CHAPTER THIRTY-FOUR

SOPHIA'S POV

Ace's words keep replaying on my mind and I feel like I'm gradually loosing my sanity. I can't let him call off that wedding. I am so close to getting there, I am so close to becoming the wife of the most eligible youth in the country. One tiny scandal cannot ruin that for me. Mrs. Cole is adamant to do the live video that will clear Luna's name but I will not stop persuading her to do it.

Yes, I hate Luna and I enjoy the fact that she's in such a hot spot right now but I will never let her case ruin my relationship with Ace. I do love Ace, but I love his wealth and power more.

Dang it!

People literally worship me wherever I go because I am his girlfriend. I get all the attention and best customer services wherever I go, be it at the mall or beauty shop, just wherever. I am not ready to loose those privileges just yet. Even if I have to personally apologize to Luna for Mrs. Cole's actions, I would do so just so Ace doesn't call of the wedding.

I am not going to loose that man.

"Ace has the temerity to threaten me" She repeats for the umpteenth time.

"Mum I think you should just do as he has instructed"

"You think it's that easy? Do you know how degrading that will be to my reputation?" She laments. I swear right now I don't give a damn about her reputation. All I can think of are the privileges I will lose if Ace cancels that wedding.

I will lose my mind if that happens.

"But you heard him, he is going to call off the wedding if you don't do it"

"That statement takes me one day to my grave every time you repeat it. I have anticipated your marriage to my son since the day you were born"

"Then you have no choice but to do as he says" I insist and she places her palm on her forehead and exhales heavily. I know that this is difficult for her but she has to do it.

"When did Ace get this smart?, I have always had him under control but ever since he met that Luna of a girl, he has been nothing but a recalcitrant and it's driving me crazy. I wish I could just snap my fingers and make her disappear. She is such a pain in the ass" She says in rage as she walks around the living room restlessly.

"Christine, just do the video and get this matter settled. We will figure out what to do with Luna later on"

"Like hell we will, she might think she has won but she doesn't know what's coming at her. As long as I live, I will never let my son be with her or pay attention to that bastard child she is carrying" She stops pacing around and looks at me. "Sophia get me a camera, let's get this over and done with" She instructs and I quickly rush to Ace's bedroom to get his camera.

After the making the video and sending to the right sources, I leave the Cole's mansion feeling entirely blissful. The video will soon circulate, Luna's name will be cleared and Ace won't have to cancel the wedding. I'm still going to be Mrs. Damon after all. I park my car in the driveway at my apartment and when I alight from it, I notice my cousin's black Range Rover parked in the garage. I smile heartily as I walk to the door where I type my security and when the door opens, I get into the house and close the door behind me. I walk into the living room and I am immediately welcomed by a sweet aroma coming from the kitchen.

Seven is at it again. The guy loves to cook and he is perfect at it. I walk into the kitchen where I meet him chopping onions on the chopping board. I lean by the door and admire him in the apron he has over his immaculate white singlet.

I swear my cousin is such a fine man I wonder why Luna won't just take him back and leave my fiancé for me.

"Checking me out as usual?" He asks as stops chopping the onions and raises his head up to look at me. He has on his million dollar smile which doesn't fail to show his cute dimples.

Luna has no idea what she is missing.

I scoff and walk over to him.

"You wish" I say as I hug him tight. He is my favorite cousin and since I don't have any siblings, I consider him as my elder brother.

We have a very strong sibling bond.

"How are you doing cupcake?"

"Good, as a matter of fact, I'm doing perfect this afternoon" I say as I sit on the kitchen island.

"Of course you are, especially after painting Luna red on social media"

"I didn't do that, Mrs. Cole did"

"May I go blind if you weren't involved in that plan"

"Ugh Seven, you don't always have to be so accurate. Besides, that plan has back fired.

"How do you mean?"

"It didn't settle well with Ace so he asked his mother to revoke her statement else he will call off the wedding"

"What?" Seven asks aghast.

"Trust me, I was as shocked as you are right now when he mentioned it. He just took every one off guard. He gave her until six pm to do so"

"So, has she done it yet?"

"Do you honestly think that I would be here, relaxing with you if she hadn't done it yet? I bugged her all morning, besides, she has been rooting for Ace and I to be together so she had no choice but to do it"

"Cool, but you do know that Ace has feelings for Luna right?"

"I know and that's why I need you to win her back. I don't want to loose Ace to Luna. I would go crazy if that happens"

"And I don't want to loose Luna to Ace either and I was almost getting to her but then, Asher Damien Watson happened"

"Asher Damien Watson as in Asher Damien Watson the badass Attorney?"

"Exactly"

"How are they related?"

"They aren't. Asher is in love with Luna and has taken it upon himself to make sure that Luna never considers taking me back. He has even threatened to file a restraining order against me. I will not be allowed to see or even talk to Luna again."

"Knowing Asher's reputation, he is definitely going to do it. Wow! Luna lust really be feeling herself right now. You keep begging her to give you another chance with her, the best attorney in the entire country is madly in love her and has taken it upon himself to protect her and Ace, the most eligible bachelor in the country will stop at nothing to protect her reputation. She must really feel like this entire world revolves around her right now"

" I don't really care about any of that. I just don't want to lose to Ace again but given Asher's restrictions, I can't get to Luna anymore, so you need to make sure that Ace marries you"

"That is exactly what I want to happen but I swear I don't know what to expect. Ace is getting too attached to Luna and that child she is carrying"

"Then get pregnant for him" He suggests and I stare at him in shock. Eyes and mouth side open "Yeah, he is getting attached to Luna because of that child she is carrying. If you also carry his child, his attention will be divided and I bet you that he will never have second thoughts about marrying you"

"Seven, I am twenty-three years old and my career as a super model is at its peak right now. I cannot afford to mess things up"

"Sophia you are at the verge of loosing the man who made all this possible, the man who got you to where you are right now. Admit it, you are so famous right now because you are in a relationship with Ace and if you lose him, you will lose if not all but most of these privileges you have right now. So the choice is yours, take a break from modelling, get pregnant with Ace's child and completely win him over. By the time you give birth you must have been married and you can kick off from where you stopped. It is all about strategizing sis. This is what you need to do. You need to prove to Luna the she is not the only woman who can pin a man down with pregnancy. You can do this!" He encourages and I actually see some sense in it. I can heat up all this drama by getting pregnant with Ace's child and that will increase my chances of winning him back. It's quite an intriguing idea but it will cost me greatly. All my contracts will be suspended and lost if I will get to deform my body in the name of carrying pregnancy. Nine months of being pregnant is no piece of cake. I need to think this thoroughly before I make any move"

"I sill have to think about it"

"Take your time"

" I will. Meanwhile, I am famished"

"I'm almost done cooking"

"I'll just go and freshen up and join you"

"Alright then" I peck his cheek and go upstairs to my bedroom with his words not leaving my mind.

Come to think if it, all this is nothing but a soap opera. Question is, who are the villains and who are the heroes?
