Chapter 619: Your Good Days Are Over!
Chapter 619: Your Good Days Are Over!
Seeing the gun and feeling his life threatened, An Hanyi was so scared he wet his pants.
Upon hearing from An Feng about his sister, his An Family, his panic-stricken heart was as stimulated as a roller coaster.
He quickly realized, however, that the woman before him was not his mother.
The terror and fear in his eyes slowly faded, but his body still couldn’t move.
Yet as long as it was a person and not a ghost, the initial fear wasn’t there anymore.
But the thing pressed against his chin was indeed threatening his life.
"Who, who are you?" An Hanyi asked, feigning bravery.
An Feng twisted the hand holding the weapon and struck his face with the other end of the gun.
She sneered, "You little punk! Though I don’t want to admit it, you have to call me Aunt!"
"Aunt!"
Hardly had An Feng finished her sentence before An Hanyi opened his mouth to call out.
His voice was urgent, with a hint of ingratiation.
An Feng narrowed her eyes slightly, carefully examining this middle-aged man, seeing fear, cowardice, calculation, and treachery in his eyes.
Truly, he was worlds apart from the An Mingji she met during the day.
The person before her was really unworthy of being an An Family member.
The warmth in An Feng’s eyes completely receded, and she smirked, "You angered my sister to death, drove Mingji out of the house, letting him suffer humiliation and hardship outside. You really are a heartless uncle. How could you betray my sister, such a kind person?"
The reason she regarded An Mingji differently was that her sister entrusted the An Family heirloom to that child, showing he was worthy, or else her sister wouldn’t have let him keep it.
As for An Hanyi, she could see through his evil and wicked nature with a glance.
"I didn’t! Don’t listen to that brat; he’s an ungrateful wretch. Who in the village doesn’t know he steals and lies? He’s stolen buns from the neighbors, and even grabbed food from children. He even—"
"Slap!"
An Feng cut him off with a slap across the face.
"Shut your mouth!"
Her anger stemmed firstly from An Hanyi’s reckless words, and secondly from knowing the hardships An Mingji endured, feeling pity for that child.
An Mingji hadn’t concealed from her the challenges he faced over the years. He admitted that he had taken food from others when he was starving.
Since living with Gu Jin these past years, being financially better off, he had already repaid the things he once took.
An Feng pointed the gun at An Hanyi, saying coldly, "You beast! Worse than a pig or dog! He was driven to that point because of your heartlessness! These years, you’ve been occupying your dead brother’s house, living off what my sister left behind. Surely, you’ve been comfortable, but today your good days are over!"
"Bang!"
As her words fell, An Feng pulled the trigger amidst An Hanyi’s terrified and fearful expression.
The gunshot rang out, followed by a piercing wail.
"Ahhhh!!!"
The dark aura around An Hanyi dissipated with the sharp pain in his leg.
He clutched one leg, writhing on the ground in agony.
His leg was pierced by a bullet, the scent of blood quickly spreading as bright red blood flowed on the ground.
Yet, despite the commotion in the An Family courtyard, the surrounding neighbors remained blissfully ignorant.
Because she disliked blood, An Feng put away her weapon and nodded at Allen beside her, "Clean up the mess, I’ll be waiting outside."
An Feng didn’t think what she did was wrong; apart from her sister, she cared for none of the An Family.
