Chapter 37

Jean Verodine

“Okay, That’s a wrap!” The director said and we clapped our hands. We’re happy that it’s all set. We’ve been shooting for this for hours and now it’s time to go home.

“I’m tired.” Nicole said as we walked to the waiting room together.

“I need some sleep, 6 hours standing with heels and bikini drowning my energy.” Charlotte said as she plopped on the sofa with me.

“Now, we can go home and rest.” I said chuckling as I saw my friends were completely K.O. I got up from the sofa and changed into my casual clothes. I removed my make up and let my hair down.

“Bye!” I hugged Nicole and Charlotte before going out.

“See you nect week!” Charlotte said and I waved at them nodding. I walked out from the studio planning to get an uber to get home since I’m too lazy to bring my car.

“Ms. Verodine.” I flinched and turned my head. I saw one of Blake’s car there and a chauffer.

“Blake send you?” I asked since I recognized Blake’s car.

“Yes, miss. Mr. Samuel sends me.” He said as he smiled politely.

“Call me, Jean. Don’t be too formal. What’s your name?”

“Aston, Miss. I mean Jean.” He chuckled and I smiled.

“Nice to meet you, Aston. So let’s go.” I got into the car and Aston started the car.

“Uhm, Ms. Ver- I mean Jean, we’re going somewhere else. Mr. Samuel wants me to drive you there.” He said and I raised my eyebrows.

“Where?”

“I’m sorry but I’m not allowed to tell you.” He said and I nodded.

“Okay then.” I started to think about special dates. Today is not Blake’s birthday nor mine. Don’t tell me that I forgot about special dates. I took my phone out to make sure Blake’s birthday is not today. No it’s not Blake’s birthday, then what?

“Blake” I said as he picked up the call.

“Hey beautiful.”

“Where do you want me to go?” I asked.

“Jean, it’s a surprise. I can’t tell you.”

“Oh… okay…”

“I’m taking you somewhere but I want you to go home first. Take a shower since you had a long day and then I brought you a dress for you to wear later on. You have 1 hour sweetheart, can you do that?” He said and I smiled.

“Of course.”

“See you later on then.”

“Okay, Bye.” He ended the call first and I started to wonder what kind of surprise that Blake prepared.

As soon as I arrived, I ran up to the room and went straight to the bathroom. I stripped myself and took a shower. I’m so excited that I’m so hype. I forgot that I had a really tiring day.

I walked out from the bathroom in my towel and saw the big blue box. I walked to the bed and opened it. There’s a beautiful long white dress, I dried myself and put the dress on. I looked at myself at the mirror and damn it’s georgous. The sleeves reached my elbow and the leight of this dress lands an inch below my knee.

I quickly put my make-up on and dried my hair real quick. I straighten my hair since it shortens a lot of time. I put on my white stilettos and took my black clutch out. I put my small purse, phone, lipstick and my earphone inside. I walked down the stairs and got into the car with Aston again.

“jean, you have to wear this.” He gave me a blindfold and I looked at it confuse. What is Blake planning? I put on the blindfold on since Blake was the one who ask for it.

Aston started to drive and now I’m anxious waiting. I’m damn nervous. What is Blake planning?

“We’re here, Jean. I’ll help you to get out.” Aston said and I waited for him. I heard the door beside me being open and Aston helped me get out from the car.

“Good evening, Ms. Verodine. I’m Madison and I’m going to escort you to Mr. Samuel. You can’t open the blindfold just yet.” She said since I almost took it off.

“Okay.” She held my arm and we walked somewhere.

“We’re entering the lift, Ms. Verodine.” She said and I nodded. I felt the lift stop and we walked out from the lift. Madison stopped me and turned my body to the right.

“Ms. Verodine, I want you to count to 3 and then you can open your blindfold.” She said and I nodded.

“You can start now.” She said and I started to count from 1 to 3. I opened my blindfold slowly and my eyes widen when I saw a lot of candles on the ground forming a path. I walked slowly and can’t help but feel excited. Rose petals were spread everywhere on the floor along with the candles. I realized that I’m on the top of the Empire State again.

I was lead by the candles to go to the outside of the Observation deck. I saw Blake at the end of the candle path. I can’t help but walk faster towards him.

“Blake” I called and he turned his body to me. He smiled widely and walked to me.

“Hey, baby.” He gave me a peck on my lips and I hugged her briefly. He held my hands and looked at me seriously.

“Remember that you left me after spending time here?” He asked and I chuckled since his tone was funny.

“I’m sorry.”

“I realized that you really mean to me here and you left me without any words the next day. That broke my heart.”

“I’m sorry.”

“Jean Naline Verodine.” He said my full name and I raised my eyebrows.

