Chapter 287 - : 287 : Can We Come In?
All eyes in the infirmary snapped toward the other bed.
Flora Dawnveil lay on the other bed—her once-pristine crimson uniform reduced to bloodied tatters. Bandages wrapped her torso, one arm, and part of her thigh, but they did little to hide the damage Ethan had inflicted. Her blazer was gone; only the shredded remains of her white blouse clung to her shoulders, the front torn wide open. A black lace bra strained heroically to contain her obscene breasts—massive, pale, heaving with every breath, rose-vine tattoos curling around the deep valley of her cleavage like possessive lovers. Her pink hairs were disheveled, rosebud horns cracked. Yet somehow—she still looked dangerously seductive.
She lifted her uninjured hand and gave a lazy, sultry wave.
"Heyyy there... babe..." Her voice was hoarse but dripping honey. "You made quite a mess of me."
Ethan blinked—only now realizing she was there.
He smirked—tired but sharp.
"Hi."
Liana’s head whipped around so fast her hair slapped Ethan’s cheek.
"You bitch!" she shrieked—voice cracking with protective fury. "Stop flirting with my brother!"
She hugged Ethan tighter—cheek smushed against his chest, arms locked around his neck like she could physically shield him from Flora’s gaze.
Flora laughed—low, throaty, unbothered.
"He’s just so hot... I can’t help myself~"
Liana hissed like a feral cat—nails digging into Ethan’s shoulders.
"Back off, flower slut!"
Ethan’s left arm—still wrapped around Mee’s waist—slowly slid lower.
His fingers dipped beneath the hem of her skirt—unseen by the others—palming the soft, plump curve of her ass cheek. He squeezed—firm, possessive—thumb brushing the sensitive crease where thigh met ass.
Mee’s entire body jolted.
Her eyes widened—cheeks flaring crimson.
She didn’t dare move—didn’t dare make a sound—but her breath hitched audibly.
Ethan’s smirk deepened.
He leaned in—lips brushing her ear.
"You’re so soft here," he whispered—voice velvet and filthy. "Bet you’re already wet just from me touching you."
Mee whimpered—barely audible—thighs clenching instinctively.
"You pervert..." she breathed—voice trembling with embarrassment and heat. "Move your hand away, Kee..."
He squeezed again—harder this time—fingers digging into the plush flesh.
"Make me."
Mee’s face burned hotter—she buried it against his neck, muffling a tiny, mortified moan.
Flora watched the entire exchange with gleaming pink eyes—licking her split lip slowly.
"Anyways..." she drawled—voice sultry despite the bandages and bruises. "What are you? That hand of yours... those markings... it looks just like a demon’s."
Silence fell.
Every pair of eyes in the room locked on Ethan’s right hand—the black, jagged tattoos still faintly pulsing with inner crimson light.
Ethan lifted the marked hand—turned it over—watched the shadows writhe beneath the skin.
"Don’t know yet," he said simply. "Feels... permanent."
Flora propped herself higher—breasts jiggling noticeably—smile turning hungry.
"Mmm... permanent power. Sexy."
Liana snarled—hugging Ethan tighter.
"Shut your mouth, plant whore!"
Flora giggled—then winced as the motion tugged her wounds.
"Feisty little sister. I like that."
Ethan’s fingers flexed on Mee’s ass—giving one last possessive squeeze before sliding his hand back up to her waist—safer territory.
Mee exhaled shakily—still flushed scarlet—whispering so only he could hear:
"You’re impossible..."
Ethan kissed the top of her head—soft.
"You love it."
A sudden knock on the door made everyone freeze.
"Ethan..." Aiden’s voice came through—low, calm, carrying that unmistakable edge of authority. "It’s me. We’re coming in."
The door swung open.
Aiden stepped inside first—Selvara clinging to his right arm like a lifeline, her wings half-folded, pale eyes still wide from whatever she’d sensed during Ethan’s awakening.
The room went quiet.
Flora’s gaze immediately locked on Aiden—pupils dilating.
She licked her lower lip—slow, deliberate.
"Another hot man..." she muttered to herself—voice husky, dripping lust. "Mmm... what a buffet."
