Chapter 675 - 488: Thank You, President Yao (Part 2)

Zhou Yun looked at her suspiciously, "No, you definitely have something you want to say, spit it out."

Zheng Xiaojue then said, "Sister Xiao Yun, you are so cold to Brother Chi."

"Ah?" said Zhou Yun, "Where have I been cold to him?"

Zheng Xiaojue said, "Brother Chi called to show his concern, but you were quite impatient with him."

"..."

"Even less patient than with me," Zheng Xiaojue added.

Zhou Yun suddenly found herself at a loss for words.

On this matter, it seemed that Zheng Xiaojue wasn’t wrong.

She really had always been quite impatient with Song Chi—not because she was genuinely impatient, but because she was afraid that if the conversation continued, her willpower would crumble.

To her, Song Chi was a presence that could dismantle her resolve.

"Wait until you have a boyfriend, then you’ll understand why I am like this, so, go find a boyfriend for yourself first," Zhou Yun said.

Zheng Xiaojue let out a scream.

"Sister Xiao Yun, that’s not fair—to launch a sudden attack like that."

...

Zhou Yun rested in the trailer for a while; feeling that her condition had almost returned to normal, she got out of the vehicle.

Hou Mengjie was already directing He Xuran in another scene.

Zhou Yun walked quietly to the director’s side, not greeting anyone.

Since filming was in progress, the set was kept silent.

He Xuran sat on a stone step, his handsome face reflecting a touch of annoyance and regret.

"What’s the use of hiding here by yourself, go and apologize if not," Liu Zhikun, leaning against the wall standing, said to He Xuran seated before him, "I already told you, talk it out nicely, there’s no need to get into a fight."

He Xuran mumbled, "I didn’t want to clash with her either, it’s just that she always opposes me, no matter what I say, she disagrees."

Liu Zhikun lowered his head and laughed silently, with a somewhat strange expression on his face, as if he had something to say but remained silent.

...

Zhou Yun stood behind the director, watching the footage of the two actors on the monitor.

Not acting opposite them, more objectively observing their performances from the audience’s perspective, she had to admit that these two really could act.

Simple lines yet they both managed to convey a wealth of information in every phrase they spoke, this richness revealed through their micro-expressions.

For example, He Xuran wasn’t actually regretting why he fought with her and had the dispute, but rather regretting why he had to be petty about it. He Xuran’s character in the film is a very proud person, and a proud person naturally wouldn’t allow themselves to be too emotional, yet in front of her, he often got provoked. What He Xuran regretted in reality was his inability to control his own emotions.

Liu Zhikun was laughing because He Xuran was completely unaware why the character played by Zhou Yun always opposed him. Liu Zhikun uttered some non-provocative words, yet in fact, he was observing He Xuran’s reactions, testing whether he knew about Zhou Yun’s feelings for him. The reaction from He Xuran let Liu Zhikun know that he himself was oblivious, hence Liu Zhikun’s final expression that seemed to suggest an unsaid reservation.

Hou Mengjie shouted "Cut."

After reviewing the playback of the scene they had just filmed, Hou Mengjie nodded his approval.

"It’s a wrap," he said.

He Xuran’s and Liu Zhikun’s assistants came forward with water for them.

Zhou Yun called out to Director Hou.

Hou Mengjie turned to look at her, "How are you? Does your hand feel better?"

"It still hurts a bit, but it’s much better," Zhou Yun asked, "Do we continue filming later?"

"That last scene we should wait until your hand is better before filming, you probably can’t lift the sword right now. If you’re up for it, we’ll do another scene later," he said.

"Alright," Zhou Yun nodded.

The next scene was still with He Xuran and Liu Zhikun, but a different setting.

Everyone was busily changing locations.

Zhou Yun didn’t plan to stay on set to watch them act; she went back to her trailer to be alone.

Just as she had settled in, someone knocked on the door.

Zheng Xiaojue went to open the door of the trailer, and Zhou Yun saw that it was He Xuran.

"Xiao Yun, how’s your hand?" He stood at the doorway, looking at Zhou Yun, "Sorry, I wanted to come check on you earlier, but Director Hou had me shoot another scene, and I’m only just arriving now."

Zhou Yun knew that He Xuran didn’t mean any harm. She said, "It’s nothing, the injury isn’t severe, it didn’t reach the bone."

He Xuran seemed relieved, "That’s good then, I really apologize, it was my carelessness that caused you to get hurt."
