Chapter 465: Old Ren

Chapter 465: Old Ren

"Oh. I do know the owner of that shop." Hun Xiong Kun glanced over at where Lin Xuan Qi pointed and said, "They have been around for many years and they use the best ingredients for their rice noodles, rice cakes and rice paper rolls."

"Which means they are getting their rice supplies from you?" Lin Xuan Qi raised an eyebrow and asked.

It might make things a little more complicated if that were so.

If he bought the shop, there was no way that the shop would buy the rice from Hun Xiong Kun anymore.

But if he did so, Hun Xiong Kun would lose a little bit of his income.

"Of course, where else can they get rice of such good quality." Hun Xiong Kun said with his head held high.

Lin Xuan Qi sighed and placed his hand on Hun Xiong Kun’s shoulder, "I’m sorry to say it to you but I intend to buy over the shop."

The rice noodles, rice cakes and rice paper rolls as food made from rice and other ingredients were perfect for him.

And with the number of workers he saw in the shop, the increased rice supplies from the system could be used to make all the rice noodles, rice cakes and rice paper rolls.

There was no other better business that he could purchase so he didn’t want to miss out on it.

Fortunately, when Hun Xiong Kun heard him, he didn’t hesitate for even a moment.

He gave Lin Xuan Qi a smile and said, "Please do whatever you want.

"If it weren’t for you, my business would have closed up a long time ago.

"And besides that, the increase of two hundred kilograms daily allows me to make more money from the other customers."

Hun Xiong Kun was speaking sincerely from the bottom of his heart.

"Glad that you don’t mind. Feel free to let me know if you ever need help in the future." Lin Xuan Qi was surprised with how quick it was for Hun Xiong Kun to make his decision.

He patted on Hun Xiong Kun’s shoulder and said.

Hun Xiong Kun had been a great business partner ever since they had partnered with each other and he could not ask for more from him.

Hun Xiong Kun glanced at Lin Xuan Qi and said, "As a matter of fact, I do have a small favor to ask."

"What is it about?" Lin Xuan Qi asked and Hun Xiong Kun scratched the back of his head.

"I intend to order more of the Lin Clan Taste Transcendent Essence when you have stock.

"The stocks I had from you earlier are already sold out."

Lin Xuan Qi nodded his head and said, "I will check with the fishmongers tomorrow to see if they could do anything to help."

He had heard that some of the fishermen had tried to start farming the Kelp but he was not sure if they were successful or not.

And in winter time till early spring, it was the best time for the kelp to grow.

He would need to have an increase in supply to be able to satisfy the needs of all his resellers.

It would be even worse if he started to sell the Lin Clan Taste Transcendent Essence in Gui Feng City as well.

So, the trip to Bai Sha tomorrow was inevitable.

Lin Xuan Qi only had a vague idea on how to farm the kelp and he thought that maybe whatever he knew might be of help to the fishermen.

"Then, I shall wait for your good news tomorrow." Hun Xiong Kun said and cupped his hands at Lin Xuan Qi.

"Come with me, I will introduce you to the owners of the shop." He walked towards the shop and gestured for Lin Xuan Qi to follow him.

Lin Xuan Qi did so and he was feeling good about the shop.

While they were having their conversation, he had observed that the customer traffic for the shop was pretty good, with a few customers coming in and buying something.

It was winter and having some customers in the cold was a good indication of how it would be in the other seasons.

"Old Ren, how are you doing? Is your back feeling better?" Hun Xiong Kun stepped into the shop and talked to an old man behind the counter.

Old Ren patted his back a few times and shook his head, "I’m getting too old for this, but I can’t stop."

He glanced into the back of the shop where the workers were busy making the rice noodles, rice cakes and rice paper rolls.

"I have so many mouths to feed and when I stop..."

Hun Xiong Kun gave him a smile, took the opportunity and said, "I think I have the solution for you."

"Solution?"

"Master Lin here can help." Hun Xiong Kun glanced over at Lin Xuan Qi who was standing by his side.

Old Ren glanced at Lin Xuan Qi and said, "Pleased to meet you, Master Lin."

Lin Xuan Qi cupped his hands at Old Ren, did not waste time and said, "Pleased to meet you, Old Ren.

"I would like to make an offer for the shop if you are open to it.

"And don’t worry about your workers, I will keep them and give them the same remunerations."

"Really?" Old Ren inspected Lin Xuan Qi from head to toe, not sure if such a young master as Lin Xuan Qi would be able to keep his word.

Hun Xiong Kun stepped forward to help, "Don’t be fooled by his young appearance.

"He owns a few businesses and has been my business partner for a very long time.

"Working with him has been easy and he has always delivered on his promises.

"Oh, if you remember how it was when the rebels came into the city..."

He went on and briefed Old Ren about how Lin Xuan Qi took in those who had lost everything and gave them a new life.

Old Ren’s eyes opened wide and he exclaimed after what he heard from Hun Xiong Kun, "So you are that charitable Master Lin who dispensed the charity porridge!"

Lin Xuan Qi gave him a smile and said, "It’s just flattery from the others, everyone else like the Governor helped and played a part in it."

"You are just being modest." Old Ren felt more confident about Lin Xuan Qi after what he had heard so far and he pondered on the price for the shop.
