Chapter 1113: The destruction of the Xaos Kingdom

Chapter 1113: The destruction of the Xaos Kingdom

The instant the two Devil Paragons crossed the skies of Terra, the world reacted.

Deep beneath the surface, countless energy pathways—painstakingly carved into the tectonic plates of the planet—began to glow. Streams of energy and Divine Power surged upward, weaving through space-time itself. The air thickened around Beelzebub and Baal, turning viscous, as though they were forcing their way through molten plasma that resisted every movement.

The duo could not hide their surprise.

Terra had ascended to the Higher Dimension less than a century ago, yet it was unleashing power on this scale. Such growth was unnatural.

But rather than discouraging them, it strengthened their resolve.

Everything the Xaos King touched seemed to grow stronger. That was precisely why he had to be broken—no matter the cost.

Their Paragon auras erupted violently, pushing back against the oppressive field as they forced themselves forward.

Yet the thickening of space-time was only the beginning.

High above, stars began to shine in the daylight sky.

Baal’s eyes narrowed.

Those were not stars.

They were mountain-sized fireballs forged entirely from condensed Divine Power, descending like celestial judgment.

A frown appeared on both Devils’ faces.

The meteors were not true threats—not to Paragons. But they would slow them down.

And time was the one thing they did not possess.

The Xaos King was undoubtedly burning his life force and soul force to return to Terra. At most, they had a couple of minutes before he arrived.

They could not afford any delay.

Baal roared, swinging his spear in a wide arc. Gravitational waves burst outward, warping the surrounding space and crushing into the falling meteors. One after another, the massive fireballs were blasted aside, diverted from their descent.

At the same time, Beelzebub unleashed torrents of temporal force. Time itself froze around several of the divine meteors, suspending them midair. He slipped past the immobilized masses before they resumed their fall behind him.

They were burning energy at an alarming rate, but their speed surged to terrifying levels.

In a couple of seconds, the golden silhouette of Xaos City appeared on the horizon.

Their killing intent intensified.

But the moment they focused on the city’s center, both Devils’ expressions turned solemn.

Above the massive tower at the heart of the metropolis, a colossal golden sun of Divine Power had formed. It radiated blinding brilliance, forged from the faith of the Xaos Kingdom.

The golden sun pulsed—and then released a gargantuan cannon of energy directly at them.

The beam carried unmistakable Paragon-tier power.

Beelzebub and Baal’s eyes widened.

Even Hell—a realm that had existed for eons—struggled to forge formations or treasures capable of reaching such heights. How had the Xaos Kingdom accomplished this?

What they did not understand was the wisdom of the Overgod and the purity of the Xaos Faith that fueled the formation.

But there was no time to ponder.

Even if the golden beam could not kill them, it could grievously injure them and hurl them back.

That would mean failure.

The two Devils exchanged a glance and nodded.

Their life force ignited.

The damage they would suffer from such reckless expenditure might exceed what the golden beam could inflict—but this was not about preservation.

It was about momentum.

"ARGRHHHHH!"

Their roar shook the heavens as their souls erupted with power. Gravity and time intertwined around them as they smashed directly into the descending pillars of golden energy.

The collision triggered an explosion that reverberated across the entire world.

Shockwaves tore across continents. The earth split open in vast chasms, swallowing entire cities. Though Terra was strong, its laws could not fully suppress the raw force of a Paragon-tier clash.

Gravity distorted. Time fractured.

The Devils pushed forward inch by inch, roaring as their powers clashed against the ocean of Divine Power.

At last—

The golden beam shattered.

High above Xaos Tower, the radiant sun fractured, cracks spreading across its surface before it exploded into fragments of fading light. The tower itself trembled, fissures racing down its structure.

But Beelzebub and Baal did not stop.

They continued their charge.

Yet Terra was far from finished.

From the city below, millions of warriors rose into the sky.

They were the forces left behind—those not yet ready to march into the battlefields of Hell and the Abyss. Individually, they were nothing more than ants before Paragons.

And yet—

Their eyes glowed.

Their life force burned.

Their souls ignited as one.

Through a vast runic formation spread across the Xaos Kingdom, their energies connected. Millions fused together under precise guidance, forming colossal runic incarnations of power.

Beelzebub and Baal’s eyes widened as dozens of gigantic runic creatures manifested—phoenixes wreathed in golden flames, hydras with countless heads, titanic dragons, and other mythical beasts shaped from pure faith and sacrifice.

