ancestral 'Holy' Deer spoke like he was completely deranged and with the same vigour started to absorb the ambient Qi and Qi coming out of the Spirit Stone Mine.
The Qi was dropping rapidly, which concerned everyone, but none of them were prepared for what happened next.
The sky darkened in an eerie red blazing colour. The earth suddenly started to heat up and distort.
*BOOOOOOM*
The earth was blasted apart with unimaginable force and as it flew through the air it melted completely, raining down like molten droplets from the sky.
The scenery quickly changed from peaceful to apocalyptic as the trees and any kind of greenery quickly burned away.
The Ancestral 'Holy' Deer was the one caught in the middle, but he was fortunate enough that most of that damage was absorbed by his protective Qi barrier and Treasures.
*Cough*"Fuck." Both the Ancestral 'Holy' Deer and Earthen Elephant immediately knew what was happening. Someone gave them false information!
However, even if they knew that and knew who gave them that information, it didn't mean the monster in front of them would listen to them. Especially since the Ancestral 'Holy' Deer consumed its Spirit Stone reserves.
The monster's body slowly slithered out from within the molten Spirit Stone Mine.
Looking closely, the Spirit Stone Mine was actually being protected by some kind of barrier, making it unaffected by this disaster.
The slithering serpent showed its body. It was dark black with fire burning on its spine.
This kind of serpent usually lived very deep underground, but this place didn't have too many active volcanoes, so it was forced to find a place with high Spirit Stone content in order to be able to evolve further.
As you might expect, this black serpent was mightily pissed, since not only it was not supposed to be in this Mortal World, but it was also interrupted in the middle of Evolution.
What that meant was a simple carnage. It would find those that disturbed him and kill them before slithering inside.
*RUMBLE*
The sky darkened, not because of the black serpent's bloodline, but because the Mortal Rules were slowly being applied to restrain the black serpent.
Of course, the black serpent knew that, so he immediately slapped the Earthen Elephant leader with its tail.
The strongest Earthen Elephant died like it was made out of tofu.
Both the Ancestral Earthen Elephant and 'Holy' Deer stiffened. They knew that this monster was strong, but they didn't expect it to be this strong!
'What the fuck is this monster doing in the Mortal World?!'
They both realised this 'thing' shouldn't exist here, but for some reason it was allowed to be here.
The black serpent spotted a very shiny deer. It was some time since it had venison and this was a good opportunity before it would have to slither inside.
The Ancestral 'Holy' Deer shuddered. He knew that he became a target and cursed the Ancestral Earthen Elephant for being so weak that he was not even noticed by that monster.
The Ancestral 'Holy' Deer immediately conjured a barrier from its bloodline before immediately running away.
The barrier was supposed to buy him enough time until the monster was punished by the Mortal Rules, but not everything would go his way.
*Swish*
A tail whipped him through the barrier, like it was never there to begin with. His internal organs were damaged and if he didn't reinforce his body with his Beast Core energy, he would already be lying on the ground dead.
The force was so strong that it even cracked his Beast Core, but he couldn't care about that right now.
Everything was meaningless against absolute power and especially against something that shouldn't exist.
Even that little Fox was not as terrifying as this thing, or at least that's what the Ancestral 'Holy' Deer believed.
The black serpent was not amused that its venison was able to run away so far. It really didn't have enough time to get there, so he would just torch this place to deter others from approaching.
The black serpent's body inflated like a balloon before he breathed out black smoke. That smoke rose towards the clouds that were supposed to punish it, but there was still time to use his innate ability.
The black serpent then breathed out fire and cooked the nearby carcasses that were created due to its anger and it gulped them down quickly before slithering back inside.
"We are saved..." The Ancestral 'Holy' Deer said weakly. He didn't expect to be injured like this. Moreover, 70% of his elite squad was wiped out and the remaining was badly injured.
The Earthen Elephants were nowhere to be seen. It seemed like they were quite quick on their feet when it came to danger.
*cough*
The Ancestral 'Holy' Deer was battered, but he was still alive...
*drip drip*
Suddenly, the black cloud was starting to drop liquid on them.
"FUCK!" The Ancestral 'Holy' Deer immediately noticed that it was actually not raining water, but molten droplets. It looked like something between earth and metal, making it very difficult to block by normal barriers.
His remaining retainers died quickly due to the droplets, making his Holy Deer Clan pretty much extinct.
The Ancestral 'Holy' Deer used one of his saving Treasures to teleport outside the range of the black cloud, but two of his legs were already burned to crisp, making movement difficult.
"Not so tough now, huh?" The Ancestral Earthen Elephant wheezed at him. He was trying to calm down his breathing, but it was difficult because he ran for too long.
He never expected to be this weak after cancelling the Contract!
"Look at you." The Ancestral 'Holy' Deer clicked his tongue, but he soon groaned from pain because that 'charred' part of his leg was spreading like it was some kind of poison.
"Used all of your Treasures, huh?" The Ancestral Earthen Elephant snickered. Since his injury was negligible, he would be able to wait it out and then consume the Ancestral 'Holy' Deer's Beast Core, allowing him to recover a lot of his cultivation.
"That doesn't mean I can't flatten you!" The Ancestral 'Holy' Deer glared at him, but it was obvious most of his energy was going towards suppressing that 'poison'.
"Act tough. I heard even your son left you." The Ancestral Earthen Elephant snickered at him.
"Gentlemen." A melodious voice startled both of them, but once they realised whom that voice belonged to, they both grimaced.
"You seem unwell, how about some venison soup?" The bird lady smirked at them. She was overjoyed that these bastards were both weak and badly injured.
Well, the Ancestral Earthen Elephant couldn't be said to be injured, but considering his low cultivation... he might as well be.
"Don't try me! I have more than enough strength to take both of us out!" The Ancestral 'Holy' Deer threatened to blow up his Beast Core.
"Oh no, I'm so scared~" The bird lady giggled at them.
They both paused. There was something amiss about this.
They got record that the Crow Clan removed the Contract, but the Crow Head was bedridden and wouldn't be able to move for a few decades.
However, reality couldn't be further away from their reports. Not only did she not look sickly, but she was also very energetic, which was unlike her!
"C-can we make a deal?" The Ancestral Earthen Elephant wanted to recover his might, but if he didn't step back right now, there would be no chance to recover!
"Deal about making a nice roast~?" The bird lady smiled from ear to ear. She would roast both of them and give them to the little Fox, since she seemed to like meat.
"I can give you my Treasures! Do you want my son? You can have him too!" The Earthen Elephant pleaded while his Clan looked at him in disbelief. If it were the previous Clan Head, he would never say something like this, but now he was too weak, making him soft like a persimmon...
