Chapter 1596 - 584: Western Duel
Chapter 1596 - 584: Western Duel
"Moreover, Nevada is a part of the Democratic Party, and the boss has some sensitive ties with the Democratic Party right now. It’s best if things like this don’t happen!"
Joachim Lang curled his lips; he felt that Tyrone Capello was being a bit too cautious.
Even if the boss has some sensitive ties with the Democratic Party, Loren Tyson is just a nobody. Would the Democratic Party really get upset with the boss over a nobody?
Though he felt disdain, Joachim Lang decided to listen to Tyrone Capello and said, "So what do you suggest I do?"
Tyrone Capello replied, "Eat when you need to, drink when you want to, have fun as you please. Since we can’t figure out what Loren Tyson is planning, let him make the first move!"
As he said this, Tyrone Capello was immensely confident.
Joachim Lang said, "All right, I’m leaving then. I heard that James’ place has got some new dancers these days!"
Tyrone Capello glanced at Joachim Lang’s physique and said, "You should work out a bit. With your body, I’m afraid you might run out of energy after a few moves!"
Joachim Lang blushed and then retorted with a cold snort, "I don’t need to move; I can let them do the work!"
"Heh heh!" Tyrone Capello continued to tease, "You’ll miss out on a lot of fun that way!"
Joachim Lang: "..."
At four in the afternoon, the two of them parted ways.
Joachim Lang went to his appointment, while Tyrone Capello arrived at a bar called the Paradise Palace located on the west end of Las Vegas Boulevard!
Technically, Prohibition hadn’t officially been lifted in Nevada yet.
But nobody bothers about the bars operating anymore.
The Paradise Palace Bar is quite long, with a black liquor cabinet and bar counter dividing it into sections, each overseen by different servers.
The west side is furnished with tables and chairs for drinking patrons, with servers occasionally weaving through the crowd to serve their requested beer or whiskey.
Tyrone Capello pushed the door open and was first greeted by pleasant music, which wasn’t from the bar itself; someone was performing with their own instrument.
The patrons all noticed Tyrone Capello.
They couldn’t help but notice; the biggest news in Las Vegas recently was that people from Atlantic City were making a splash, aiming to build the most luxurious hotel here.
Everyone knew that Tyrone Capello was the representative from Atlantic City.
All eyes were on Tyrone Capello, most of them with resentment.
Las Vegas was their Las Vegas, not Atlantic City’s Las Vegas.
They didn’t welcome people from Atlantic City.
But this unwelcome feeling was kept inside, not shown outwardly.
Unperturbed by these looks, Tyrone Capello approached the bar and sat down, across from Fiona Bass, the server at Paradise Palace Bar.
Fiona Bass!
Tyrone Capello visited this spot daily, and Fiona Bass had grown familiar with him.
"The usual, a sandwich and a beer!"
The Paradise Palace Bar didn’t just sell drinks; they sold food too!
Fiona Bass lowered her head to prepare Tyrone Capello’s order.
Tyrone Capello noticed a bruise at the corner of Fiona Bass’s eye and asked.
"Is this because of me?"
Fiona Bass lifted her head, her gaze chilly: "Since you already know, why do you still come?"
Tyrone Capello replied calmly, "Because I want to see you!"
Fiona Bass said coldly, "But your desire to see me got me beaten up!"
Tyrone Capello said, "If you’re willing to stay by my side, these issues wouldn’t be problems anymore!"
The first time Tyrone Capello came to Paradise Palace Bar, he took a liking to Fiona Bass.
It wasn’t affection, just the desire to possess!
But Fiona Bass was a married woman, with her husband, Mr. Bass.
Mr. Bass was a worker building the Hoover Dam and then settled in Las Vegas, marrying Fiona last year!
"Hey, Atlantic City boy!"
Just then, a slightly drunk white man approached where Tyrone Capello was seated.
"What can I do for you, sir?"
Tyrone Capello asked politely.
But his politeness drew laughter within the Paradise Palace Bar.
They saw it as an act of weakness.
"I’m here to tell you, this is Las Vegas, and you’re not welcome. Go back to where you came from!"
The man said smugly.
On a usual day, he wouldn’t have dared to be so bold, but things were different now; the alcohol and Tyrone Capello’s seemingly meek attitude... had emboldened him.
Tyrone Capello adjusted his posture to directly face the man.
"What if I don’t leave?"
"Hey, I know you’ve brought a lot of people, but that doesn’t change the fact that you’re a coward. If you’ve got guts, we can duel!"
As he said this, the man pulled a revolver from his pocket!
Such incidents hardly shocked the bar patrons.
Las Vegas still retained some aspects of the Wild West.
Like drawing guns at the slightest disagreement!
The patrons even seemed to look forward to it.
Soon, their anticipation turned to fear.
Because the moment the man drew his gun, ten people stormed into the Paradise Palace Bar, two with handguns, eight brandishing AK-47s.
These were Tyrone Capello’s bodyguards, people Donnie had arranged for him.
The man, clearly inebriated, was undeterred by the situation.
Instead, he became even more arrogant!
"What? Does everyone from Atlantic City rely on numbers to bully?"
Tyrone Capello looked at him and asked, "So, if I don’t accept your challenge, Las Vegas will look down on me?"
"That’s right!" The man said proudly, head held high!
Tyrone Capello chuckled and said, "So you think I will accept your challenge?"
"Unless you want to admit you’re a coward!" The man continued to provoke Tyrone Capello!
Tyrone Capello nodded and said, "OK, put away your gun, and we’ll duel outside now!"
Fiona Bass suddenly spoke up: "Carter is the fastest gunman known in Las Vegas!"
Tyrone Capello smiled at Fiona Bass and said, "Today, I’ll have my people discuss your divorce with Bass!"
Fiona Bass fell silent.
Carter listened to Tyrone Capello, put away his gun, and prepared to duel outside with Tyrone Capello.
But just two steps out, Tyrone Capello’s men shot him dead!
Without any hesitation!
The entire bar erupted in outrage, for Tyrone Capello’s actions desecrated the rules they had long upheld.
Such actions were naturally despised in Las Vegas too!
Yet Tyrone Capello paid no mind to their anger, simply standing up and calmly looking at them.
"I don’t care who put Carter up to this, but I’m here to tell you, the rules of Las Vegas don’t apply to me, someone from Atlantic City.
You can challenge Atlantic City’s rules if you wish.
But before you do, ask yourselves if you’re up to it.
And to whoever is hiding, know this: I’ll pretend today never happened, but if it happens again.
I promise, no matter which sewer you’re hiding in, I’ll find you and take you out!"
With that, Tyrone Capello resumed his seat, smiling at Fiona Bass and saying, "My sandwich!"
Then, as Tyrone Capello’s men, armed with guns, watched over the entire bar, the patrons focused their gaze on Tyrone Capello.
Tyrone Capello focused solely on his sandwich!
