Chapter 693 689 – Rehabilitation or Romance?
Chapter 693 689 – Rehabilitation or Romance?
"So then, what is the next course of action?" Mei glanced at Aiko who was acting all innocent.
"There is entertainment to be gained." Moon Aiko smirked. They didn't notice, but the Guard Fox already disappeared from this place.
Moon Aiko knew where he was headed, so she was curious on how he would handle it.
"You know that you shouldn't disturb it..." Mei narrowed her eyes, but she was also curious about how he would handle it.
"Then let's be quiet shall we~?" Moon Aiko hummed, and pretty much everyone followed her.
They wouldn't approach directly, their sight was good enough that they could just look from far away and not be easily spotted.
"This seems like a good place." Moon Aiko smirked and waited for everything to unfold in front of her.
...
Bin was crawling around, approaching her home, only pausing in front of her fence covered by flora.
He waited and listened to what was inside.
"50 Spirit Stones he will blow it." Mei immediately placed a bet, making everyone roll their eyes.
"100 that he will get her." Moon Aiko smirked. It was fun to go against Mei and it was not like they were waging high stakes, so everything was alright.
They then stared at what would happen next.
The old Fox walked outside, with a basket full of what seemed like bedding.
She placed it on the ground before hanging it in temporary strings, making it dry in the nice weather.
The Guard Fox was waiting, since he had no idea how to approach this, so he would just lay there and wait for anything to happen.
The old Fox was able to hang all the bedding quite quickly. She then sighed. "If only there was better support for the hanging strings, then I would be able to do all the beddings at once."
It was quite bothersome to use clean since her body was not stable enough. The next best option was to do it by hand and get used to the fact that her body will no longer be the same.
The Guard Fox heard that and immediately crawled away. He would make some nice support beams and make those strings stronger!
"He will blow it..." Moon Aiko groaned when she saw him pulling out a whole tree out of the ground and shaving it down.
"I told ya." Mei smirked at her.
"I think he will win." Wanshu and Yuxi nodded their heads slowly. They already noticed his approach, so unless her scars were deep, he should be able to approach her and win her over.
Everyone has a clumsy side, so if she was not a perfectionist, this should play in his favour.
Moon Aiko glanced at them and waited.
The Guard Fox made several poles out of the tree. They looked sturdy enough, but how will he secure them?
He pulled yet another tree, but this time he shaved it into smaller sticks.
"He will probably use them to secure the big pole." Mei narrowed her eyes.
"It won't work all that well... is what I would like to say, but it's debatable since we don't know what kind of wood he picked." Moon Aiko narrowed her eyes, but she was unable to figure out if that was special wood or completely normal wood.
If it was special wood, then he would be able to do something about the hanging strings and possibly even make it last for a long time... well, until everyone left this place.
"En." Mei nodded her head.
Everyone was quiet, watching what would happen next.
Bin crawled back with the wood on his back and waited... and waited...

During the evening/night, he finally moved, jumping over the fence. He quickly replaced the poles and clumsily secured the new poles with the sticks.
He didn't bring any nails, so he just shoved the sticks into the pole, making it somewhat sturdy as long as you don't kick it.
Moon Aiko was not impressed by what he created, but it should last a few years before they leave this Fox Village behind.
"It would be funny if it fell." Mei chuckled. That would mean she would pretty much win this bet, but she was not really after the few Spirit Stones.
This was a learning experience for everyone, especially Aiko. She never really interacted with too many Foxes, so her outlook is either seriously grim, or too light.
This would allow her to learn that there is world out there with vast personalities that don't immediately go and rape anything and everything that moves.
It would also be a good idea if she learned the general courting and just the normal common sense of Foxes, but she didn't bet on that part too much.
...
The next morning everyone was waiting about what would happen.
The old Fox walked out. Her body momentarily stiffened before she approached her cleaned bedding.
The Guard Fox didn't pay too much attention to the bedding, so the lower part was quite dirty from when he was replacing the supporting poles.
It was quite the funny sight, but someone didn't think in the same way.
"I will have to clean it again..." The old Fox ignored the fact that the supporting poles changed, since she had more pressing issues to remedy.
The main issue would be that she was using already old bedding and these were supposed to replace it today, but since they were dirty she wouldn't be able to.
