Chapter 380 - 193: The Top Donor’s Request—A Rideshare Driver Needed (Part 3)

Li Sheng looked terrified and quickly bowed to apologize to Yang Chen and the others.

Yang Chen laughed and said, "Alright, you guys hurry up and leave, don’t delay our meal."

Seeing that Yang Chen seemed unwilling to forgive Li Sheng, Li Jun turned around and grabbed his son’s hair, slapping him several times and then kicking him to the ground, cursing, "You’re always out there pretending! I shouldn’t have been seduced by your mother back then, otherwise you wouldn’t have been born. You still want to play with yachts, huh? I swear I’ll break your legs; let’s see if you still play after that."

"Ah! Ah! Stop hitting me! Stop hitting me! I know I was wrong!" Li Sheng cried out.

The arrogance he showed on the yacht was now completely gone.

Yang Chen waved his hand, and Pu Chunhua quickly said, "President Li, that’s enough. Disciplining the child is necessary, but you can’t beat him to death. As long as he knows he’s wrong, it’s good enough; young people always make mistakes. Let’s see how he behaves from now on."

Only then did Li Jun stop and thank him, "Thank you, Chairman Pu, thank you, Mr. Yang, and all the executives. I’m ashamed for not educating my child well."

Yang Chen said, "Considering President Li’s sincerity, let’s drop the matter. You should go and get busy, don’t bother us while we’re eating."

Li Jun quickly nodded, pulled Li Sheng, and left swiftly.

"Son, don’t blame Dad for hitting you. If we don’t smooth things over with them, our company’s products might be delisted by Longlian Supermarket, and we’d be done for. Listen to Dad, don’t mess around outside anymore. Okay?" Li Jun said earnestly.

Li Sheng nodded, feeling aggrieved and almost about to cry.

Since everyone drove here, Yang Chen and the others didn’t drink much. Over ten people shared a bottle of wine just to make a gesture.

After lunch, everyone didn’t leave immediately; they waited to sober up a bit before heading back.

Others went home, while Yang Chen went to pick up customers.

Yang Chen logged into his Bibi account and immediately snatched an order.

Following the navigation, he arrived at the passenger’s pickup location and called the passenger.

Yang Chen: "Hello, I’m your Bibi driver. I’m at the entrance of your community, do you see me?"

Passenger: "Could you drive inside, please?"

Yang Chen: "Okay, which building?"

Passenger: "Building 23."

Yang Chen: "Alright! You can come down now; I’ll be there shortly."

Passenger: "Okay! I’m coming down now!"

After hanging up, Yang Chen tried to drive into the community.

However, the guard wouldn’t open the gate, saying unregistered cars weren’t allowed to enter.

Yang Chen quickly explained, "I’m a Bibi driver, and a resident in Building 23 booked my car. I’m supposed to drive in to pick him up. Could you please do me a favor, sir?"

Yang Chen said this while handing out Hua Zi.

The guard stared at Hua Zi for a few seconds, but eventually waved his hand and said, "No, you can’t enter! It’s not aimed at you! If we let you in, residents would scold us, and our superiors would punish us. Sorry, you should call him to come down and take the car."

Seeing that he really couldn’t enter, Yang Chen stopped talking, backed up, parked on the roadside, and called the passenger again.

Passenger: "Where are you now? Why don’t I see a car coming in?"

Yang Chen: "Sorry, the guard won’t let me in. You should walk out and take the car."

Passenger: "Are you kidding me? It takes a few minutes to walk. I don’t want to walk; you must drive in to pick me up."

Yang Chen: "Buddy, the guard won’t let me in; it’s not me refusing to drive in."

Passenger: "I don’t care. If you don’t drive in to pick me up, I won’t ride."

Yang Chen: "Then cancel it."

Passenger: "Are you kidding? Damn, you’ve wasted so much of my time, and now you want me to cancel? Do you believe I’ll lodge a complaint against you?"

Yang Chen: "It’s not that I don’t want to go in, it’s that the guard won’t allow it. Can you understand what I’m saying?"

Passenger: "I understand! But that’s your problem, not mine. You can’t meet my requirement, so I won’t ride and won’t cancel either; let’s just drag it out. Anyway, I’m not in a hurry; just not sure if you are."

Yang Chen: "Why don’t you just call 120? They can carry you out. I’m canceling the order; go ahead and complain!"

Yang Chen hung up and directly canceled the order.

This clown thinks he’s an emperor while only paying a few dollars for a ride.

Yang Chen quickly picked up another order, ignoring this clown.

After dropping off another passenger, customer service gave him a call.

Customer Service: "Master Yang, a passenger called claiming you refused service. What’s happening?"

Yang Chen: "He wanted me to drive inside to pick him up, but the guard stopped me. I told him to walk out and catch the car himself. But he refused, saying he won’t ride nor cancel the order. I couldn’t just wait and had to cancel the order."

Customer Service: "Oh, please upload the in-car recording. We’ll review it and provide a resolution."

Yang Chen: "Alright!"

After hanging up, Yang Chen uploaded the in-car recording to the complaint appeal link.

Quickly, customer service replied, saying the passenger was at fault, and the complaint was not valid.

Then the system issued a notification.

"Congratulations, Master, on receiving a complaint. The system rewards Master with 100% equity in the Three-Michelin-Starred Tang Pavilion Restaurant; the equity transfer documents will be sent to Master’s home via express delivery tomorrow morning. Please be on the lookout."

Although Yang Chen had equity in Baoqing Restaurant and Peninsula Hotel, they seemed amateur compared to the Three-Michelin-Starred Tang Pavilion Restaurant.

Yang Chen was quite upset at first, but now he felt much better.
