Chapter 422: This can’t beGabriel remained unfazed as he kept pointing his gun at Sandra. He could see the shock in her eyes and he was sure that she was having a hard time accepting her defeat.
Taking a steady step ahead, he then asked," It would be better if you surrender. There is no way for you to escape"
Gabriel slowly tilted his head as he motioned to Sky and he quickly waved his hand to his men.
Sandra who was still the entire time noticed the small movement around. The way his men were slowly moving alarmed her and she immediately snapped out of her trance, keeping her guard up.
A sinister smirk curled on her lips as she positioned herself." You think I am a fool who doesn’t understand what you are trying to do, Gabriel"
Her words shocked him and he stopped. Gabriel thought he would be able to manipulate her but he was wrong. A wicked lady like Sandra would never get brainwashed.
Anger surged into his heart and before he could motion his men to round her, Sandra pulled the trigger and shot Gabriel.

Her sudden action alarmed Gabriel and he quickly shot her back, right into her arm and her gun fell.
Aahh...
Sandra whine in pain as she watched Gabriel with bloodshot eyes. She watched him motion his men to get her but before they could reach her, she stood firm on her feet and smiled.
"You will never be able to catch me, but I promise to avenge you all soon" With those words left she turned around and jumped into the water leaving everyone shocked.
"Jump.." he commanded his men and soon they too jumped into the water.
With Sandra being shot right in her arm he guaranteed she won’t be able to run away for too long.
Meanwhile, inside the base, Ashley’s condition was deteriorating. The doctor examined her and it was confirmed that the deadly poison was injected into her and slowly her organs were giving him.
They need to react quickly before they lose her, were the words they heard from the doctor, and without wasting a second Tristan moved Ashley to the Health care hospital.
Standing outside the emergency room, Tristan kept pacing back and forth. He could erase the image of Ashley’s lifeless body and since then the uncertainty in his heart didn’t stop.
"Did you find her?" Noah asked Gabriel who stood next to him with a bandage wrapped around his arm.
The bullet shot by Sandra barely hit him brush past his arm leaving him unharmed, but Sky who received the bullet in his leg was taken to the emergency and was getting treated.
Heaving out a sigh, Gabriel shook his head." Not yet, we are still
Holding onto her hand, Tristan gulped the pain he was going through. Losing the child they were eagerly waiting for wasn’t worst than hell. If he was going through so much pain he wondered what will happen when Ashley finally regains consciousness.
As the time passed by Tristan too felt his eyelids growing heavy and soon he fell asleep holding her hand.

The sky was still dark, but the woman who had been sleeping all this time finally woke up.
Ashley was trying to access her thoughts recalling how she lost her consciousness while watching Sandra.
Stirring onto her bed, she muttered" Where is Sandra, and what is this place"
Ashley who wasn’t aware of where she was slowly tried to push herself up but stopped and turned her head to the side.
A sigh escaped her lips when her eyes fell on Tristan. Ashley felt like she was dreaming as everything felt so strange but then she heard the beeping sound of the machine. It was then she realized where she was.
Her eyes widen in realization. ’Tristan saved her’ she thought while her eyes remained fixed on Tristan.
A wave of satisfaction passed through and she was about to wake him up but something struck her mind and her hand instantly moved to her stomach.
"No...this... this can’t be"
