Chapter 453: Overpowered Wolf
Chapter 453: Overpowered Wolf
Rowena simply stared at the flaming clone in silence, her gaze alternating between it and the real Miranda, until Miranda spoke.
"I’m going to go check on that thing. Keep an eye on those guys."
Rowena immediately nodded in understanding, placing a hand on the back of Miranda’s flame clone and infusing it with powerful life energy, so much so that it began to radiate an intensity similar to the real Miranda, enough that it wouldn’t be immediately recognised as a clone unless closely examined.
"Perfect," Rowena muttered with satisfaction as she stopped her energy infusion. "Now, none of them would know it’s not the real you."
Miranda then concealed all traces of her power, looked at the flaming clone, and nodded in satisfaction before ordering,
"Let me know if any of them make a fishy move."
Rowena silently nodded in understanding, and Miranda’s body erupted with purple flames as she vanished from Zanerth-O1 with the Supremes none the wiser.
She headed straight to the Orilan Realm, where Argent was, but since she was hiding the fact that she wasn’t in Zanerth-O1, she didn’t go toward Volarth, its capital, instead moving to a far, distant region of the realm filled with galaxies that had barely any planets suitable for life, none of which had been terraformed by the Argent Empire.
Miranda had just crossed around the midpoint of one of those galaxies when she suddenly descended onto a dry, rocky planet, then extended her right hand and summoned a halberd.
Purple energy flowed into the weapon, its tips erupted with flames, and she spun around instantly, swinging the halberd with full force and unleashing a wave of cosmic fire that burned through several layers of spacetime, erasing thousands of planets and stars in that nameless galaxy in the process, all just to tear away the concealment and reveal the five existences hiding within it.
"!"
What?!
We were noticed...
All of them reacted in surprise at Miranda’s sudden action, releasing their cosmic energies to defend against her flames, and Miranda, turning around calmly, spun her halberd and planted it against the ground beneath her feet.
She studied them calmly, noting their grey skin and bodies wrapped in a faint grey mist that distorted the surrounding universal law energy flow, and then nodded to herself.
"So Richard and Olivia were right. There really are some of you with Cosmic Realm levels of power."
She was completely calm despite facing 5 existences on the level of Superior Supremes, and seeing that reaction, the Herald at the centre roared out in fury.
It doesn’t matter even if she found us! Take her down and complete her mission!
This loud Herald had fiery red hair that literally burst into flames as he roared loudly.
Deconstruction of Fire!
His muscles bulged as a burst of grey energy erupted from his body, and without waiting to coordinate with the others, he shot forward from his position at full power, space bending around him as he crossed the distance instantly and threw a single punch straight toward Miranda’s face.
The moment his fist connected, the grey energy within it detonated outward in a massive expanding wave that flooded the surrounding region with destructive pressure, the grey fog spreading through everything in its path and erasing the planet Miranda had been standing on.
It went on to consume the star system it was part of, space warping under the force of the impact until all nearby celestial bodies were destroyed, leaving only vast darkness broken by light from distant stars thousands of light-years away.
And within that darkness, the Herald’s eyes widened, his expression darkening as he registered what he was seeing before him.
Miranda was exactly where she had stood before, completely unharmed and unmoved, her glowing blue and purple eyes meeting his gaze through the emptiness as she raised an eyebrow and said,
"Really? That’s it?"
!!
The man’s face contorted in rage the moment he registered the disappointment in Miranda’s voice, but before he could even voice it, his vision went white, followed a fraction of a second later by the delayed realisation of pain that hit his body as his senses caught up with what had already happened.
Miranda’s fist had already punched straight through his torso, obliterating the left side of his body and leaving a gaping hole where grey fog spilt out uncontrollably, while violet flames rapidly spread across what was left of him, burning through his body and destabilising his entire existence.
Dictum of the Violet Inferno.
Miranda poured more power into her arm, then twisted her fist and declared,
Infernal Shockwave.
A wave of purple fire erupted outward from her fist, not only blasting the Herald directly in front of her away, but also catching the other 4 who had attacked her in that same instant and hurling them in different directions through space.
The spread out flames rapidly condensed behind one of the Heralds, and Miranda emerged from that mass of condensed fire, her right hand closing around the back of his head, while her other hand locked onto his shoulder.
Her nails extended into claws as wolf ears formed atop her head, and with pure brute strength, she began pulling in opposite directions, forcing his head and shoulder apart as cracking sounds echoed throughout his body.
The Herald reacted reflexively, reaching back to grab her wrists, while releasing a burst of grey fog from his body in an attempt to destabilise her hold and break free, but it was all futile.
Miranda continued pulling apart, but suddenly her eyes widened, and she released the Herald without hesitation, hurling him away into the spreading remnants of violet flames while forming a halberd of fire in her right hand.
She swung it to her right with all her strength, just in time to intercept a massive sword that erupted from the darkness and came slashing directly toward her neck.
The collision released a shockwave that spread outward in uneven bursts, shaking the surrounding space and scattering the remaining violet embers and grey residue into broken streaks of light that faded into the darkness.
The pressure from the impact distorted the airless vacuum around them in widening rings, forcing the surrounding space to buckle under the pressure.
Miranda’s eyes narrowed slightly as she met the glowing eyes of the fully armoured figure wielding the sword that had suddenly attacked her, pouring more cosmic energy into her arms to enhance her strength and push back against him.
However, grey symbols suddenly lit up on the armoured figure’s arms, and their strength instantly increased to a point where Miranda was overwhelmed, and the figure poured all that strength into their blade, knocking Miranda back through space at incredible speed.
Miranda spun uncontrollably, knocking away one of the other Heralds as she tore through space, before finally slamming into a rogue planet’s gravitational field.
Cosmic energy flowed through her, and she regained control of her body, flipping and landing with her feet on the planet’s surface, digging a several-kilometre-deep crater into its crust.
"I use my werewolf powers...and I was still overpowered?"
A loud whoosh followed, and the armoured figure appeared behind her, sword raised high and glowing with grey symbols as a deep True Voice echoed.
You were unharmed. As expected of a creation of that Witch.
The sword came down faster than light, closing the distance in less than a nanosecond, but Miranda spun around in time to block it with her halberd, the resulting shockwaves completely erasing the planet between them.
Black lightning crackled from the armoured figure’s body, while Miranda released violet flames in response, the clash of their energies warping space and time across multiple dimensions around them.
