Chapter 289: The Grand Celebration Of Asgard

Chapter 289: The Grand Celebration Of Asgard

Although Phobos have taken the important force of Shadowforge Army, still few of them were present there.

Sharky turned toward his daughter, standing calmly beside him, her eyes gleaming with curiosity and controlled power.

"Maria," he asked gently, "do you also want to show off, what you’re capable of?"

"Yes, Dad," Maria’s face lit up with joy, her hair momentarily turning light gold as she nodded eagerly.

"Then go," Sharky smiled. "Eliminate the remaining invaders."

Without hesitation, Maria’s body shimmered with a burst of cosmic flames, her small form levitating as flashes of golden fire spiraled around her.

In a single blink, she vanished, moving with such blinding speed.

Screams echoed briefly through the air as crimson fire erupted across the enemy ranks.

Each step Maria took turned the ground into fire, and invaders into ash.

In under three minutes, silence returned.

Maria floated back, her feet landing gently before her father. Her hair, now returned to black.

"Nobody’s left, Papa! I was fast, right?" she said.

"Yes, you did good, and you were very fast," Sharky nodded, as he patted her head.

She became so happy, hearing the praise.

Odin, looking at the scene, sighs with relief, he knew, this is far from over.

But then, since Skarn had fallen, he was happy. And announced joyfully through the palace halls.

"The palace will be under repair until next week. In the meantime, I will hold a ceremony to celebrate the end of the battle with the Skarn on that day. Everyone will receive the merit they deserve!"

The anticipation among the Asgardians was palpable, as they wondered who would be recognized for their valor and who might face demerits.

Odin, despite his age, couldn’t hide the twinkle in his eye as he contemplated the upcoming ceremony. He was well aware of the contributions of each individual and their role in the victory.

As the days passed, the citizens of Asgard tirelessly worked on the repairs, eager to restore their beloved palace to its former glory.

They prepared for the grand ceremony, where merits would be bestowed upon those who had stood valiantly against the Skarn and his Shadowforge Army.

Amidst the ongoing repairs in Asgard, Sif Valor gives a tour of the Asgard realm to her husband Sharky and their curious two-year-old daughter, Astrid, cradled in Sharky’s arms.

They strolled through the golden halls, Sif took pride in showcasing the heart of Asgard’s power and history.

Their first stop was Odin’s Vault, a secure chamber nestled within the palace. "This is Odin’s Vault. It once housed the Eternal Flame, a source of boundless power."

Astrid peered wide-eyed at the wonders around her, her small hands reaching out in fascination.

Then she shows him the Hall of Heroes, a place of reverence within Asgard.

"Statues of legendary warriors and heroes stand tall, immortalized for their valor in service to Asgard. Each statue tells a tale of sacrifice and bravery. That’s why this is called the Hall of Heroes."

She recounted stories of epic battles and noble sacrifices.

She then shows him the Asgardian Vault, which is guarded by formidable forces, it houses artifacts of unimaginable power.

"Within these walls rest treasures like the Tesseract, holding the essence of the Shard of Space, and the Casket of Ancient Winters, harboring the chilling power of frost."

"Here lies the Lake of Shadows," Sif explained, gesturing towards the tranquil body of water that reflected the celestial beauty of Asgard.

The trio then ventured into the breathtaking Waterfall Gardens, where waterfalls, lush greenery, and vibrant flowers adorned the landscape.

"These gardens provide a peaceful atmosphere for the inhabitants of Asgard."

They explored the Waterfall Gardens, Sif led them to a particularly intriguing sight—a few of the remaining Pegasus.

Sharky couldn’t help but marvel at their otherworldly appearance. The creatures exhibited coats with unique colors, ranging from shades of silver, white, to black. Their wings spread majestically.

"These Pegasus were once companions to the Valkyrie," Sif explained with a touch of nostalgia. "But after enduring countless wars and losses, some of the Valkyrie departed Asgard. These Pegasus share a deep bond with their Valkyrie riders, possessing an innate understanding that allows for seamless coordination in battle."

She continued, "The Pegasus can fly, soaring through the skies with agility and speed. Their wings carry them across realms swiftly, covering vast distances. What makes them truly remarkable is their magical resilience."

After exploring them through Waterfall Garden, Sif led them to the Observatory.

"This is the Observatory. The magnificent structure offers a panoramic view of the solar system, providing a vantage point for studying the Nine Realms and its phenomena."

Later, she brought them to the Royal Gardens of Asgard, maintained and adorned with exotic flora, vibrant colors, and intricate designs.

Leading them to a secluded corner of the Royal Gardens, she revealed a secret place not accessible to everyone. "This is a place of utmost significance."

"As Odin’s daughter and a beloved member of the royal family, every corner of Asgard is open to me. Now also to our family."

In this secret haven, she showed them the Yggdrasil, an immense ash tree that spanned the cosmos.

"Yggdrasil serves as a conduit between the realms, its roots extend into the Nine Realms, while its main tree stands tall in Asgard. It represents the interconnectedness of all things, allowing travel and communication between realms."

After the Valor family absorbed the wonders of the Royal Gardens and the sacred presence of Yggdrasil. They ended their journey after visiting the Golden City and Birnin Zana.

Later, Sharky goes to Sif’s bedroom, after he has toured over all of Asgard, and they are ready for the next day’s event. Since Asgard was completely repaired.

