In my opinion, this is a fun and light novel, filled with banter and irony about all these clichéd trash novels, but there seem to be "experts" gathered here who are discussing character development, plot development and other bullshit with hellish seriousness! Phe! My rating is 4/5!

was ok for about 90 chapters as a persiflage of some cliches, then the author decided it's too good and cr###d on it. so it became totally unreadable

I don't get why someone would despair when they transmigrate into the body of an arrogant young master who will insult the main character and become a stepping stone, when all of this could be avoided by just ignoring the main character. Most arrogant young masters no matter how annoying, tend to have lots of potential and connections, some things a transmigrant can take advantage of, instead of whining and worrying about the main character you haven't even met yet. And if by some bad luck you transmigrate after the young master has already gotten on the bad side of the main character, just do the manliest thing possible; admit your mistakes (even though they weren't technically yours, but since you're inheriting everything the young master owns, including his money and items, you can't complain when you inherit his burdens as well) and apologize, compensate the guy with some money or items, and there, problem avoided 🤷‍♂️. (Unless of course, the young master did some unforgivable shit, then in that case, you might wanna need the system while you despair.)

Most arrogant young masters no matter how annoying, tend to have lots of potential and connections, but thats only for their own territory or realm, when you already know how many more realms there are and you got no mc halo or cheat wont you despair too? Even the talent they are so proud of is only so so in the grand scale of things.

They're lazy most of the time, and their arrogance tend to get in the way of their potential. If they took cultivation seriously, worked hard, and became humble, even if their potential won't get them very far, who's to say that a wondering hidden big shot won't notice their qualities (hard working and humble) and take them in as their disciple? It's not like this doesn't happen to main characters.

When you just transmigrates, you don't think about all that. You just realise that you just transmigrated into a cannon fodder for the mc. But later you will realize your advantages and steps to avoid desth flags

If you have not understood yet, there is a very small amount of authors that write good and interesting novels. Most of them currently are trying to run on the trend with making 'evil' mc's, or 'young master' mcs(in the end, they were misanderstood, or the mc just reincarnated and is going to change everything). They totally fail because they can not write true evil or cuning or even smart mcs (to write a attracting and complicated plot, you need to be smart yourself and understand human psycology). That is why all these average authors write average novels because that is only what they are capable of. I am not being mean, I am stating the truth even though it may sound harsh. This novel's mc was trash, as you pointed out, there were a lot of things he could have done, but author wanted to make him with the mind of a 12-13 year old. I do not know any adult males that act like that.