She shook her head as she collected the bedding and went to wash it.
The Guard Fox noticed his next assignment and crawled away. He would get some of his spare bedding and just leave it near her home for her to pick up.
It didn't take too long and the whole group could see him returning with a few bedsheets on his back.
"Why doesn't he transform into a Fox Form?" Moon Aiko suddenly asked.
"Because most Foxes love the feeling of their fingers. You just can't do the same things in your Fox Form, so most of them just prefer to stay in their pseudo-Human Form." Mei shrugged. She held a similar opinion since fingers were indispensable for her while she cleaned Herbs and other things.
"Makes sense." Moon Aiko paid attention to the comedy once again.
The Guard Fox left those sheets close to her door, but still outside since he would never go into her home.
"50 Spirit Stones it will rain." Feifei placed her own bet to make it more fun.
"What?" Everyone looked at her oddly, making her confused.
"You are so mean..." Moon Aiko blinked her eyes at her.
"I would never think you would do something like that." Mei shook her head.
"Why are you bullying me?!" Feifei yelped at everyone, feeling flustered from their reaction. "You were the ones to talk about him messing up, so why can't I bet on the weather?!"
*Pft*
Everyone laughed, because it was fun teasing Feifei.
"I will match that bet, but it will just be cloudy." Yuxi didn't want him to lose, but it wouldn't make sense that there would be no clouds on this day. The humidity was increasing slowly, but it was obvious the sky would at least be covered in clouds.
Everyone paused before pulling their umbrellas. Nobody really wanted to bother controlling their Qi to make a shield against rain since it was too bothersome when they were just trying to enjoy the show.
Moon Aiko took out some snacks and handed them to everyone. Everyone had a paper umbrella, something to drink from the Twins and snacks from Aiko.
Feifei provided her cuteness and chubby cheeks when she was stuffing herself, so everything was fine.
Everyone paid close attention to what was happening inside and outside the house, but...
*drip drip*
It didn't take too long for the first droplets to fall down from the passing clouds.
The Guard Fox seemed to panic, but before he made up his mind it turned into a downpour.
The old Fox ran home, feeling puzzled why there were more sheets outside her house, but she just took everything inside before it was completely soaked.
The Guard Fox was not moving. The rain pretty much mimicked his emotions since things were not going well...
...
3 days later, the group started to get impatient.
The Guard Fox messed up so many things, from the reservoir of water, making a hole into it by accident, into breaking her roof by falling through it when he tried to clean the chimney.
Needless to say, there was no one as clumsy as he was when it came to very simple tasks.
On the other hand, when it required just brute strength and finesse (Yes, finesse for some reason), he suddenly turned into an expert and dealt with it easily.
The boulder that was in the way of her travelling? Poof and gone, flying somewhere far away!
A tree fell down, making it difficult to move along the road? Another thing that spawned wings and flew away!
He was honestly an expert in giving things wings and letting them disappear far away...
-----
"There are bizarre things happening around me, but I don't know what to do with it..." The old Fox didn't know how to approach this since she was very scared.
"Why not just ask him?" The Blazing Fox became a friend with the old Fox, all thanks to her cooking.
"..." The old Fox didn't want to. She didn't know what to tell him or how to approach this situation.
"Then that's simple~" The Blazing Fox clapped her hands. She was observing the old Fox for quite some time, so she knew that he was somewhere around here.
She breathed in and out, confusing the old Fox.
"Kyaaaaa!" The Blazing Fox shrieked on top of her lungs, startling pretty much everyone in this place.
"What happened?!" The door flew across the room, like it was made out of paper, but that was a solid wood door, which was quite heavy.
"See?" The Blazing Fox giggled, while old Fox felt conflicted.
"Come here~" The Blazing Fox dragged Bin in front of the old Fox, letting them talk it out.
"Take your time, fufu~" The Blazing Fox winged before disappearing outside.
"Um..." Bin didn't know what to do, since he was not prepared for this.
In the past few days he was satisfied with just helping her here and there and that was it. He no longer had any intention in approaching her, since he was worried that she would reject him.
"..." They were both silent, not knowing what to say. It seemed like it would be a long day ahead...
