Chapter 1129: Gods in Hell

Chapter 1129: Gods in Hell

The three Paragon-level attacks descended like a storm of destruction.

Their combined power shook the entire Eighth Layer of Hell, sending tremors across the frozen plains and shattering massive glaciers. The shockwaves rippled through the land as the attacks tore downward with unstoppable force.

Most importantly, they succeeded in carving a massive hole that pierced all the way into the Ninth Layer of Hell.

Simply teleporting into the final layer would have been extremely dangerous. The last realm of Hell was unknown territory, and stepping blindly into it could have meant walking directly into a trap. By opening a physical breach instead, the Lords of the Six Sun Alliance could at least see what awaited them on the other side.

Or so they had hoped.

Things were not that simple.

A thick, dark fog covered the upper reaches of the Ninth Layer, forming a dense miasma that obscured the land beneath it. Even the Quantum Eye struggled to pierce through the haze from a distance.

The Lords of the Six Sun Alliance exchanged solemn glances before nodding.

Vlad, the Antimatter Doppelgänger controlled by Overlord, and the White Death stepped forward first. The remaining Lords followed closely behind them, each pushing their aura to its absolute limit, ready to unleash their power at a moment’s notice.

They soon entered the dark miasma.

Their bodies tensed, every instinct screaming that danger could appear at any moment. Yet, to their surprise, they crossed the fog without encountering any attacks.

Then, at last, they emerged on the other side.

And the sight before them left them stunned.

The Ninth Layer of Hell had always been described as a land of extremes. Legends spoke of frozen oceans filled with titanic monsters trapped beneath ancient ice, and forests of living flame that stretched across entire continents. It was said to be a realm of darkness and majesty, home to the strongest legions of devils in existence.

A place filled with impossible phenomena and treasures beyond imagination.

Yet even the most extravagant description could not have prepared them for what they saw.

The realm truly was vast and diverse, just as the stories claimed. But what captured the attention of the Lords of the Six Sun Alliance was something far more shocking.

Across the massive landmass stood enormous golden kingdoms.

They were magnificent and radiant, cities of divine architecture that glowed with overwhelming bursts of Divine Power. Their golden towers rose toward the sky like monuments of heavenly authority, spreading across the Ninth Layer like shining suns.

"Divine Kingdoms?" Merlin muttered in disbelief. "There are Gods in the Ninth Layer of Hell?"

His confusion was understandable.

Gods and devils were natural enemies.

Of course, the conflict between them was not a simple matter of good and evil. While devils were inherently malevolent beings, many gods were just as cruel, if not worse.

The true source of their hatred was souls.

Gods relied on the souls of their believers to strengthen themselves and expand their Divine Kingdoms. Devils, on the other hand, constantly schemed to corrupt mortals and drag their souls into Hell, where they could eventually be reborn as new devils.

Their goals were fundamentally incompatible.

Seeing the two powers working side by side should have been impossible.

But the shock did not end there.

Vlad focused the power of his Quantum Eye toward the Divine Kingdoms. The moment his perception pierced into the radiant cities, waves of shock flooded his mind.

The beings ruling those kingdoms were not ordinary gods.

They were Angels.

"Heaven!" Vlad shouted.

The True Depravita of Wrath immediately understood what that meant.

He had known that Heaven and the Archangels would not remain silent after the massacre he had carried out. He had been preparing for their retaliation for a long time, setting countless defensive plans in motion.

Even so, he had never imagined they would go this far.

Not only had Heaven allied with Hell—they had established Divine Kingdoms inside the Ninth Layer itself.

There was no time to think further.

The next moment, millions of devils surged out from the Divine Kingdoms.

Their bodies glowed with corrupted Divine Power as they rushed toward the Lords of the Six Sun Alliance. The army was so massive that it looked like a living tidal wave sweeping across the sky, driven by nothing but suicidal killing intent.

The cannon fodder alone was not a serious threat.

But they were not alone.

Angel Gods also began to emerge from the Divine Kingdoms, flashing forward with terrifying speed. Their bodies radiated Divine Power, yet their aura was tainted by the essence of Hell—an unnatural fusion that made them even stronger than normal divine beings.

Vlad, Overlord, and the White Death exchanged quick glances.

If they unleashed their full power and burned through their energy reserves, they could annihilate the entire incoming horde.

But doing so would come at a price.

It would exhaust Vlad and the White Death, while draining the antimatter doppelgänger so heavily that it might vanish entirely.

And worse, they were certain this was not the enemy’s full strength.

Paragon-level opponents were almost certainly hiding somewhere, waiting for the perfect moment to strike.

The antimatter doppelgänger’s eyes glowed for a moment before Overlord spoke through it.

"Work in pairs. Focus on the Lords," he ordered. "Do not risk your lives. Protect yourselves at all costs."

His voice echoed with absolute authority, making it clear that disobedience was not an option.

Then he turned his gaze toward Vlad.

The True Depravita of Wrath nodded before pulling back, ascending to the highest point in the sky. Once there, he clasped his hands together.

"Heaven’s Gate!"

A massive golden gate manifested behind him, radiating overwhelming divine brilliance. The gate slowly opened, and countless golden portals appeared around it.

From those portals poured a torrential rain of divine weapons.

Spears, swords, halberds, and countless other sacred armaments descended like a storm across the battlefield.

Individually, they were not powerful enough to threaten Lords.

But they were more than sufficient to weaken the massive hordes of devils charging toward them.

And thanks to the Eye of Gluttony, Vlad could replenish his energy almost as quickly as he spent it.

Under the relentless rain of divine weapons, Overlord and the White Death surged forward.

Behind them, the Lords of the Six Sun Alliance followed without hesitation.

The battle for the Ninth Layer of Hell had begun.
