In the middle of the night, Luo Xiaoqian woke up.

Opening her eyes, she saw a dark figure bent over by her side in the dim light.

"I woke up on my own!" she said, reaching out her palm.

Leng Zimo glanced at the thermometer in his hand and passed it to her.

"I’ll come back for it in a while!" The nurse tactfully left the room, and Luo Xiaoqian placed the thermometer under her arm.

Leng Zimo adjusted the blanket for her, "Are you hungry? Do you want some water?"

Even though Luo Xiaoqian shook her head to refuse, he still brought over a cup of hot water. After carefully testing the temperature, he inserted a straw and offered it to her mouth, "Take a sip!"

Even though she didn’t feel like drinking at all, she still took a couple of sips through the straw.

After setting the cup down on the table, Leng Zimo turned around, only to have Luo Xiaoqian grab his sleeve.

"There’s a bed over there; you should go sleep for a bit!"

He hadn’t slept last night and must have been busy with work all day. Furthermore, he had stayed with her in the evening. How could she bear that?

"I’m not tired!" Leng Zimo responded with a smile, sitting back down on the chair, "You rest assured and recuperate. I’ve already ordered the single’s release date to be postponed by a week. We’ll talk after you’ve adjusted your condition!"

"Okay!"

Luo Xiaoqian nodded. Before she could say anything else, the nurse walked back in, and she hurriedly took out the thermometer to hand it over.

"36.4 degrees, that’s good. Rest well!"

The nurse glanced at the reading, smiled at Luo Xiaoqian, and left again.

"Continue to sleep," Leng Zimo said as he lifted his uninjured arm to properly cover her with the blanket.

"Then you go sleep as well."

"I’m not tired," Leng Zimo simply shook his head. With the caregiver’s bed in the living room, he was still uneasy about letting her sleep alone here, "You sleep well, I’ll stay right here with you!"

Seeing his eyes bloodshot, Luo Xiaoqian pursed her lips, "Then...can you sleep with me? I’m...a little scared!"