Each radiated Peak Lord-tier power.

Of course, the Devils could see the truth. Every warrior fueling those incarnations was being burned alive from within. Their lives were the price.

But what mattered was the result.

The runic incarnations roared and lunged forward, madness and resolve blazing in their eyes. They had already accepted death. Their only goal was to delay the invaders.

The Devil Paragons frowned.

Destroying the incarnations would not be difficult.

But again—

Time.

They could not afford a prolonged battle.

There was no room for restraint.

Their power erupted once more.

Beelzebub’s claws warped time itself as he tore through the first phoenix, shredding its temporal structure. Baal’s spear struck like a falling world, gravitational waves crushing a titanic dragon into fragments of fading runes.

They abandoned defense entirely, allowing retaliatory strikes to tear into their bodies as they pressed forward with brutal efficiency.

They would break through.

Even if it meant tearing themselves apart in the process.

An explosive battle erupted the next instant as the Runic Incarnations clashed with the two Devil Paragons.

The sky ignited.

The earth shattered.

Shockwaves of unimaginable force spread across countless kilometers, ravaging the land. Xaos City had been built to endure Lord-Tier battles, but Paragons operated on an entirely different level. The residual blasts that slipped past the battlefield defenses tore through walls, reduced buildings to rubble, and unleashed escalating waves of destruction that claimed countless lives.

It was devastation on a scale that defied description.

And it all unfolded in less than forty-five seconds.

That was the time it took for Beelzebub and Baal to rip apart the Runic Incarnations.

When the final phoenix dissolved into fragments of fading runes and the last dragon collapsed into ash-like light, the two Devil Paragons hovered in the air, breathing heavily.

It was not the incarnations themselves that had exhausted them.

It was the price they had paid to maintain their momentum.

They had been burning their own life force and soul force to accelerate the battle, refusing to allow even a single second of delay.

When they had analyzed this operation, they believed that the moment they arrived on Terra, everything would end swiftly. In their minds, a kingdom that had risen less than a century ago could not possibly mount meaningful resistance against Paragons.

They had been wrong.

And it was not over.

The sky glowed once more.

But this time, it was not golden light filled with Divine Power.

It was something darker.

More ancient.

More grotesque.

The illusion of blue skies faded, revealing the truth above Terra—the Nightmare Universe.

The monstrous dimension surrounding the world opened like a colossal maw.

From within it, countless corrupted god-weapons began to fall.

The Nightmare Universe was an extension of the Overlord. Because they shared the same soul, it could activate the power of Heaven’s Gate—though at an immense cost. Yet its vast vitality and soul force allowed it to bear that burden.

Beelzebub and Baal’s eyes widened as they saw the rain of twisted divine weapons descending.

Blades, spears, halberds, and constructs of warped celestial metal tore through the firmament like a storm of judgment.

The Nightmare Universe clearly did not care about collateral damage.

If destroying the city meant stopping them, it would not hesitate.

Worse still—

The two Devils felt spatial fluctuations in the distance.

The Xaos King was approaching.

The fact that he had not yet arrived was already surprising.

If they were halted now, the mission would fail.

"GO!" Baal roared.

He burned his life force without hesitation, even drawing upon streams of his soul force as he unleashed all his power toward the heavens. Gravitational waves erupted upward, colliding with the descending god-weapons and blasting them aside in violent explosions.

He would clear a path.

Beelzebub did not hesitate.

He shot forward like a streak of distorted time itself, his fist surging with temporal force as he hurled a devastating punch toward Xaos Tower.

The structure, already cracked from earlier clashes, shattered under the blow.

Fragments of golden stone and divine inscriptions rained downward.

Amid the destruction, Beelzebub’s eyes narrowed.

A woman was blasted from the collapsing tower, crashing violently into the ground below.

He recognized her instantly.

The True Depravita of Lust.

Freya.

A cold light flickered in his gaze.

At that same moment, the sky trembled violently.

A figure manifested above the battlefield.

The True Depravita of Wrath had arrived.

For Beelzebub, time seemed to slow.

Determination blazed in his eyes.

He burned his soul.

The flow of time around him screamed in protest as he forced it to bend.

In that infinitesimal fraction of a second—

Before Vlad could fully descend.

Before space could stabilize.

A tearing sound echoed across the battlefield.

Beelzebub vanished.

And then—

He appeared behind Freya.

His claw pierced through her back.
