Chapter 1402 - 1442: The Little One Is Missing Again
"I don’t know either, but trust that Dad will handle it, and he will definitely protect An’an." Shangguan Yu could only say this.
The little one didn’t ask anymore, lowering his head obediently to eat.
When Shangguan Yu left, he held Jun Moyan’s hand and said, "An’an is smarter than most kids. He understands a lot but not completely. If he doesn’t ask and you don’t tell, he can only see the surface and then let his imagination run wild. His understanding of you is all through his own eyes. Even if you don’t have the energy to communicate with him, at least don’t show a fierce side in front of him, to avoid leaving a bad image of you as a father in his heart. You should be able to feel that An’an is a little afraid of you, but he actually wants to get close to you. It’s you who’s unwilling to pay attention to him. If this continues, An’an will have psychological problems."
"I understand your situation. I’m not asking you to be as good as other fathers, but at least be competent, and at least be worthy of An’an calling you ’Dad’."
After Shangguan Yu said this, he left.
Jun Moyan stayed alone for a long time. In the evening, he went to the little one’s room, thinking he was already asleep, but unexpectedly he wasn’t.
As soon as he sat down, the little one opened his eyes, his bright eyes like glass marbles looking at him.
Jun Moyan turned on the light.
"Did Dad wake you up?"
The little one shook his head, didn’t speak, and then closed his eyes again, behaving very obediently.
"An’an," Jun Moyan called him.
The little one opened his eyes again, looking at him. He prepared to sit up, but Jun Moyan stopped him.
"In the future, if someone at school bullies you, you must tell Dad. If others hit you, you must learn to fight back under the premise of protecting yourself, but you must not run away like today, where Dad can’t find you, okay?"
Jun Moyan patted the little one’s head.
The little one nodded obediently.
"Sleep now." After saying this, Jun Moyan got up to leave.
Just before turning off the light, the little one suddenly called him.
"Dad."
Jun Moyan looked at him and asked, "What’s up?"
The little one sat up halfway, looking at him, clearly wanting to say something, but in the end, he just shook his head and said, "Goodnight, Dad."
He lay back down and closed his eyes again.
Jun Moyan watched him for a while, then turned off the light and left.
The next day
The little one didn’t go to kindergarten. Jun Moyan let him rest at home for a day, and Jun Moyan stayed home with him too.
Jun Moyan took a picture book and spent a rare morning with the little one, helping him recognize words, draw pictures, and tell him small stories from the illustrations.
When the little one was still babbling, Jun Moyan often held Wen Xiao’ai’s photo or these picture books to talk to him and do some early education.
Later, before he turned two, he gradually stopped doing it.
Doing this again after more than a year, he found it awkward and difficult, even telling those little stories sounded stiff.
The little one was only in the small class and didn’t have homework, so there was no opportunity for Jun Moyan to help him with it.
"Dad, you can go do your work. I want to watch some cartoons by myself." The little one suddenly said.
Jun Moyan looked at him, thinking the little one was tired and really wanted to watch cartoons, and didn’t think much of it, failing to notice the little one’s low mood.
He turned on the TV for the little one and then went upstairs to his study.
When Xiaocha called him for lunch, he left the study and went downstairs, but the little one was nowhere to be seen on the sofa.
The picture books were tidily organized.
"Where is An’an?"
He thought the little one was already in the dining room.
"Could he be upstairs in his room? I thought the young master was with you, Third Master." Xiaocha said.
Jun Moyan didn’t say anything and went back upstairs to look.
He also thought the little one went back to his room, but he wasn’t there.
"An’an?" He called several times, getting no response, and the room was empty.
