Chapter 447: The Retaliation

"Come on out you cowards!" Elder Mian shouted and he unleashed another pulse wave at the blue glow that was covering the whole area of the Sima Family mansion.

"I think everyone can see how gutless they are and they should be named the Sima Turtle Family instead." Elder Cher chimed in and the two of them burst out in laughter.

They were laughing with their hands on their bellies before two beams that were a red glow, shot out suddenly from the Sima Family mansion at them.

Whoosh.

Both of them flew to the side and dodged the red beams in the final moments.

Scraps of cloth flew in the air.

They were from their clothes when the red beams brushed past their clothes slightly.

"Watch out!" Elder Tan shouted and three figures flew out from the Sima Family mansion towards them.

Dang!

Elder Tan had to parry off the attack from the figure that had appeared in front of him.

The figure was one of the Sima Family elders holding a long flat metallic weapon which looked like a huge ruler.

Similarly, Elder Cher and Elder Mian were also attacked by the elders from the Sima Family.

"Finally, you dare to show up!" Elder Mian shouted and he tried to thrust his sword into the Sima Family elder that was nearest to him.

Whoosh.

Beams of red glow came at him from the Sima Family elder and he had to stop and fly away to dodge it.

The Sima Family elder smirked with a brush dripped with red ink in his hand.

Not too far away, Elder Cher wasn’t faring any better.

He was being chased by a glowing eagle which was the size of an adult man, and its claws, unleashing slicing waves at Elder Cher, was giving him a tough time.

Elder Cher and Elder Mian cursed, and they tried to flee to where Elder Tan was.

And meanwhile, when the battle between the elders was going on, the Sima Family members started to stream out from the mansion.

They didn’t waste any time and they headed towards where Sima Ye and Sima Huo were immediately.

"Get away from me!" Elder Cher shouted and he thrust his sword at the glowing eagle.

The pulse waves that shot out from his sword hit onto the wing of the glowing eagle and it broke off from the glowing eagle.

After being hit, the glowing eagle spiraled downwards before it dissipated.

Elder Cher made use of the chance and he was able to fly next to Elder Tan.

Boom.

Elder Mian hit the red beam that shot at him with his pulse wave and it caused an explosion.

He made use of the shock wave from the explosion and flew towards Elder Tan successfully.

When the three of them got together, they thrust their swords together at the three elders from the Sima Family.

Sing.

A torrent of glowing swords appeared in front of them and the glowing swords started to fly towards the elders from the Sima Family.

The glowing swords forced the elders from the Sima Family to stop and protect themselves with their Artifacts.

Thud.

Golden glow engulfed them and the glowing swords hit onto it, giving out a loud thud before they dissipated.

When all the glowing swords were gone, the elders from the Sima Family were untouched and they stared at their enemies.

"Long time no see, Hong, Bin and Kun." Elder Tan said and pointed his sword at the elders from the Sima Family.

Sima Hong holding the huge long metallic ruler narrowed his eyes and said, "The Sima Family have restrained ourselves and yet, you were like barbarians trying to forsake the rule and order that the Da Qian Dynasty has.

"You leave us no choice but to teach you a lesson on being civil."

His voice echoed in the air and it could be heard by everyone in Hong Feng City.

Elder Tan shook his head at Sima Hong and said, "I see that you are still pretending to be upright and righteous to the mortals."

"Hmph, pretending? You think everyone else is barbaric and evil like you are?" Sima Hong grunted and said.

Sima Bin held up the Artifact of an eagle and said, "There’s no use wasting our time with them."

"I agree." Sima Kun said and also held up the brush with red ink in his hand.

It would be a long battle for them to take out one another where they were all at Core Formation Level and it had to be done.

The Sima Family had the home ground advantage where there were backups and support they could get from the Sima Family mansion.

So, the advantage seemed to be on their side.

"You are right, let’s get them!" Sima Hong shouted and they flew towards Elder Tan, Cher and Mian.

Sima Hong swung his metallic ruler at Elder Tan and it forced Elder Tan to try and block it with his sword.

The force and impact from the metallic ruler made Elder Tan’s sword bend but it wasn’t able to break it.

Elder Tan gave out a roar and his Spirit Qi emitted out from his body, making Sima Hong retreat a few meters back.

Sima Hong gritted his teeth and he injected more of his Spirit Qi into the metallic ruler and it miraculously became bigger and bigger, until it was at least twenty meters long.

He swiped the metallic ruler at Elder Tan next, as if he was trying to swat a fly with it.

Elder Tan cursed and he had to fly away from the reach of the metallic ruler.

Whoosh.

The metallic ruler brushed past him and a gust of wind that followed made his clothes and beard flutter in the air.

Elder Tan shot a glance at the others and saw that they were also in a struggle against Sima Bin and Sima Kun.

At this rate, they wouldn’t be able to break through the Formation Array of the Sima Family mansion or kill off Sima Hong, Sima Bin or Sima Kun.

Elder Tan frowned and thought that it was time for the surprise.
