Chapter 1369 - 1408: Jun Moyan: Xiao’ai Is in Poor Health

Chapter 1369 - 1408: Jun Moyan: Xiao’ai Is in Poor Health

Shangguan Yu watched Jun Moyan wiping the little kid’s mouth and started doubting his own life for the past twenty years.

He awkwardly took two paper towels and cleaned up what the little kid had spat on Jun Moyan’s shoulder.

After Jun Moyan finished wiping the kid’s mouth and tears, Shangguan Yu asked, "Hey Jun, we’ve been buddies for over twenty years, just be honest with me, is there something wrong with my face, or is it my taste?"

Jun Moyan glanced at him: "Neither."

"Then why did he look at me and puke?"

"An’an just drank milk; it’s normal to spit it up."

An’an had just drunk some milk; he shouldn’t have held him in that position and even patted his back.

"Is it normal? I bet if it wasn’t for me, he wouldn’t have spat it out so quickly." Shangguan Yu doubted himself.

Even Xiaoguai, the cat, obviously treated him differently, let alone the little kid, who pukes upon seeing him.

"Did you come to see me for something?" Jun Moyan took a moment to ask.

He had seen him rush in just now.

"No, I have a day off today, thought of visiting you at your office. Then I bumped into someone — maybe a director or manager — who said you haven’t been to the office for a few days, so I came looking for you."

As Shangguan Yu spoke, he picked up a little toy to play with the kid.

The little one who had just cried held a grudge, ignoring him, grasping one of Jun Moyan’s fingers with a little hand, refusing to look at Shangguan Yu.

"This little one is holding a grudge against me, I just held you once and disrupted your appetite, now you won’t even look at me."

Shangguan Yu noticed that Jun Moyan’s Wu Garden is indeed a place blessed by feng shui; a cat is exceptionally clever and even this newborn is quite shrewd.

"Hey, how old is An’an now? When was he born?"

Shangguan Yu remembered to ask.

"Five months."

"So it’s been five months and you only brought him back now?"

Jun Moyan didn’t reply.

Shangguan Yu looked at the little one and then at Jun Moyan and finally couldn’t help but ask, "What’s going on with you and your wife? You’ve been acting strange since you came back; I was worried about you, thinking something was wrong. Yet, not only are you okay, but you’ve even got a son! Such a joyful thing, why make it seem so frightening?"

Jun Moyan stayed silent for a moment before saying, "Xiao’ai isn’t feeling well."

Shangguan Yu was taken aback and suddenly quieted down.

He probably figured out what happened.

"Is it because of having An’an?"

Is it why Jun Moyan seemed worried all the time, why An’an was brought back so late, and why Xiao’ai hasn’t returned due to health reasons?

Jun Moyan didn’t want to elaborate, not wanting to complicate matters. Now, he’s just Jun Moyan, father of An’an, husband of Xiaoguai, and as for everything else, it’s over.

Now he only wants to take care of An’an and wait for Xiaoguai to return.

Shangguan Yu accepted this thinking, so let it be.

Seeing Jun Moyan’s tacit agreement, Shangguan Yu finally felt relieved having understood some of the situation.

Jun Moyan had been absent for over a year, and in the three months since he returned, Shangguan Yu hadn’t had a good night’s sleep. Now that he understood, the burden on his heart was lifted.

As for what Jun Moyan did during his year of absence, he wasn’t willing to tell, and Shangguan Yu didn’t need to pry deeper.

Shangguan Yu raised a hand to pat Jun Moyan’s shoulder, comforting him: "It’ll be alright. I know many renowned experts; I’ll have someone find them for you from anywhere."

Actually, Shangguan Yu wanted to ask, why didn’t Jun Moyan stay by Wen Xiao’ai’s side if he was so worried.

There are still many things he doesn’t understand.
