Chapter 71: Garden of Ages

Chapter 71: Garden of Ages

[ You have entered the Level 500 Hidden Area -- Garden of Ages. ]

The world shifted around Axir as he stepped through the crack in space. The incorporeal form granted by the fruit faded as his boots touched solid ground.

The Garden of Ages stretched before him.

It was a vast realm where time itself seemed fractured. Ancient trees towered thousands of meters high and hundreds of meters wide with complex branching.

Their trunks were wider than city blocks, and bark etched with glowing runes that pulsed in patterns too complex to follow.

The canopy above was a kaleidoscope of colors that shouldn’t exist together: autumn golds bleeding into spring greens, winter frost crystallizing alongside summer blooms.

Between the colossal trees, rivers of liquid light flowed upward, defying gravity as they carved luminescent paths through the air.

Fragments of stone architecture, columns, archways, and entire buildings floated suspended at various heights, slowly rotating as if caught in an invisible current. Some were pristine, others crumbled with age that could be measured in eons.

Axir looked up at the familiar sight.

Day and night coexisted in separate bands, with dawn perpetually breaking on the eastern horizon while dusk eternally settled in the west. Stars visible in patches of darkness twinkled with colors.

’As beautiful,’ Axir thought, his eyes scanning the terrain with tactical precision. ’And as dangerous as always.’

Without further ado, he activated the Smell Converter card. This card was essential to survive here.

This garden had exotic monsters and plants. Many poisoned players through smell, pollen, and other methods.

Some could go past the Mana Barriers easily.

But Axir had experience in this area because he was in the group that had conquered this area.

Although the Wisdom Tree Seed was taken by another player called TechnoGod, one of the top ten players in terms of combat power. He had contributed most, so he got the seed.

But this time, there was no one to compete with him.

Axir looked at his status.

[Axir Grimspire]

Level: 343

Power Level: 3,477,485

Vitality: 7200/7200

Mana: 9600/9600

Constitution: 400 (+2000)

Agility: 500 (+1250)

Perception: 500 (+1100)

Arcane: 500 (+1100)

Luck: 1

Charm: 72

The Champion Field Boss he killed also dropped a Prime 5-star Legendary crimson light armor with black and gold patterns.

It was badass in design, and it increased his Constitution by 500% as well as gave 71 charm as its Equip Boost.

The other four equippable gears were Prime 2-star ones.

Axir vanished as he made quick rounds around the area with Airbending Boots, too fast for eyes to follow,w as he began scanning the entire area.

And while he did that, he activated the cards.

Prime 9-star card, Ash Veiled Skin (Blazing Blood). This was a passive card, but its Blazing Blood stacks would start triggering once he took damage, which he did by hitting himself.

10-star card, Sunlit Motion Engine. +500% Action Speed. This was also a passive card, but to maintain its boost, he needed Sunlit Fuel, which he perpetually acquired if he was under the sun or if he absorbed fire-based resources.

Prime 7-star card, Dark Blood Infusion. He didn’t wait this time because he didn’t need to recover his vitality.

His new vitality after reaching level 343 and gaining Prime 5-star armor gear was insane.

The 500 foundational Constitution tripled, becoming 1500. And 500% of that from armor added 7500!

7500 Constitution = 75,000 Vitality!

0.1% of that vitality was 75.

That meant at 50% vitality, he would gain 3750 Agility from Dark Blood Infusion.

And 3800 Arcane from Wailing Misery!

After five seconds, Axir had scanned the entire area and every detail. The boost in perception meant he could perceive everything faster and better, especially within his Mana Field.

The size of this area was around 200 million square kilometers. A little less than half of Earth’s size.

The center of this area had a gigantic tree reaching 100 kilometers upward. The final rested there.

But there was a barrier around the tree that could only be destroyed after the four Sentinel Tree Bosses in this area died.

Naturally, Axir didn’t hurry towards the boss.

There were tons of level 500 monsters of Normal, many Elite, and ten Champion monsters.

A new weapon appeared in his hand, the one that replaced the Volstring Warbow.

[Solar Rift Glaivebow]

- Attack: 120 + (120% Agility + Arcane)

- Cost: 5 Mana per ranged shot | 2 Mana per melee swing.

—> Can switch between Glaive Mode and Bow Mode instantly. Switching modes empowers the next attack, doubling Flame Core effects.

—> Bow Mode: Shoots Riftflare Arrows that move along an established pathway towards a point in space designed by the user. Upon reaching the target, a shockflare spreads within a 10 to 50 meter radius based on the user’s decision, dealing shockwave damage to all living beings equal to weapon attack two times and pulling them towards the designated point with forceful attraction.

—> Glaive Mode: Each melee swing creates a short-range flame arc in space that can unleash two quick projectiles towards the target. Each hit strips the target’s fire resistance by 10%, up to 100%, deals damage equal to the weapon attack, and applies infinite burn with damage = 1% arcane per stack.

This was a perfect massacre weapon.

’Let’s reach level 500 first.’ Axir looked at the Blazing Blood stacks.

He just acquired the 4th stack.

’285 seconds to reach level 500. Then I’ll kill the bosses at 100 stacks.’

Axir loosened his grip once, feeling the balance of the Solar Rift Glaivebow settle into his palm.

The weapon hummed softly, a low solar resonance that bent the surrounding light toward it.

Bow Mode.

The glaive unfolded, the curved blade thinning and elongating as glowing solar filaments stretched into a bowstring that did not exist physically, yet pulled taut with invisible tension.

Axir raised the weapon and drew.

No arrow formed.

Instead, a thin line of molten sunlight traced a path through space itself, anchoring at a point nearly ten kilometers away that Axir marked.

And released.

His arm blurred as he instantly pulled the arrow 100 times in a second.

And like a salvo of bombardment, they were placed with exactly 50 meters distance between each other, as the 100 arrows effectively covered an area of 5000 meters!

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! X 100

Within that 5000 square meters of area, a total of 174 monsters were caught. Small and big. Sneaky and deadly. Heavy and light. All of them.

All monsters were forcefully glued towards the point.

And exactly one second later, at the exact point where monsters were sucked and struck, another salvo of a hundred projectiles landed.

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! X 100

Fortunately, he got Wailing Misery, or he would have depleted his Mana fast.

He was at 76% of his vitality, but as his vitality lowered every three seconds, he gained 76 Arcane, and thus 760 Mana every three seconds!

100 arrows took 500 Mana only. His basic Mana recovery was also fast, and on top of the Mana recovery buff he took by chugging a potion, he wasn’t losing Mana despite shooting 100 arrows per second.

Axir floated in the center of the area while shooting salvos of 200 arrows in different areas, covering spheres of 100 kilometers and unleashing shockwave destruction.

Slowly, he increased his speed.

200 arrows per second.

300 arrows per second.

But even at 1500 Mana consumption per second, he wasn’t losing Mana yet.

He covered more areas and began massacring monsters.

Notifications rang, and his level increased every second.

Every three seconds, he gained 50% attack speed boost, 50% move speed boost, and 50% damage boost with Blazing Blood.

His vitality was also lowering, so he got more and more damage.

After 73 seconds.

[ Congratulations to Player Ace for being the first player to reach level 400. ]
