Chapter 641 – Immortal World
Chapter 641 – Immortal World
{Somewhere on the Moon.}
Nüwa peacefully slept in her little nest.
"You are lazy again." Chang'e reprimanded her.
"What can I do? We are 'sealed', 'weak', and 'banished." Nüwa lazily rolled around.
"That's only because you are not collecting any Providence." Chang'e rolled her eyes.
"How am I supposed to do that when those Sects are hoarding things?" Nüwa rolled her eyes.
"..." Chang'e observed how Nüwa suddenly grew larger. "Uh-huh, you are not doing anything, huh?"
"Yep, I'm just sleeping." Nüwa giggled happily.
"......" Chang'e saw that she was getting a bit... too big.
"Mind going outside?" Chang'e suddenly had a bad premonition about her home.
"You are always like this. Why do I have to move when we can't do anything here?" Nüwa sank even more into her bed.
"No, seriously, you gotta move." Chang'e's voice sharpened when she saw Nüwa grow even more.
"What's wrong with you?" Nüwa looked towards Chang'e, but realised she was quite small. "Hehe, you are so cute~" She giggled happily at how small Chang'e was.
"Go outside!" Chang'e yelled at her, since she feared that her home might collapse.
"En, en." Nüwa rolled her eyes and stretched. Her tail shot through the multiple walls and damaged the supporting beams.
"Eh?" Nüwa blinked her eyes like she didn't expect this kind of outcome.
*Rumble*
The whole house started to shake, since the supporting pillars were no longer there.
Soon after, the rest of the wall collapsed under the pressure, and the whole building turned into kindling.
"..." Nüwa gulped nervously.
"Nüwaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!" Chang'e yelled at the top of her lungs.
"I'm sorry! Waaaaaa!" Nüwa immediately ran away, since Chang'e was chasing her with a pan and a knife.
"I will have a roasted fish today even if it's the last thing I will do!" Chang'e roared at her.
"I'm sorry! I'm sorry! It was an accident!" Nüwa cried since she didn't see Chang'e angry for a long time.
"I even have spices prepared, so be a good eel and jump on my pan!" Chang'e turned into a demon that chased a poor serpent around.
"Please forgive me!" Nüwa cried even more.
"Why do you think I told you to go out?!" Chang'e kept chasing after her.
"Because I was lazy and grew fat!" Nüwa cried out.
"So you know you were in the wrong." Chang'e's face distorted even more.
"Eeeeek!" Nüwa cried rivers of tears as she kept slithering away from Chang'e.
"So you know you should've trained a bit, but not only did you brush me off, but you even destroyed my home!" Chang'e would not take it lying down. She would taste at least half of a roasted eel!
"I will buy you anything you want!" Nüwa suddenly cried out.
Chang'e paused, but her demon-like face remained. "Anything?"
"Anything, anything." Nüwa kept nodding like a broken doll.
"How do you plan to accomplish that when we can't freely move around the Immortal World?" Chang'e started to sharpen her knives on a whetstone.
"I can temporarily rip the space, and we can explore the cities!" Nüwa gestured. She suddenly recovered a lot of Providence, so they could use some of it to fool around.
"And how are you able to do that?" Chang'e got very close and personal to Nüwa.
"Because I recovered some Providence...?" Nüwa gulped nervously.
"How?" Chang'e narrowed her eyes, but when she saw Nüwa flustered, her eyes turned unkind again. "Don't tell me you have no idea what happened with your LAST Mortal World." She glared at this lazy serpent again.
"N-no, of course I know what is happening, haha..." Nüwa sweated buckets, trying to quickly figure out what happened.
"W-what?!" Her eyes widened greatly when she saw why she gained so much Providence.
"What?" Chang'e paused when she saw Nüwa's shocked face.
"She razed a whole continent?!" Nüwa almost fainted when she saw the casualty numbers.
"Whom?" Chang'e paused at her exaggerated expression.
"Who do you think? It's that Fox again." Nüwa sweated profusely when she saw the overall destruction.
Chang'e looked over her shoulder to see if she was joking.
"Oh, one large island is completely unusable, huh?" Chang'e didn't think much of it.
"Nonononono, it's a big issue!" Nüwa sniffled.
"Why would that- Oh? Those old fogeys are still alive? I'm shocked they didn't die yet." Chang'e was impressed that those Old Beasts were still alive.