---

The scars of the recent conflict have been healed, and the Golden City once again gleams in all its splendor.

Sun dipped below the horizon, casting a warm golden glow upon the fully repaired Asgard. The residence of the Asgardian royal family, including Odin, Thomas, Frigga, Sif and Loki, now also Astrid, stood there.

Tonight, it was adorned for a celebration that would echo through the Nine Realms.

The Great Hall of the palace, a place that had witnessed historic events and regal declarations, was transformed into a resplendent venue for Odin’s Grand Ceremony.

Banners bearing the emblem of Asgard adorned the walls, and ethereal lights illuminated the grandeur of the space.

The last time such a grand festivity had taken place was when Odin had announced Thor’s ascension to the throne, a few years ago, just before Thor’s death.

Now, the hall echoed with anticipation, ready to host a celebration that would surpass even the grandeur of past events.

This time, Odin’s vision for the Grand Ceremony was twofold. It not only celebrated Asgard’s resounding victory over the Dark Elves but also aimed to showcase Asgard’s power and prestige to the Nine Realms.

And since the ambassadors from distant realms were present there, it was a good opportunity for show off. The guests gathered in their regal attire.

The hall, resounding with celestial melodies and the clinking of golden chalices, awaited Odin’s proclamation.

Odin, seated on his regal throne, began the momentous task of acknowledging and rewarding the valiant heroes who had stood against the Shadowforge Army.

"First, I want to acknowledge Loki’s achievements," Odin declared with a tone of gravitas that held the attention of all present.

"In the dire times of the Shadowforge’ attack, he fought with unwavering courage. Therefore, he is hereby absolved of all charges for which he was convicted."

Hearing the announcement, many of them become puzzled. However, Loki, standing among the assembly, wore a triumphant smile.

His meritorious deeds had earned him not only freedom from charges but also a place of honor in the eyes of Asgard.

"Second, Volstagg, Hogun, and Fandral will also receive the Guardian of Light Medal," Odin continued, shocking the assembled guests.

The highest honor bestowed by Asgard to a war hero, marked by a golden sword and a silver badge, was now set to adorn the valiant trio. This distinction granted them the privilege to pass through the gates of the Nine Realms unimpeded.

And he also gave a few other Asgardian the Guardian of Light Medal.

Murmurs of surprise and approval rippled through the hall.

Odin proceeded to the next and most impactful announcement. "Thomas, who has taken over my son Thor’s legacy, also participated in the battle. And achieve great merit."

"He has achieved the defeat of the Shadowforge Army and the salvation of the Nine Realms, and has restored balance in many places."

A hushed silence fell over the hall after hearing Odin’s words. And they continuously hear his announcement.

"For this, I will allow him, that his mortal lover Jane Foster will from now on be an Asgardian."

"No, one can see her as disdain, if I hear from someone, they will be punished."

Thomas, though surprised, felt a sigh of relief within him. Allowing Jane to become a citizen of Asgard, was a very big move from Odin.

For this, he was happy. But still, he has decided to return to Earth.

Odin also bestowed some Guardian of Light Medals to Ethan and Maria for honoring their valiant efforts in defeating Skarn’ army, as they were Sharky’s son and daughter.

Sharky, however, didn’t seek the spotlight and had no need for recognition because his capabilities were evident to all. Odin turned his attention to the unsung hero who had played a significant role.

"Next, I want to introduce someone who deserves more honor than anyone else during the Dark Elves Invasion! She played a significant role in defeating the Skarn!"

Odin’s voice carried a charismatic resonance as she lifted little Astrid high in his hands. The Great Hall, filled with Asgardians and distinguished guests, fell into a hushed silence as all eyes turned to the toddler in Odin’s embrace.

Astrid didn’t fully grasp what was happening but giggled in her grandfather’s embrace.

Most people didn’t know the extent of the achievements of her.

"Now, I present to you Astrid Valor," Odin proclaimed with pride.

"Daughter of Sharky Valor, a brave man from Midgard, and Sif Valor, my daughter. She is my granddaughter, still a baby, yet she wields the power of fire in one hand and the power of ice in the other."

The grand proclamation stirred a murmur of astonishment through the hall. A wave of confusion swept over the assembly.

Odin continued, "With these powers, she defeated Skarn and safeguarded the Nine Realms from all future dangers posed by him."

Odin’s praise echoed through the hall, and as the citizens of Asgard absorbed the revelation, a swell of admiration and awe for the youngest hero in their midst filled the grand chamber.

With the resounding recognition bestowed upon Astrid, there seemed to be no obstacle hindering the young princess from attaining the prestige Odin envisioned for her.

This acknowledgment echoed the ancient traditions of Asgard, where warriors who triumphed over formidable adversaries were elevated to legendary status—a legacy that Odin himself had inherited from his father, Bor.

"She is a living miracle and the future Queen of Asgard," Odin proclaimed with a sense of fulfillment. Although, before today, Odin hesitated to make Astrid, Queen of Asgard, since she is a girl.

But after the Skarn’s attacked. He decided that Sharky’s daughter will be a good choice for Next Ruler of Asgard.

After all, Sif is also his own daughter, there is no hesitation in making Sif’s daughter the next ruler of Asgard.
