They must have assumed I was dragging along a girlfriend who didn’t want to be there. At least they didn’t look at me with disgust, which was a relief.
“I-I’m the one who wanted to—” Priscilla started, but I quickly cut her off.
If I let her continue, people would just think I was some weird guy forcing her into something, but if she emphasized it too much, we’d both look strange.
No matter how I had changed my appearance, I didn’t want to be remembered like that. Plus, it’s easier for people to forget the first impression than the second.
We entered theater 12. Even though we were just a minute from the start, only one seat in the front row was taken. The woman sitting there glanced back at us and quickly looked away.
Just to be sure, I cast a detection spell. She was just an ordinary person.
