Zhou Yun put down the script and said, "You’re about to wrap up filming soon, you must be eager to return home now?"

Zeng Lili shook her head, gave a bitter smile, "It’s been tough on you during this time."

Zeng Lili has been acting for many years and knows how much pressure it places on the crew to prioritize her filming schedule.

Zhou Yun: "Let’s not talk about that. I just hope your husband recovers smoothly, stays healthy, and once the surgery is successfully over, we can film together again."

Zeng Lili smiled.

She said to Zhou Yun, "Aren’t you here to discuss the next scene with me? Alright, let’s not waste time, let’s get started."

In Zhou Jianfeng’s resting room, Su Xiaoxiao sat on a chair while Zhou Jianfeng, instead of sitting properly, sat on the makeup table so he could face Su Xiaoxiao directly.

"Are you returning to school tomorrow?" Zhou Jianfeng asked.

Su Xiaoxiao nodded and said, "I must go back. I need to prepare for the graduate school entrance exams in September, and I’ve arranged to discuss with my thesis advisor which school to apply to, so I need to return early."

Zhou Jianfeng replied with a hum and suddenly laughed brightly, saying, "Once I finish filming this movie, I’ll come to see you."

Su Xiaoxiao agreed.

"You’ve been working hard lately, haven’t you?" she asked, "I noticed you’ve lost weight."

Zhou Jianfeng shook his head and said, "I’ve been working out every day, that’s all."

Su Xiaoxiao: "I saw many pretty girls in your crew."

"I haven’t said a word more than necessary to them." Zhou Jianfeng said, "Don’t overthink."

"I’m not overthinking, I just..." Su Xiaoxiao pouted.

Suddenly, Zhou Jianfeng jumped down, grabbed onto the armrest with both hands, leaned his upper body closer, assuming a rather intimidating posture as he looked at Su Xiaoxiao and asked, "You don’t trust me, do you?"

Su Xiaoxiao avoided his gaze, blushing slightly, and said, "I do trust you, anyway, you always have pretty girls around you."

"Nonsense, you’re the only pretty girl around me." Zhou Jianfeng said and then kissed Su Xiaoxiao on the lips.

Su Xiaoxiao: "..."

Suddenly, someone knocked on the door.

It was a staff member, saying the director wanted to see him.

Zhou Jianfeng said, "Wait for me, I’ll go see the director, and later tonight, when I’m free, I’ll take you out for something delicious."

Su Xiaoxiao agreed, "Go ahead, I’ll wait for you here."

Zhou Jianfeng then left.

About five minutes later, the door suddenly opened.

Su Xiaoxiao expected Zhou Jianfeng to return, and turned to look happily, but saw Jian Man instead.

"Huh? Isn’t Jianfeng here?" Jian Man said, surprised to see Su Xiaoxiao upon opening the door.

Su Xiaoxiao replied, "He was called by the director."

"Oh, I see." Jian Man didn’t leave after hearing that but came in, leaned against the makeup table in front of Su Xiaoxiao, and smiled at her.

"It’s rare for scholarly girls to be as pretty as you," she said.

Su Xiaoxiao gave a somewhat indifferent smile, saying, "Isn’t it?"

Jian Man asked, "By the way, are you and Jianfeng high school sweethearts? You’ve been together for many years, right?"

Su Xiaoxiao shook her head and said, "Sorry, we’re not that familiar. If you really want to know, wait until we’re friends."

Su Xiaoxiao’s delicate and quiet face showed a touch of calm composure.

Jian Man was momentarily stunned.

She hadn’t expected Su Xiaoxiao to say such a thing.

It was as if she bluntly said she "didn’t like her."

Jian Man gave a smile, a cold smile.

"So your attitude changes drastically when Jianfeng isn’t here?"

"Sister Jian, I’m just speaking the truth, not being rude. If there’s anything that offended you, please forgive me." Su Xiaoxiao maintained her composure.

Jian Man rolled her eyes in anger and left.

Su Xiaoxiao calmly lowered her eyes and took out her phone.
