Chapter 27 – Huang Yiyun's talent!
Chapter 27 – Huang Yiyun's talent!
Su Mu gazed at the characters on the Fate Palace Stone, his killing intent surging forth uncontrollably—it was his Fate Palace!
Witnessing his own Fate Palace residing within another's body was no less infuriating than having one's child snatched away, flaunted and boasted about right before his eyes!
Su Yilong paid no heed to the unfavorable remarks around him, instead lifting his head in proud enjoyment before turning his gaze to Su Mu.
"See that? My Twin Fate Palace, aren't you envious?"
"Outrageous, shameless!" The crowd gasped in shock, then boiled over with anger. They had never encountered someone so brazen, so utterly devoid of shame!
Alas, they posed no threat to Su Yilong.
"Absolutely shameless!" Huang Yiyun cursed, fuming with hatred—not just at Su Yilong's audacity, but also at herself. If only she hadn't been so playful in those years and had dedicated herself to cultivation, Su Yilong wouldn't have had the chance to be so arrogant!
The four Martial House instructors all nodded in satisfaction at Su Yilong. Twin Fate Palace, even if one was of a lower grade, combined, they were comparable to a ninth-grade Fate Palace!
"Next!"
The remaining thirty-odd people exchanged glances, their eyes unanimously turning to Su Mu. Ever since he had shattered the Bronze Humanoid with a single punch, they were all eager to see his talent and to what extent he had reconstituted his Fate Palace after his re-cultivation!
After defiantly provoking Su Mu, Su Yilong stepped back. With his father's guidance, he had completely dismissed Su Mu from his mind. What did it matter how formidable Su Mu was? Even if Su Mu managed to condense a ninth-grade Fate Palace, it wouldn't surpass his own!
The Martial House instructors weren't wrong; his two Fate Palaces combined could only compare to a ninth-grade one. But don't forget, Fate Palaces could be upgraded through later cultivation!
A single powerful Fate Palace was still just one, whereas both of his could be trained and upgraded. That was a gap that someone with only one Fate Palace could never bridge!
Seeing Su Yilong return confidently, Su Mocheng nodded in satisfaction. Then his eyes flickered towards the Grand Elder, and he sensed something amiss.
"I've already burned the Heart Method. How did that Old Thing find it?"
How could he possibly keep such a powerful Heart Method for merging Fate Palaces? He had destroyed it immediately after Su Yilong's success. Could it be that what the Grand Elder found was...
"Old beast!" He seethed, his chest heaving with rage. He had been deceived!
The Grand Elder glanced at Su Mocheng and, noticing his change in complexion, withdrew his gaze. He was unaware of the reason for Su Mocheng's anger, but indeed, he had used the Heart Method as a bluff, a strategy devised by Su Mu. Under his overwhelming pressure, Su Mocheng wouldn't have the clarity to consider these things.
Now that it was all over, it didn't matter what Su Mocheng thought.
Seeing Su Mu showing no intention of moving, a Su Family genius approached the Fate Palace Stone, his expression somewhat awkward. He had previously been a fervent supporter of Su Yilong, but Su Yilong's character flaws had left him embarrassed.
"Fifth-grade Fate Palace, intermediate!"
A fifth-grade Fate Palace no longer stirred any waves.
"Fifth-grade Fate Palace, top-tier!"
"Fifth-grade Fate Palace, intermediate!"
"Fourth-grade Fate Palace!"
One after another, people went up to test, and those who revealed a fourth-grade Fate Palace immediately turned pale. They clearly remembered the instructor from the first division's words: below a fifth-grade Fate Palace, life at the Martial House would be miserable!
Watching the man step down with a gloomy face, the others could only shake their heads in pity and continue testing.
"Sixth-grade Fate Palace, entry-level!"
"Sixth-grade Fate Palace, intermediate!"
"Fifth-grade Fate Palace, top-tier!"

The testing of the thirty-odd people ended swiftly, with almost no one surpassing Zhang Heng. The strongest were still a grade below him, bolstering Zhang Heng's confidence somewhat. At least in this assessment, he could rank fourth.
"Only Huang Yiyun and Su Mu are left to test."
Everyone's eyes were glued to the two, their breathing unconsciously quickening. They knew the climax was about to unfold!
"Brother, let me test first," Huang Yiyun said to Su Mu. Su Mu, the bombshell, was undoubtedly to be saved for last.
Su Mu nodded, and Huang Yiyun approached the Fate Palace Stone, taking a deep breath before striking it.
All eyes instantly focused on the Fate Palace Stone, and even the five instructors couldn't help but tense up.
"Seventh-grade Fate Palace, top-tier!"
"Hisss, just a hair away from an eighth-grade Fate Palace!"
"She's every bit as strong as her sister!"
The crowd gasped at the numbers appearing on the Fate Palace Stone, another prodigy in their midst!
"This talent must join my division!" The instructors from the first four divisions were immediately excited. They couldn't afford to miss out on such a prodigy!
Tian Yuyue was also pleased, but upon seeing the excited instructors, her expression stiffened slightly. The pressure to have Huang Yiyun join the fifth division was likely to be immense.
The Martial House was divided into five divisions. Although the five divisions appeared to be treated equally, there were still differences in strength. The first four divisions were each stronger than the last, with the fifth division trailing behind.
Huang Yiyun, seeing the characters on the Fate Palace Stone, pouted unhappily. She could have condensed a stronger Fate Palace if not for her playfulness.
Seeing her sulk as she stepped back, Zhang Heng's expression soured first. A seventh-grade top-tier Fate Palace and still unhappy? Was she only satisfied when completely crushing him?
"Why am I always the one who gets hurt?" Zhang Heng looked up at the sky, silently shedding tears.
"Brother," Huang Yiyun mumbled, kicking at a non-existent pebble as she approached Su Mu.
"You're already very strong," Su Mu said with a light smile, comparable to his past self, although he too could have broken through to higher levels.
With Su Mu's affirmation, Huang Yiyun's face finally brightened with a smile. Huang Shiren, however, shook his head.
"This girl..." As a father, he was exasperated. So strong and yet so discontent, what would others think? Did they even deserve to live?
"It's my turn." Su Mu took a deep breath and walked towards the Fate Palace Stone.
"Brother, you can definitely crush Su Yilong!" Huang Yiyun cheered from behind, her words instantly causing a cold glint in Su Yilong's eyes. Huang Yiyun's seventh-grade Fate Palace posed no threat to him, but Su Mu...

As Su Mu stood before the Fate Palace Stone, the atmosphere instantly hushed. Everyone's eyes were fixed on him, no one daring to look away.
As Su Mu raised his hand, everyone's hearts lifted in anticipation.
"Su Mu, you can surpass your past self!" The Grand Elder watched with the most anxiety. He had failed to protect Su Mu when disaster struck, and he still blamed himself. He hoped only for Su Mu's rebirth from the ashes.
"Bang!"
His palm struck the Fate Palace Stone, and everyone held their breath, Su Yilong's eyes widening to catch every detail.
A faint glow began to emanate from the Fate Palace Stone, Tian Yuyue slowly stood up, her mouth slightly open, ready to announce Su Mu's Fate Palace grade at the earliest moment.
The glow continued.
