Chapter 391: As long as Alexander lives, the galaxy shall know no chaos

White Clothes, with a sense of awe, exclaimed, "Terrifying civilization, terrifying creativity, terrifying intelligence! What’s even more frightening is that a civilization composed of weak individuals can possess such immense cohesion."

"But I don’t understand!" she coughed out blood, the long sword specially prepared for her proving effective. Even as a guardian, she couldn’t withstand the horrific obsession of trillions of people, especially after leaving her main field to enter the Horror World.

She had held on until now only because of her unwillingness to yield and her lingering doubts: "You went to great lengths to turn Black Clothes and the others against me, even to kill me. But what does it accomplish?

Knowing the existence of my father, you should understand we are merely symbionts, or parasites, born from the forbidden that my father derived. Compared to him, we are insignificant.

Even if I die, new guardians will soon be born from the forbidden Mist you speak of. Do you really think this virtual spiritual world can stand against my father? There are nine chess pieces, and eight have fallen. What about the last one?"

This was the part White Clothes found most incomprehensible. No matter the effort put into this virtual world, which indeed seemed powerful and even managed to lure them without revealing any flaws, it was, after all, just the emanation of the spiritual power of ten trillion federation citizens.

Compared to the Underworld River, spanning a million miles, it was insignificant.

"Cutting through the Underworld River? It’s like controlling a finger or an even smaller part of a colossal titan. What harm can it do to the entire titan? And yet, these insignificant beings are so confident. What does the last chess piece represent, and why are they so confident?"

"You’ll see soon enough!" Alexander smiled faintly, waving his hand.

The space around them began to blur, and the entire world, including mountains, rivers, lakes, and seas, along with everyone except the guardians, started to become illusory, like a mirage.

The world floated in the radiant starry sky, hovering above a gigantic black river.

Around it stood nine towers, comparable to planets, shining like true stars, standing like lighthouses above the black river. The mirage-like world covered half the galaxy, enveloping a vast expanse of the Underworld River.

Buzz!

The black river, as if sensing the truth, began to stir. Countless black beetles erupted in frenzy, voraciously attacking the ghostly world and the nine towers formed by Ghost Energy.

In the center of the virtual world, on the giant water screen, the final chess piece slowly landed on the board.

Alexander’s gaze turned towards the nine towers.

"Alexander, the Nine-Star Marshal of the Galactic Federation, assuming control of the Horror World!"

In the next moment, countless streams of light surged into Alexander’s body, with the entire world’s energy frenziedly pouring into him.

White Clothes watched this incredible surge of Ghost Energy, surpassing even Ghost Honors and Ghost Saints, and murmured, "Is this it? Even with all this Ghost Energy, it’s still insignificant compared to my father."

However, Alexander was unconcerned about his skyrocketing power. He turned to the others, now ethereal like him, and said, "It’s time! Su Rong, Annie, Terence... Hand over the contracts to me."

Instantly, Su Rong, Black Stocking Annie, White Stocking Annie, Sam, Terence, Asfur, Edward, Richard, and Full Moon--

Nine individuals who were the true natives of the Horror World, neither generated by programs nor controlled by citizens from the real world, but genuinely formed from boundless spiritual energy – appeared.

They were the original holders of the nine divine positions.

Initially, these nine, vying for divine status, had divided the Horror World and signed the ghost slave contracts with all the ghosts. The ghost slave contract was incredibly powerful, making all signed ghosts entirely subordinate to their ghost master.

It was this contract that had allowed Alexander to take direct control of Su Rong’s Instance, becoming the first and only ghost master among the Chosen Ones.

Now, as Alexander commanded, a ghost slave mark appeared on the foreheads of all nine.

Not only the contracts between them and Alexander but also those signed with all the ghosts of the Horror World emerged, flowing towards Alexander’s hand, coalescing into a massive black sphere.

Subsequently, in the virtual world covering a vast expanse of the Underworld River, numerous Xiao fish emerged, converging into black Ghost Beads. Each Ghost Bead, shining brightly, covered a hundred miles of Mist. These beads represented ownership of instances in the virtual world and could control them.

Normally, Ghost Beads, being part of the virtual world, wouldn’t affect the Mist of the real world, even if the world was built from spiritual power.

However, White Clothes and others, in pursuit of the devouring system, had not only entered the Horror World themselves but also continually used it to absorb Ghost Energy and separate Mist.