“My beautiful, Jean. At first, I thought love was already died from my life but you came making me experience what love is. It was unpredictable that we went through that sudden tough times together. I’m so so grateful to have you to walk pass that tough times together. I love you so much, Jean Verodine.” I smiled to him and he let go my hands.

Blake suddenly kneeled in front of me, I gasped. He took out a black velvet box from his pocket and looked up to me.

“Jean, I love you so so much. Everyday with you will always so exciting for me since you always give me a tons of fun things. I love to see your smile, I love to see you the very first thing in the morning, I love to cuddle you until you sleep, I love how you always worry about me and everything. I love everything about you. I promise you that I will make you happy and I promise I won’t stop loving you forever. I want you to be with in my life journey together. Jean, will you marry me?” He popped the question and I was tearing up. He opened the small box revealing a really beautiful diamond ring.

“Yes! Definitely a yes!” I answered and he kissed me right away. I wrapped my arms around him and kissed him passionately. I love him so much.

“I love you too.” I said to him and he chuckled. He put the ring on my ring finger. He kissed the back of my hand and hugged me again.

“Gosh, I love you so much.”I love you too, Blake.. a lot.

Chapter 37 – Marriage

“How’s your butterflies?” My mom asked and I can’t help but a nervous laugh. I’m so happy today but also nervous at the same time. Me and Blake have our wedding in Greece with only our family and friends.

I held my hands together and looked at the mirror. I kept sweating because I’m nervous. What if I trip on my wedding dress? That’s not cool. What if I drop the ring? That will be so embarrassing.

Today, I’m wearing a beautiful off-shoulder wedding dress, with a lacy detailing all over it. It’s really beautiful because it’s simple and elegant at the same time. Alexis helped me to pick this dress.

My hair was pulled into a bun and the make up was really light. Everything is so perfect and I can’t believe that today is my wedding day. Marrying the man I love has always been my dream.

“You okay?” Lexy entered the room with her beautiful soft pink dress. I chose her as my bridesmaid since she’s my one and only bestfriend. She agreed right away and I warned her about Sebastian. He’s Blake’s bestfriend too so of course he will come.

I miss Lexy so much and I’m glad that she comes. She said ‘I’m chicks before dicks kind of girl’, I laughed because of that.

“Hey princess, it’s time.” My dad entered the waiting room and I nodded. He walked to me and held my hand.

“Don’t be so tense.” Lexy chuckled. We walked out from the waiting room and waited for the announcement.

“I can’t believe that I’m sending my daughter to another man.” He said and I smiled to him.

“Oh daddy.”

“If he hurts you, tell me. I’ll kick his butt.” My dad said and I laughed.

“I will note that.”

“Remember that you’re always my little girl and my princess and I’m the king to your heart.” He said as he pointed at my heart.

“Of course.” Suddenly it’s our time to enter the venue. I walked out to the outdoor venue. The guests all stood up and turned to me but my eyes went straight to Blake. He looked at me and he smiled widely.

“I trust you with my daughter, Blake.” My dad said as he handed me to Blake. I chuckled.

“Thankyou, Wesley. Don’t worry, she’s my whole life now.” Blake held me tightly.

“You look so breathtaking.” He said and I smiled.

“You look hot.” I winked.

“You all may be seated.” The priest announced.

"Blake and Jean, no other human ties are more tender, no other vows are more sacred than these you are about to assume. You are entering into that holy estate which is the deepest mystery of experience, and which is the very sacrament of divine love." The priest said and he turned to Blake.

"Blake, will you have Jean, to be your wedded wife, to live together after God's ordinance in the holy estate of matrimony; will you love her, comfort her, honor and keep her, in sickness and in health, and forsaking all others, keep yourself only for her so long as you both shall live?"

"I will." Blake answered and smiled to me.

"Jean, will you have Blake to be your wedded husband, to live together after God's ordinance in the holy estate of matrimony; will you love him, comfort him, honor and keep him, in sickness and in health, and forsaking all others, keep yourself only for him so long as you both shall live?"

"I will." I answered.

We exchanged rings to each other and I can't contain my joy. The butterflies in my stomach just flies everywhere.

"For as much as Blake and Jean have consented in holy wedlock, and have there to confirmed the same by giving and receiving each one a ring; by the authority committed unto me as a minister of the Church of Jesus Christ, I now declare you husband and wife, according to the ordinance of God. In the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen." The pastor said and held the both of our hands.

"Ladies and Gentleman, may I presented to you Mr. and Mrs. Samuel. You may kiss the bride." Blake smirked and pulled me for a kiss. The kiss is really sweet and slow. The guests clapped their hands.

"I love you damn much." Blake said between kisses.

"I love you more, Mr. Samuel." I circled my arms around him and he hugged my waist tightly.

"You're making me crazy each day, Mrs. Samuel" He said.