Selvara’s wings flared—possessive—her grip on Aiden’s arm tightening.
Aiden ignored Flora completely.
His blue eyes fixed on Ethan—then on the black markings still covering his right hand and forearm.
"Something awakened inside you," Aiden said—statement, not question.
Ethan smirked—tired but cocky.
"Looks like it."
Aiden stepped closer—Selvara moving with him like a shadow.
"You good?"
Ethan flexed the marked hand—watched the tattoos ripple.
"Better than good."
Liana—still latched onto Ethan—glared up at Aiden.
"Could you do this later. My brother needs rest."
Aiden raised one brow—amused.
"He looks fine to me."
Flora laughed—hoarse, delighted—wincing as it pulled her wounds.
"Ohhh... I like the tall one. He’s got that ’I’ll ruin you and you’ll thank me’ energy."
Selvara hissed—wings snapping wide.
"Watch your mouth."
Flora smirked—unfazed.
"Jealous, demon winged girl? Don’t worry... there’s enough of him for everyone~"
Aiden didn’t even glance at her.
His focus stayed on Ethan.
"Those marks... they’re stable?"
Ethan nodded—flexed his fingers again.
"Yeah. They’re... part of me now."
Mee—still curled against Ethan’s left side—looked up at Aiden.
"He’s still my Kee," she said—quiet but firm. "Just... stronger."
Aiden’s gaze softened—just a fraction.
"Good."
Flora—still lounging on her bed—licked her lips again.
"Mmm... Child Of Prophecy."
Everyone ignored her.
Suddenly Ava stood up—chair scraping softly against the floor—her cheeks already blooming a furious shade of pink. She smoothed her skirt with nervous hands, took one shaky step toward Aiden, then froze when every pair of eyes in the room turned to her.
She fidgeted—fingers twisting together in front of her waist—voice barely above a whisper.
"H-hi..." She swallowed hard, eyes flicking up to meet Aiden’s blue gaze before darting away again. "I’m... I’m Ava. It’s—it’s an honor to finally meet you, Lord Aiden."
Silence.
Then—Selvara’s grip on Aiden’s arm tightened like a vice. Her wings gave a single, sharp flutter; violet eyes narrowed into slits.
Aiden, however, only smiled—that slow, maddening, predatory curve of lips that made hearts stutter and knees weaken.
He stepped forward.
Aiden stopped right in front of Ava—close enough that she had to tilt her head back to look up at him.
He lifted his right hand and gently placed the tip of his index finger beneath her chin.
Ava flinched at first—then froze as he tilted her face upward with the lightest pressure.
Her breath caught audibly.
Aiden’s voice dropped—soft, velvet, addictive—like warm honey poured directly into her ears.
"It is also an honor for me..." he murmured, "...to meet such a beautiful lady like you."
Ava’s face went from pink to scarlet in half a second. Her lips parted—soundless. Her tail gave a tiny, involuntary twitch behind her.
"R-really...?" she breathed—voice trembling, shy, hopeful. "You... you think I’m beautiful? You’re not... not disgusted that I’m a demon...?"
Selvara growled low from Aiden’s side—wings flaring slightly.
"Don’t mix My Lord with those filthy humans."
Ava flinched—hard—eyes dropping instantly.
"S-sorry... I didn’t mean to—"
Aiden didn’t let her finish.
He leaned in closer—close enough that Ava could feel the warmth of his breath against her cheek.
"Really," he said again—voice even softer now, almost intimate. "You’re beautiful."
His thumb brushed once—feather-light—along the line of her jaw.
Ava’s knees wobbled.
Her tail curled tightly around her own leg—like she was trying to anchor herself.
"I—I’ve heard so much about you from my Master..." she whispered—voice cracking with nervous excitement. "She say you’re... powerful. And kind. And... and handsome..." Her blush somehow deepened. "I... I wanted to meet you. To see if... if her stories were true."
Aiden’s smile grew—just a fraction—dangerously charming.
"And?" he asked—tilting his head slightly. "Are they?"
Ava’s eyes flicked up—wide, shining—then down again.
"They’re... more," she breathed. "You’re... more."
