Chapter 254 - 161 Losing to her seems like losing willingly_2
Luna Miller looked angry, grabbing her hair and saying irritably, "Whatever, but hurry up, I really can’t stand being here another second."
Charlotte Miller reached out her arm to help Luna off the bed, but Luna pushed her hard. Fortunately, the driver had come in from the beginning and quickly rushed forward, reaching out his arm in time to support her as cold sweat began to trickle down his forehead.
Even when he was risking his life with Young Master Hallow before, his heart wasn’t racing this fast, just a little more and he would’ve hit the ground.
"Are you blind? Can I walk like this? Go borrow a wheelchair first." Luna yelled angrily, and if she could move right now, she would really beat Charlotte up. How could she have moved her to this godforsaken place, and now they have to change hospitals, it’s exhausting.
"Forget it, carry me out instead." Is having a human wheelchair more comfortable? Luna looked at the tall and robust driver, ordering with a commanding face—after all, he’s a servant of the Hallow Family, it’s not unreasonable for her to order him around, is it?
For such matters, Charlotte didn’t even need to speak; the driver picked up Luna and followed Charlotte out of the hospital room.
"Charlotte, don’t play tricks on me, otherwise I will never let you go." Luna recalled how Charlotte threatened to ignore her, wondering if Charlotte really dared to do so.
Charlotte smiled bitterly to herself, what tricks could she play? She had spent all her intelligence confronting Atlas Hallow, would she need to play tricks on Luna? Though Luna had a bad temper and poor habits, she really didn’t have much brain capacity. Speaking this way about her own sister seemed neither polite nor respectful, but she felt it was indeed the truth.
The city had the best private women’s hospital, and since Luna’s issues were all gynecological, Charlotte had the driver head to the women’s private hospital. At the hospital, the driver continued to act as a human wheelchair, carrying Luna inside and settling her on the sofa in the private hospital’s lounge, while Charlotte handled the paperwork in the lobby.
"Is there anything I can help you with?" The nurse at the reception desk had a sweet smile, and even her voice was pleasant and melodious.
"This is my sister’s medical record. I’d like her to continue her treatment here." Charlotte handed over Luna’s previous medical records from the hospital and looked around. The environment here was indeed very nice, clean and quiet, and due to the expensive fees, there weren’t many patients. She had already checked online; the conditions here were the best, and there were plenty of vacant rooms today.
"Sure, let me enter the details for you. Please fill this out first." The nurse handed over a beautifully printed contact card, asking Charlotte to write her relationship with the patient and more than two contact methods.
Before the nurse finished the data entry, the phone at the reception rang: "Please hold on a moment, I need to take this call."
Charlotte smiled and nodded, continuing to fill out the details about herself and Luna.
She didn’t hear what was being discussed on the phone, but she subconsciously noticed the nurse’s mouth opening wide in surprise, muttering a few words absentmindedly like, "Alright, got it," before hanging up the call.
"Miss Miller, you don’t need to fill that out. Our rooms are fully occupied today, and we can’t accommodate new patients." The nurse still spoke with a smile. Charlotte looked up at the nurse, "But I checked on your hospital website, and there were vacancies available today."
She couldn’t understand why they suddenly claimed there were no beds available. If there weren’t any, why was she asked to register earlier?
"I apologize, I’m not sure myself." The nurse was also puzzled; there clearly were rooms, so why wasn’t this patient being admitted?
Charlotte bit her lip, and then it hit her.
It was Atlas Hallow, it had to be him...
She knew the man she married was formidable, but she didn’t realize he could wield such influence.
Standing in the hospital lobby, Charlotte’s face grew increasingly somber. After a few minutes of daze, she walked toward Luna, instructing the driver to stay with Luna for a while. Perhaps after an exhausting morning, Luna’s face looked worse, and she couldn’t muster the energy to curse at her anymore.
Charlotte knew it wouldn’t help to change to any hospital unless she dealt with Atlas Hallow. She believed no hospital in the city would accept Luna as a patient without resolving the issue with him.
