Chapter 217: Should have faith in itTristan stared at Noah. He could see the same fear engulfing his heart that he had been carrying all these days. Gnashing his teeth, Tristan fist his palm and averted his gaze from Noah.
He had already made up his mind and now he didn’t want his resolve to crumble because they were scared that their partners wouldn’t understand them.
Alice and Ashley had their eyes on their men looked at each other sharing a meaningful glance and quickly averted their gaze from them.
Soon dinner was served and they all started to eat. They kept chatting along, smiling, and making fun of each other.
They also came to find that this resort was the first property Tristan earned after he took over the Melanin.
Ashley was so immersed in listening to Tristan’s achievements that she couldn’t stop admiring him.
Once the dinner was done Tristan walked away with Noah to have some talk while Karl and Gwen decided to head to their room since Gwen was feeling sleepy, whereas Alice and Ashley decided to walk around the beach.
Sitting on the cold sand Alice and Ashley were staring at the unknown place, busy thinking about the matters that were disturbing them. It had been a few days since Alice had been trying to come up with a way to tell Ashley that her life is in danger and according to Noah, Tristan has been trying to find them.
But after that day, she didn’t get the chance to talk with her but now, when no one was around, she decided to speak.
"Someone is after your life"

Both the girls said in unison surprising each other with the same words.
"What!"

Again they yelled in unison when Ashley shook her head and motioned Alice to stop.
"H-How did you know that?" Ashley asked, surprised when she heard Alice speak the same words she said.
Alice blinked her eyes as she tried to gather her thoughts. All this while, she thought Ashley wasn’t aware of the threat around her life. Then, thus it means Noah isn’t aware of Tristan already informing her about it.
Shaking her head, Alice tried to register her words. Taking a deep breath she tried to sort her thoughts and then asked," It means you already know someone is after your life. Did Tristan tell you everything?" she asked.
Ashley nodded her head staring at Alice in confusion. She didn’t know Alice too knew about Tristan’s enemies.
"Did Tristan tell you about it?" she asked.
"No. I learned it from Noah" Alice said.
Ashley creased when she heard her say Noah’s name. She recalled whether Tristan mentioned Noah’s name when he told her about his enemies. Then does it mean even Noah was helping Tristan to track them?
There were so many loopholes in this case. She had been so depressed thinking she didn’t share this threat thing with Alice but to her surprise, she was already aware of it.
"What did he tell you?" she asked getting suspicious about something deeper she wasn’t aware of.
Alice could see through her words and just like her even she was doubtful about all these mysterious enemies things.
Thinking for a while, Alice opened her mouth and told her everything that Noah spilled her.
"Lucan Scott, did I hear it right?" Ashley asked when she heard Alice mention him as Natasha Scott’s daughter, the suspect Noah tried to befriend that night in the club.
Alice nodded her head. After confronting Noah, she went on
Tristan even told him that he had been giving Ashley hints about his life, slowly opening up to her but was still skeptical to fully expose himself.
"I don’t think Alice would stay with me. She secret Tristan and this is one confidential thing about our life that will make her lose her trust in me" Noah was freaking thinking about how he would be able to gain Alice’s trust again if she wouldn’t give him a chance.
Tristan’s stared at Noah blankly. His words were slowly engulfing him with his own fear. What if Ashley won’t accept his identity? Will she also leave him?
No..no she can’t. If she had to she wouldn’t have been patient with him all this while. She wouldn’t have been ready to listen to him when he was fully ready.
No! he can’t let his negative thoughts corrupt his mind.
"Trust your love, Noah. If it’s true then Alice will accept you for who you are without judging your identity" Tristan’s words came out like an arrow striking straight into his heart.
Passing him a meaningful look Tristan walked away leaving Noah. There was nothing more he could do to make him understand what kind of consequences they could face if they keep hiding such huge things from their partners.
Noah looked at Tristan’s retreating back until it vanished. His heart was a mess and so was his mind. He couldn’t think rationally, because his fears were stopping him to stay strong.
He was not someone who ever thought that he was capable of doing love, but when he met Alice his entire world turned upside down, and in no time she became the most important person in his life. Surviving without her was the hardest thing he could imagine.
But, he also couldn’t keep her in dark, because if she happens to find out about his identity from the outside, her faith in him will deteriorate.
Looking at the place from where he saw Tristan walk away, he sighed. His friend was right. If his love was true then he should have faith in it that nothing will be wrong between him and Alice.
With this hope, he composed himself and followed Tristan.