The refined Ghost Energy, pure power, was directly consumed by the black beetles composing the Underworld River, unable to mix with anything else.

The forbidden energy, separated but not refined by the black beetles, merged directly into the white mist, fueling the terrifyingly rapid expansion of the virtual world.

The Horror World, after all, wasn’t purely a program; it had evolved to a point where it could exist independently of the nine towers.

However, no matter how it evolved, as long as it didn’t completely break free from the control of the towers, the original rules set wouldn’t change, such as the right of a ghost master to actively use its power!

Alexander raised his hand, and instantly, dense Mist from all directions was drawn towards him, rapidly converging around him and into the black sphere in his hand. The Mist was so thick it almost solidified, causing the black beetles devouring the virtual world to screech and flee.

"You... you’re trying to control the entire Mist world! Damn it!" White Clothes exclaimed in disbelief, realizing something crucial and cursing aloud as she gave up maintaining her physical form.

She finally understood why Alexander was so confident, how he planned to confront the Underworld River, and why he had kept her alive in a half-dead state instead of delivering a final blow.

It wasn’t that Alexander wanted to boast or see the despair on his enemy’s face. He needed her alive! As long as White Clothes lived, she was the controller of the Mist, and in her weakened state, she posed no threat to the Mist world.

The Mist itself had no intelligence, only instinct.

But if White Clothes died and other guardians were betrayed or had their authority usurped, the Mist, capable of spreading throughout the Underworld River, could instantly coalesce a new controller.

However, her realization came too late. Even though she stopped trying to sustain herself, the long sword began to supply her with energy, keeping her alive but powerless.

In a few breaths, the black river within sight was devoid of Mist. In Alexander’s hand, a white longsword appeared.

The countless black beetles in the Underworld River, sensing something, began to change direction. The black river, spanning starry skies and countless galaxies, started to flow backward!

"The game is set, the nine pieces have fallen. To the entity in the depths of the stars, I, the Nine-Star Marshal of the Federation, invite you to receive my sword!"

Alexander declared, lifting the sword with both hands and striking it down towards the massive black Underworld River.

The colossal sword, unadorned yet illuminating the cosmos, made the entire star field dim.

Amid the black void, only this sword that spanned galaxies shone brightly. Even the brightest stars seemed like mere fireflies compared to it, and countless stars shattered in its wake.

In this corner of the universe, the entire star field seemed to be cleaved by this one strike.

In the vacuum of space where sound should not exist, a sword cry that split the heavens and earth resonated through the cosmos.

The gigantic black Underworld River, a million miles wide and stretching across the universe, was severed by this single strike.

The black river within sight was cut into two segments – one extending into the endless space, the other hanging between the galaxies.

With a tremendous roar accompanied by an endless white mist spreading across the galaxy, the sword exploded, transforming into a white fog spreading through the cosmos.

"Today, the Horror World is renamed the Second Starry Sky, with me as its ruler, guarding this realm!" Alexander’s voice was more brilliant than the shattering stars, echoing throughout the universe.

The severed portion of the Underworld River, suspended in space, saw its black beetles burst one by one with the passing sound waves, scattering ghost energy, or rather spiritual energy, across the stars.

With a gentle touch, the nine towers exploded, and the scattered ghost energy reassembled into an even larger world, resembling another universe, enveloping the entire galaxy and several neighboring star systems within its boundaries.

Surrounding this universe was a barrier of milky white mist. Black Clothes, Purple Clothes, Blood Clothes, and the other seven guardians merged into the white mist, safeguarding the barrier.

Su Rong, Annie, Terence, and the original nine divine position holders returned to assist Alexander in constructing the Second Starry Sky.

Time flew by, and after countless years, a world thousands of times larger and more splendid than the Horror World was formed.

It contained bizarre dimensional worlds, vibrant mythical realms, prosperous urban landscapes, and eerie supernatural environments.

Each world was a planet, all evolved from spiritual energy rather than programmed constructs, representing a true spiritual civilization.

All citizens of the Federation were eligible to enter, to adventure, enjoy a second life, or even strengthen their spiritual power, transcending the bounds of ordinary humans.

This was a world entirely composed of spiritual energy, under the absolute control of Alexander.

As the Second Starry Sky was established, Alexander’s voice echoed once again through the endless cosmos: "The Second Starry Sky is established! I vow to guard the people of the Milky Way.

As long as Alexander lives, the galaxy shall know no chaos! To those who dare to offend the vast universe... be vanquished!"

...

The End.