They called themselves like that, but more accurately, it would be 'Rotten Fossils'. Unfortunately, for some reason, they didn't like that kind of name.
"Well, it seems that one of the large islands will become Beasts' territory, not much you can do about it." Chang'e laughed, clearly in a better mood, since Nüwa was troubled.
"Oh, and don't forget we are supposed to go shopping~" Chang'e hummed happily as she skipped a few steps. "Clear the debris, we will be buying materials for a grand mansion or something similar.
"What...?" Nüwa heard that and shuddered. She had money, but not THAT much money!
"What? Do you have a problem?" Chang'e turned around with her demon-like face.
"N-no." Nüwa almost started to cry again.
"Good." Chang'e smiled before leaving the premises.
...
{Somewhere in the Immortal World.}
"They degraded." Chang'e looked around, but most of the materials were of poor quality and were very expensive.
"They don't cherish what they have." Nüwa replied blankly. She had to pull all-nighters thanks to a certain Fox.
"I don't think we will be able to find much, so we are looking for saplings." Chang'e nodded her head.
"You intend to grow something on that barren Moon?" Nüwa was speechless.
"Thanks to a certain Fox, it's possible." Chang'e looked over the sapling, and they both suddenly paused.
"I'm suddenly having a cold sweat." Chang'e's body shook.
"You too?" Nüwa's body shuddered.
"Let's hope she won't be able to ascend for a while." Chang'e gulped nervously.
"And if she does, let's reinforce our seal." Nüwa repeatedly nodded her head.
"Great idea, we should buy materials for that." Chang'e smirked.
"Fucking sun, burned most of our pastures." One farmer complained. There was a shortage of everything, thanks to a certain Sun burning anything in its path.
"..." The duo looked at each other and pretended that they didn't know who caused this mess, while they kept shopping around for more materials...
...
{Somewhere on the Moon.}
"It was a lot more expensive than expected." Nüwa complained lightly, but...
"Let's hope Aiko doesn't raise more hell..." Chang'e didn't like the prices either, but they had to buy it.
"Do you think she will build us a cosy home?" Nüwa pondered if that would be possible.
"Homes*. No way in hell will I live with you." Chang'e shook her head. She had to take care of this lazy bun. She would be a round ball at this point.
"How mean..." Nüwa pouted at her.
"You seem more lively." Chang'e picked up her pan and knife.
"I will move the materials to the location of the construction site." Nüwa immediately picked some wood and carried it swiftly over.
...
"Chang'e..." Nüwa cried out.
"There, there." Chang'e patted her back gently. She was watching the 'war' between Foxes and Foxes with various Delegations.
"Aiko is meeean." Nüwa cried as she saw her Providence returning and depleting.
"You were always kind to her, so you have nothing to worry about." Chang'e held her laughter. It was so fun to see that mischievously lazy Nüwa suffering.
...
"Chang'e! Chang'e!" Nüwa came over with excitement.
"What is it this time? Is she leaving?" Chang'e rolled her eyes.
"Yeah~!" Nüwa hummed happily.
"Oh? Show me." Chang'e was curious where this would lead to, since knowing Aiko, she would definitely do something outrageous again.
"They are leaving the-" Nüwa's smile froze. "W-wait! Don't go into that forest! Nooooooooooooo!" Her whole body plopped down on the floor as she cried one more river of tears.
"There, there." Chang'e patted Nüwa again, but she had a hard time stifling her laughter.
"You are laughing now, but once those old geezers ascend, you will be in trouble!" Nüwa cry-glared at Chang'e.
"They won't remember me." Chang'e said that, as if she was convinced of it.
"Uh-huh." Nüwa chuckled sinisterly.
"They won't remember, right...?" Chang'e suddenly had another bad premonition.
"You think the Holy Deer will forget that you threw poop at him?" Nüwa blankly stared at Chang'e. "How about the Nightmare Owl? The one that you almost cooked?"
"..." Chang'e pursed her lips. She didn't expect her rebellious teenage years to bite her in the ass.
"What gifts do you think they will like?" Chang'e wiped the sweat and looked at Nüwa like she was her saviour.
"You think gifts will fix this?" Nüwa's doubtful gaze made Chang'e even more nervous.
"It-it won't?" Chang'e sniffled. She didn't really want to meet her teen struggles.
"There, there." This time, Nüwa was the one comforting Chang'e...
