Chapter 1064 1,063: Tiamat!

Chapter 1064 1,063: Tiamat!

Rei Ao left.

He left behind the suspended Holy Grail, the twisted sky, a wrecked courtyard, and countless unanswered questions.

"…"

Artoria's grip on her holy sword tightened slightly, her emerald eyes filled with complicated emotion.

Iskandar stared at the spot where Rei Ao vanished, then glanced up at the sky.

A rough breath escaped his chest—no one could tell if it was a sigh or a low exclamation.

Waver was still sitting numbly on the ground, mind completely blank.

Ishtar and Ereshkigal exchanged a look, each seeing the same heaviness reflected in the other's eyes.

Irisviel hugged the two Sakura/Rin children tightly in her arms, gazing anxiously in the direction Rei Ao had disappeared.

And at this moment, Rei Ao himself—

His consciousness, or rather his very existence, seemed to pass through layer upon layer of overlapping veils, slipping free of the coordinates of the mortal world…

And stepping into a "domain" that could hardly be described in words.

This was neither the material world, nor a purely spiritual space.

All around him stretched an endless "void" suffused with a faint flowing radiance.

There was no up or down, no left or right, no sense of time passing.

Only some vast, primordial "information" and "laws" existed here, omnipresent like background radiation.

This place lay close to the outside of the world—

Or rather, it was a rift at some manifested layer of the Counter Force itself.

"Arbitrarily interfering with the course of reality and erasing a critical 'anomalous point'—your actions have already gone far beyond the bounds permitted to a 'bystander.'"

A clear, icy voice rang out from every direction in the void.

It sounded like the overlapping whispers of countless humans…

Yet also carried an inhuman hollowness, the voice of a little girl that clearly wasn't human.

"Outsider, your power and your existence in themselves are the greatest 'anomaly' to this world. Return the authority you've stolen and leave."

Another voice followed, also childish and girlish.

But it was calmer, weightier, as though it carried the eternal echoes of mountains and rivers, grass and stars—indifferent and rejecting, like the will of the planet itself.

Both voices had the tone of a young girl.

But their essences were completely different.

One pointed to the "collective" of humankind.

The other pointed to the will of the "planet."

Rei Ao's figure solidified within that void.

He seemed to be standing on an invisible plane.

He glanced around.

There was no surprise or tension on his face.

If anything, his expression held a faint, unsurprised smile.

"Since you're here, you don't need to hide."

He spoke calmly, his voice carrying clearly through this strange space.

"Alaya. Gaia. Don't you think it's a bit insincere to keep skulking in the shadows?"

The void fell silent for a moment.

The next instant—

Light and shadow stirred in the empty space before Rei Ao, slowly condensing into two petite figures.

On the left stood a girl in a black Western-style gothic dress.

Her long silver-white hair fell all the way to her ankles like a waterfall woven from moonlight.

Her features were as exquisitely perfect as a doll's.

Her pupils were deep violet, and within them countless human images seemed to appear and vanish in an instant.

Barefoot, she hovered in the air.

A cold, tightly woven sense of "order" coiled around her.

She was the visualized form of the human collective unconscious—Alaya.

On the right was a girl wearing a dress of emerald green, as if it were naturally woven from countless leaves and vines.

Starlight and dewdrops were scattered through her green hair.

Her eyes were a pure emerald, full of the vibrancy of life and nature…

Yet also holding the ancient indifference and age of the planet itself.

She was the manifested will of the planet—Gaia.

Both embodiments of the Counter Force appeared in the form of seemingly young girls.

But the look in their eyes and the aura they radiated were more than enough to make any sentient life keenly aware of its own insignificance and tremble.

Right now, they both carried obvious wariness and rejection as they stared fixedly at Rei Ao.

"Outsider, your existence has disrupted the balance."

Alaya's voice was ice-cold.

"Return the authority and leave this world."

Gaia's voice brooked no argument.

Rei Ao merely chuckled softly, looking them over with clear interest.

"Oh? Disrupted the balance?"

"All I did was help clean up a few 'bugs' that might've been a little troublesome for you to deal with yourselves."

"As for that 'authority'…"

He shrugged. "That wasn't something I stole. It chose me. Simply put—because I'm stronger."

"And besides, I'm still rather interested in your world for the time being."

A shard of cold light flickered in both Alaya's and Gaia's eyes at the same time.

Clearly, words alone weren't going to solve this.

"In that case, we'll drive you out by force."

Alaya's voice fell.

"Show them the danger an 'anomaly' poses."

Gaia spoke in the same moment.

The two embodiments of the Counter Force raised their hands in unison, pointing toward the void where Rei Ao stood.

In that instant, the surrounding emptiness shook violently!

A force far surpassing that of Servants—no, even surpassing ordinary Heroic Spirit concepts—was stirred and gathered!

Chaotic light and shadow twisted and spun.

"Roar!!!"

A colossal shadow beyond description was forcibly summoned out of the depths of the void, accompanied by a low roar like both creation and apocalypse!

It was a "monster" that defied precise description.

Its size was as vast as mountains.

Its main body took on a vaguely feminine outline,

But its form was composed of something like molten rock, black mud, star-dust, and the wailing phantoms of countless souls.

Crown-like yet shackle-like giant horns extended from either side of its head.

A draconic-serpentine body as vast as a mountain range thrashed madly behind it.

An extreme contradiction of creation and destruction, affection and hatred, welled off of her in waves.

Her mere presence here was enough to make this realm of the Counter Force begin to destabilize.

Beast II, the Beast of Return—Tiamat, the Primordial Mother, one of the gods of creation—now manifested in her disastrous "Beast" form…

Summoned forth by the Counter Force as a "weapon"!

Her eyes were empty.

Only the instinct for destruction and return howled within her, locking onto Rei Ao, the anomaly!

Seeing the creature that had been summoned,

Rei Ao's brows lifted slightly as a flash of understanding passed through his eyes.

It quickly gave way to a faint displeasure.

"Tiamat, huh…"

He murmured under his breath, "You do know how to pick your enforcers."

"But this form…"

"I really don't like it."
