Chapter 5 – All Attributes

A Level 1 leader monster actually has four skills; I have to say, this Wild Wolf Leader is just too overpowered.

Looking at his own lousy attributes, Chen Yuan shook his head helplessly and logged out of the game.

He was really looking forward to tomorrow's open beta. With such explosive attributes, this Wild Wolf Leader would definitely dominate the Novice Village.

Most importantly, he wanted to try and see if he could use the new game helmet to enter the game and create a character tomorrow.

Although the official announcement stated that each person could only have one helmet and one character, the broken helmet he was using wasn't even bound to Chen Yuan. This meant that his Parasite character could be anyone's as long as they wore the helmet.

And so the day passed.

The next day, Chen Yuan got up early as usual.

"Welcome to Star Domain. The open beta will start in 1 hour, 46 minutes, and 53 seconds. Please wait patiently!"

Originally hoping to see if he could create a game character in advance, Chen Yuan was disappointed and put on his old helmet.

Chen Yuan resumed his monotonous life of grinding.

This leader monster's kill speed was much faster than the elites, taking down minions with a single swipe, showing no mercy.

Sweeping through the area, Chen Yuan watched the Wild Wolf Leader mowing down his own minions with great interest.

[Ding] "System: 60 seconds until the open beta begins. Please prepare yourselves, players."

The system notification echoed in his mind. He didn't expect there was only one minute left until the open beta.

Chen Yuan quickly logged out of the game and put on the new helmet.

"The Star Domain open beta is officially starting. Welcome! Dear player, your journey in 'Star Domain' begins here."

The scene rapidly changed, from the initial starry sky to a galaxy, then to a planet, and finally to a landmass, before settling on a small village.

This small village was now packed with people, shoulder to shoulder, stretching as far as the eye could see.

At first, Chen Yuan thought this was just a game screenshot, but he quickly realized he was wrong.

It was actually a real-time game scene, complete with sound.

"Move aside, make way, you newbies! You're delaying my quest to become the world's top expert, you know?"

"Please take me along."

"Oh my god, this game is so realistic, it even scanned the pimples on my face. Ouch, that hurts!"

"Move along, those in front, do you want to kill monsters or just sightsee?"

After watching the live broadcast for a while, Chen Yuan opened the character selection screen, ready to choose with great anticipation.

"Detected that the player is already bound to another game device. This device cannot be bound again. If you need to unbind the original device, please operate on the original device.

If the original device is damaged or lost, please contact the game officials for assistance."

Chen Yuan was dumbfounded. If you can't bind, just say so earlier. Why show me all this animation?

What a waste of excitement!!

Holding the new helmet, Chen Yuan really wanted to smash it.

Chen Yuan reluctantly picked up the old helmet and continued his journey as a Parasite.

Chen Yuan regretted it so much, it really was a bug. He wished he could slap himself; a billion-dollar just slipped past his eyes.

[Ding] "System: Repair completed, repair failed! Player has not named their character, please name it!"

"Huh??"

Chen Yuan was full of questions. Should he report this or not?

While thinking, he picked a name.

[Ding] "Sorry, 'Your Handsome Guy Is Online' is already registered by another player, please choose another name!"

Chen Yuan silently put away the name "Stir-Fried Horse Meat with Dried Bamboo Shoots," saving it for next time.

Re-entering the game, Chen Yuan immediately felt the difference.

That dumb Wild Wolf was actually fighting monsters on its own, fighting monsters on its own!

Did they increase its intelligence after the open beta?

This made things much easier for Chen Yuan.

But right now, he had no time to deal with that fool.

He urgently opened the Exchange; buying weapons was the most important thing now. With weapons, he could fight monsters himself!

How delightful!

Although the server just opened, probably, maybe, there might not be anyone selling weapons yet, but that couldn't dampen Chen Yuan's enthusiasm.

But a cold shower was quickly poured on Chen Yuan, his enthusiasm rapidly dwindling.

It wasn't that no one was selling weapons.

If he couldn't kill monsters, he couldn't level up. If he couldn't level up, he couldn't equip weapons. Without weapons, he couldn't kill monsters. If he couldn't kill monsters, he couldn't level up. If he couldn't level up...

A vicious cycle, wasn't this just messing with his mindset!!

At this moment, the Wild Wolf Leader also finished off its opponent, and the system prompt changed.

[Ding] "System: Your host has defeated the opponent. As a Parasite, your All Attributes have become 1.782. When you reach Level 1, the attribute increase per level will be 178.2% of the original increase."

Chen Yuan swallowed hard. Seeing this system prompt, he didn't even care about leveling up anymore.

Is this the secret of All Attributes??

According to the system prompt, it means that if All Attributes are increased to 2, the attribute increase per level becomes 200% of the original.

Increase to 5, and it's 500%.

Increase to 10, and it's 1000%!
