Apocalypse Gachapon

Chapter 2003: Survival

Chapter 2003: Survival

"It's over."

Jie Su also said this.

His previously motionless hands suddenly pushed forward. The rampant energy beside him suddenly stilled for a moment, then, as if finding an outlet, all blasted onto the Armored Thorn Race assassin who was still frantically attacking Jie Su.

That assassin immediately flew out like a kite with a broken string.

Jie Su withdrew his hands. Seeing that the assassin, who had tumbled far through the air and crashed into a nearby building, did not fall, clearly not dead, and her injuries were probably not as severe as he had anticipated, he raised his hands again, his ten fingers constantly flicking lightly.

"If you can withstand these attacks, then congratulations, you can kill me." The indifference in Jie Su's words was heart-palpating. "If you cannot, then the one who will die is you."

As he spoke, the light pattern formations above his head and beneath his feet began to twist and unravel. Then, line by line, they swiftly shot towards the Armored Thorn Race member.

Before, Jie Su had controlled beams of light slashes, emphasizing chopping. Now, it was strands of light lines, emphasizing piercing.

The Armored Thorn Race member screamed. The bone spines on her feet all exploded, one after another, flying towards these light lines. Each time one collided, the bone spine would directly explode, but that light line would also disappear accordingly.

For a time, the space between the two people continuously produced such collisions, with loud, percussive sounds ringing nonstop. However, the number of the Armored Thorn Race member's bone spines was ultimately limited. After all the bone spines had exploded, whether because the Armored Thorn Race member was already injured or for some other reason, the remaining light pieces, almost without any obstruction, all pierced into the body of this female assassin.A large amount of blood gushed from her body. After all, these light pieces disappeared after hitting the target. With hundreds of holes all over her body, the blood would almost drain within moments.

But the Armored Thorn Race member was laughing, using her vicious face full of holes.

She opened her mouth but said nothing. But the next moment, her body suddenly swelled, then with a hong sound, her entire body turned into a mass of flesh and blood, wrapped in a wave of energy, rushing towards Jie Su to smash him.

So this was the reason she was laughing. Jie Su thought in his heart, a bitter expression appearing on his face.

He actually wasn't very proficient with the Following Formation. His strength was also inadequate to control the formation. If he hadn't truly encountered a moment today where he had to fight for his life, he wouldn't have brought out this thing that was top secret even within the Su Clan.

Unfortunately, the massive energy required by the Following Formation was not something his current body could bear. After using the last of his ability, he was powerless to dodge this secret technique the assassin somehow performed, actually able to attack once more, even after turning into flesh and blood.

Jie Su could see that this mass of flesh and blood was not simple; it contained the assassin's bodily energy from before her death and part of the energy from the light lines Jie Su himself had just emitted. Never mind himself in his current state; even at his peak, whether he could take this hit head-on was a question.

He closed his eyes, suddenly feeling an extreme regret. There were still too many things he hadn't done. He hadn't yet seen his brother White Robe get married, hadn't seen Ye Zhongming, whom he always had high hopes for, grow up, hadn't realized his ideal of glorifying the Su Clan...

The flesh and blood energy ball hadn't arrived yet, but the blood stench had. Jie Su waited for death, not caring about these things. But suddenly, a force knocked into his body, making him directly fly away to one side.

Jie Su was stunned for a moment before realizing that someone must have punched him, very forcefully, but not intending to kill him, because the punch landed on his upper arm. He understood this person's goal was just to push him away.

However, in the urgency, the force wasn't easy to control. Too little might be too late; too much might actually kill the completely defenseless Jie Su. So the moment Jie Su fell to the ground, he knew the bone in this arm was probably cracked.

But such an injury was nothing compared to saving his life.

He struggled a bit and looked up, only to see a golden-masked warrior, panting, looking at him with eyes that held the relief of surviving a disaster.

………………………………

"It wasn't very useful, but it could buy time."

When Ye Zhongming said this sentence, Qiemen truly didn't understand what it meant until he felt extreme danger approaching.

At the critical moment, he displayed the instinct of an excellent assassin. His body adjusted its direction slightly, while the energy within his body concentrated towards a spot on his back. Simultaneously, his hand lowered slightly, and a crystalline curved blade appeared in his hand.

This space, which he had sealed entirely, suddenly shattered. A giant fist shadow broke in from behind, hitting Qiemen's back.

The location was exactly the spot he had shifted to expose.

Qiemen had a head of long hair. If one thought it was just decoration or personal preference, that would be a big mistake. At this moment, they also served as a barrier.

The originally soft hair strands all became hard and straight at this moment, blocking in front of the giant fist shadow like a steel plate.

With a hong sound, the head of long hair turned into shrapnel. The dimmed fist shadow then imprinted onto his back.

The huge force made his body violently shake once before flying forward. And the direction he flew... was exactly towards Ye Zhongming.

This assassin, even in a moment of peril, did not forget to complete his mission, to kill the target.

Ye Zhongming's face changed.

He was so sure that someone would come to help him because he had confidence in the Library Palace. This place wasn't too far from the Library Palace, or rather, it was simply within their inner circle sphere of influence. Within this city, there were also eight hundred and fifty Librarians hidden. Why did he choose to break open a corner of this space? Besides letting the loyal golden warrior escape, it was to expose the situation here to broad daylight.

He believed the Librarians would certainly come. He even felt he might not need to hold on for that long; perhaps there were Librarians secretly protecting him right behind him.

In fact, he guessed half right. There were indeed Librarians following him, but they left when they reached the restaurant entrance. However, this place was ultimately too close to the Library Palace. Discovering the situation was wrong, the nearest Librarian had already come to reinforce.

A person in a black long robe walked out from the shadows. Looking at this Phantom Killer Clan assassin, who was still daring enough to use his force to kill Ye Zhongming, he snorted. With his other hand, he raised, and a giant palm shadow, similar to the previous fist shadow, appeared not far in front of Ye Zhongming, swatting directly at the flying Qiemen.

With a pa sound, the leader of the Phantom Killer Clan was sent flying.
