Amber suddenly shivered, the coldness on her face dissipating a bit, replaced by an awkward expression.

She looked up, only to see Wu Chang's plate hadn't been touched much.

Realizing Amber's gaze, Wu Chang smirked, unafraid of offending anyone, and gave a thumbs up, saying:

"The cook can turn a meal into this, he's practically committing a crime. Someone who can swallow this stuff is a true sinner. This stuff is too awful to eat; tonight, when we get home, I'm making a grand meal."

After finishing, he said to Amber:

"Does this kind of food suit your taste? Children are still growing; if you're still hungry, you can eat my share too."

Now red, Amber truly blushed.

She tightly clenched her fist, experiencing for the first time the urge to actively attack someone.

If it tastes bad, just don't eat it, why didn't you say so earlier?

When lunch ended, Wu Chang and Erin took the hiccuping Amber outdoors to sit down, Wu Chang inquired:

"Before those few times, were they like this time, all trying to kill you?"

Wu Chang calmly said, "Don't take action yourself next time."

Amber lowered her head, remaining silent.

As expected, adults are all the same.

Wu Chang continued, "Attend class properly, don't skip class; leave the rest for me to handle."

She didn't understand why; maybe it was because she had agreed to Wu Chang, or maybe believing Wu Chang could truly help her free herself from everything, break through the predicament.

Halfway through the course, she suddenly felt the classroom become quiet, the teacher's voice ceased.

Cautiously raising her head, she saw the teacher still writing content on the blackboard, yet turned and stared fixedly at her.
