Zaire's story launched on RR!

Date: June 13th, System Year 440 (approximately thirteen years ago)

Cenelle smiled warmly at the sound of the front door opening. It was late afternoon, and the sun poured into the kitchen window, spilling across the stone counters. She hurried to finish rinsing the last of the dishes, the gentle splashing of water masking the soft footsteps. It had been a long, exhausting day, and she really didn’t feel like casting Water again. If she worked quickly, she could –

“Mama!”

“Hello darling,” she replied absent-mindedly, scrubbing the final plate. Finally satisfied, she pulled it from the sink and set it aside. With a tug, she pulled the drain stopper free and the water began to swirl down and away. The Tier 2 Earth Mage turned towards her son with a smile, drying her hands on the kitchen towel before scooping him up in a hug.

“Mamaaa!" Zaire squealed as she spun him around before giving him a kiss on the forehead.

“Put me down! I saw a stranger! Two strangers! Did you make dinner? It smells good!"
