Chapter 617 - 621: Not Forgiving [2]

"Let me feel it!" He actually reached out to touch, but instead of touching the arm she held up, he gave her chest a pinch through her clothes. "The pecs are still the same, huh!"

Luo Xiaoqian blushed and jumped out of his embrace, "Eat your noodles!"

This guy was getting more and more practiced at being a hooligan!

Leng Zimo pulled over the plate, "Alright, after finishing the noodles, I’ll check your training results more thoroughly."

...

...

The next day, Leng Zimo went to work as usual, while Luo Xiaoqian threw herself into a series of promotional activities for her album.

Xu Pei still hadn’t appeared at the company, and Leng Zimo simply announced that she had taken a week off for sick leave.

After all, the promotional work was managed by Zhuo Yannan and their team; Xu Pei’s presence or absence didn’t make much of an impact.

After holding a fan meeting in Beijing, Luo Xiaoqian immediately left the Capital to go to several cities including Hong Kong and Guangzhou for signings and other promotional activities.

After being delayed for two days, Leng Zimo also flew abroad once again, on a business trip to discuss a project.

Meanwhile, the police investigation was still ongoing, but frustratingly, there wasn’t much progress on any front and the truth was still shrouded in mystery.

...

...

As night fell.

Xu Pei entered the nightclub once again, heading straight to the bar to order a drink. It had only been three days, but she already looked significantly haggard.

For the past three days, she had hardly eaten anything, drinking in the nightclub every night until she was dead drunk, then going home to sleep, waking up, and coming back to drink again.

"Miss, so lonely? Want some company?"

Soon, two men looking for fun approached and sat down beside her.

Xu Pei just kept pouring drinks into her mouth, ignoring them.

"How about it, let me keep you company!" The man said with a wicked smile, glancing down her neckline as he clinked his beer with hers, "It’s no big deal, or else, we could dance?"

"Sure, let’s dance!"

Xu Pei was already slightly drunk, putting down her glass on the bar and standing up to go dance in the crowd to the rhythm of the music.

The two men immediately closed in on her, one in front and one behind, dancing around her.

The lights flickered, casting the dancers’ faces—some seductive, some decadent—in sharp relief like ghosts or demons.

As they danced, the men got closer and closer to Xu Pei, their hands wandering over her body inappropriately.

"Get lost!" Feeling their actions, Xu Pei suddenly screamed, pushing both men away, "Don’t touch me, don’t touch me..."

Her overreaction drew the attention of many around her.

"Can’t handle the game and still come out to play?"

"What a poser, pretending to be a damsel!"

The two men cursed under their breath and left the dance floor.

Xu Pei went back to the counter, finished the drink in her glass, and staggered out of the restroom.

Inside the restroom, a man and woman were tightly embracing, tangled up, and when they saw her come in, they didn’t even pause but kept on with their actions.

Xu Pei’s chest heaved violently, and she rushed out of the restroom, sprinting out of the nightclub’s front door, losing control and vomiting by the side of the road.

After throwing up, she managed to fish out a tissue to wipe her face, then stumbled towards home.

Outside the nightclub, two young men saw her and exchanged a look before approaching. They walked up beside Xu Pei and, seeing no one else was paying attention, snatched her handbag from her grasp and ran off towards a nearby alley.
