Chapter 453: The Dark Lord

Qian Ren weakened tremendously and he glanced around trying to see if there was any lifeline for him.

The elders were now heavily injured by Sima Bang and Sima Sun.

And they might perish at any moment soon.

He went on and tried to see if there was hope for him on the ground.

The Sima Family mansion was still within the protection of the Formation Array and the surrounding buildings were damaged by the battle that had raged on earlier.

Qian Ren decided to muster all the Spirit Qi he had and he pointed his finger at Sima Luo’s head.

"Six Pulse Attack!" He shouted and pulse waves one after another shot out from his finger.

Sima Luo didn’t dodge.

He activated his protection artifact and the glowing ball appeared immediately to protect him once more.

Boom.

When the pulse wave hit the glowing ball, an explosion ensued.

The shock wave radiated out and it made Qian Ren and Sima Luo fly out in opposite directions.

However, it was still not enough to break the hold that the Heaven Swallowing You Ming Chains had on Qian Ren.

Another explosion ensued when the next pulse wave struck.

The glowing ball started shimmering but it came back to protect Sima Luo before the next pulse wave arrived.

There were six explosions in total, one after another, when the pulse waves struck.

And when all the smoke had settled, Qian Ren saw that Sima Luo was still intact and he was still trapped by the chains, with not much Spirit Qi left.

He felt that he didn’t have much of a choice left.

His glowing figure suddenly stopped its struggle with the glowing figure of Sima Luo and it flew towards the middle-aged man who was looking at the battle above in the air.

Qian Ren thought that he would be successful when his nascent soul stopped in front of the man.

His nascent soul reached out at the man with its hand but the man shrugged his shoulders and held onto his nascent soul’s wrist.

Worms crawled out from the man’s arm, and they continued crawling along his hand.

When they reached Qian Ren’s nascent soul they wiggled and slowly burrowed into the glowing figure of Qian Ren.

"How is this possible?!" Qian Ren exclaimed and felt his connection to his nascent soul slowly going away.

The man patted the shoulder of Qian Ren’s nascent soul and the nascent soul dissipated.

He took a step forward, stepping into the air as if there was an invisible staircase right in front of him.

Miraculously, the man was able to climb upwards into the air.

Slowly, the Dark Lord was able to get to where Qian Ren and Sima Luo were.

"I would not get involved if I were you.

"The Sima Family is happy to be host to someone like you at any time but not today." Sima Luo frowned and said when he saw what had happened.

For someone who could take care of a nascent soul so easily, he knew that the man in front of him wasn’t someone he could deal with easily.

Sima Bang and Sima Sun also ignored the elders from the Six Pulse Sword Sect and lunged at the Dark Lord instead.

Some of the dark tentacles shot at Sima Bang and Sima Sun, and the impact was enough to make both of them fall and smash hard into the ground.

Clouds of smoke rose from where they landed and they struggled hard to get back onto their feet.

The Heaven Swallowing You Ming Chains wrapped onto one of the dark tentacles but it got absorbed into the dark tentacle instead.

In the next moment, Sima Luo felt a hard tug and he was flung towards the Dark Lord.

The Dark Lord stretched his right arm forward and his right hand plunged through the body of Sima Luo.

Not even the glowing ball could stop the Dark Lord’s attack.

"Argh." Sima Luo cried out in pain and he confirmed one thing.

The Dark Lord was at least at Soul Formation.

He held onto the arm of the Dark Lord and shouted, "Run! I’ll try to delay him."

Sima Yu and the other family members frowned when they saw what happened and heard what Sima Luo had said.

They gasped and looked at the sky not knowing what to expect next.

Things were going well for them and out of a sudden, it had turned the other way around again.

The dark tentacles began to latch onto the blue glow of the Formation Array and cracks could be seen on it.

Sima Yu came to his senses and he shouted, "Get the kids and women to safety.

"Everyone else, prepare to battle to your death."

After he said that, there was panic all around him.

Sima Yu narrowed his eyes and reached into his shirt.
