Chapter 1471 - 419: Sorry, I’m an Undercover Agent
Ramos couldn’t withstand the turret and got killed by it.
Bale asked dumbfounded, "Weren’t we supposed to be stealthy?"
"Yeah, but success in stealth means no witnesses,"
Ramos said dismissively.
If Bale had followed up, he wouldn’t have needed to flash.
After gaining the advantage on the bottom lane, Huang Kaiwen controlled Annie and headed to the mid lane.
Without flash, he was more cautious.
The NA server has many players with former DOTA experience, and you never know when they might come and gank.
On the bottom lane, Ramos and Bale were locked in a fierce battle with the opponents.
Basically, whenever either side barely returned to lane, a message would pop up on the screen.
At the 10-minute mark, Huang Kaiwen had 90 CS, and upon pressing TAB, he saw that both his bottom lane teammates had scored barely over 10 CS each.
Ramos’ personality isn’t really suited for playing ADC.
Fortunately, the top lane was doing well, easily crushing the opponent.
In the next game, switching Bale to AD and Ramos to support as Alistar seemed to work out better.
Huang Kaiwen played jungle Fiddlesticks, scaring the opponents silly.
They kept playing until after 8 PM when Albert urged them to stop for dinner.
After dinner, Bale went home.
He still lives with his parents and has a girlfriend two years his junior, Emma.
They haven’t moved in together yet; the girl will graduate high school at the end of the season.
Huang Kaiwen and Ramos played a few more games.
The mid-jungle synergy was so effective that the opposing mid player even rage-quit.
It wasn’t until 11 PM that Huang Kaiwen went upstairs to sleep.
The next day, Ramos drove Huang Kaiwen to Cobham.
After changing clothes, they realized Boas was standing on the sidelines.
Boas waved with a smile, beckoning Huang Kaiwen over quickly.
Once he and Ramos entered the training grounds, Boas, with his hands in his pockets, said, "Just to let you know, Jose needs to rest for a while — he has a fracture. So, I’ll be stepping in as the first team’s interim head coach for the time being. After evening practice, stick around; I’ll announce tomorrow’s starting lineup against Manchester City."
As Boas turned to leave, Ashley Cole immediately spoke up, "Did the boss mess up his knee again? Should we pay him a visit?"
"Go if you want, I’m not going,"
Terry said bluntly.
He suspected Ashley Cole just wanted to mock Mourinho in person.
Terry had no interest in getting involved in such a situation.
"You’re really heartless, the boss has coached us for a long time,"
Ashley Cole prodded without giving up.
He actually wanted to see Mourinho’s plight.
"I’m not going anyway,"
Terry firmly refused.
"Kevin?"
Ashley Cole grinned as he leaned in to ask.
"I’m not going either,"
Huang Kaiwen shook his head and said.
"You guys are heartless, the boss is an important part of our team,"
Ashley Cole said, getting agitated and hopping impatiently.
Mourinho would be out of the hospital in no time.
"Do you want me to go with you?"
Matic, clueless about the situation, asked in choppy English.
"You? Great, kid, you’re a good one!"
Ashley Cole replied with a smile and a nod.
He actually would have preferred to bring Huang Kaiwen or Terry along, for safety reasons.
But taking Matic was fine; he could just shift all the blame onto the kid if things went south.
As for what might happen if he were found out as the mastermind, Ashley Cole hadn’t thought about it.
And he didn’t care.
What, did Mourinho plan to demote him to the youth team?
Huang Kaiwen wanted to find an opportunity to tell Matic not to hang around with Cole.
With Mourinho’s personality,
when he felt embarrassed, visiting him wouldn’t do any good.
There were rumors about his knee, but the team doctors said it was a fracture, Boas said so too.
Huang Kaiwen watched the footage of Mourinho’s fall several times post-match, and he also felt it must have been a fracture.
But given how ridiculous the fall looked, prideful Mourinho would rather the whole squad forgot about his injury.
Visiting him in the hospital at this time would definitely make you memorable.
Sadly, Cole was gripping Matic tightly, and Huang Kaiwen couldn’t find a chance.
After practice, watching Cole drive Matic to the hospital, Huang Kaiwen could only silently wish Matic good luck in his heart.
...
Queen Mary’s Hospital at the University of London.
Mourinho lay in bed staring at the ceiling.
Ever since he learned divination, his injuries became more frequent.
Mourinho thought it was the price of glimpsing fate.
He wasn’t too concerned about this; he often got injured when playing football and had gotten used to it.
What worried him more was how to avoid hurting his knee again.
Just as Mourinho got lost in thought.
The door to the ward suddenly swung open.
Seeing Ashley Cole bringing Matic, the smile on Mourinho’s face vanished, thinking it was his wife coming.
"Boss, the new guy was real worried about your injury, so he asked me to bring him over to see you,"
Ashley Cole said, holding a large bouquet.
Matic nodded energetically, though his English wasn’t the best.
Mourinho eyed the lilies in Ashley Cole’s hands, his eyelid twitching.
This flower symbolized purity in the United Kingdom and was also used in funerals.
It meant rest in peace, and may the soul return to its most innocent form.
He had his suspicions just now, but was now certain.
This bastard Ashley Cole really came to mock him.
Mourinho stared at Ashley Cole intently.
Ashley Cole instinctively wanted to flee, but on second thought, Mourinho wasn’t the head coach now, so he had nothing to fear.
